The tuna smelled funny and the salmon was a bit slimey. I mean, when you serve raw food, you need to be a little bit more careful, or else someone may get sick. The release roll (with strawberries!) was amazing and while I think sushi is their strong point, my boyfriend still enjoyed the green curry. They went above and beyond to cater to my friend's celiacs (gluten free) by making her sushi rolls with brown rice as apparently normal sushi rice is made with rice vinegar, which has gluten. She was thrilled since she really missed being able to eat regular sushi rolls instead of just sashimi. Everyone left happy! read more

Amazing sushi, always super fresh and presented in a very artistic manner. Located half a mile east of the Belvedere exit on I-95 with both inside and outside dining available. Sushi Jo does indeed have some pretty inventive sushi. I had a roll with tomato and cilantro which was pretty good. BUT, the price really took away from the experience. $15 was a lot for something that didn't have that much fish on it. Plus the roll was fairly small for that price. Everyone I know that has been here says it is the best sushi in town. I feel it is overpriced and I do not like warm or room temperature sushi and that seems to be all they serve. The service is fairly good if you go at a quieter time. If you are with a large party they will probably mess up your order. I have to say their sushi is good! I live about five blocks from this awesome sushi spot and recently brought a friend that was visiting West Palm. I must recommend the sashimi pizza and the dragon roll, honestly it was quiet at 4pm and few locals coming in for an early Friday dinner. the ambiance is great and the service staff was very friendly. I'm a sushi lover and have heard nothing but good things about Sushi Jo but sadly I was disappointed. Not with the sushi but the service. I ordered a few rolls Togo, when i got there i walked to the counter and said i ordered a Togo order she completely ignored me at first so i waited a second thinking she needed a minute to finish typing on the computer then after a second i said excuse me (nicely) and she threw her finger in my face and said I'll help you when I'm done with her... she pointed to a women 2 tables away and was basically talking to her across the restaurant. I wouldn't have interrupted had I known she was talking to someone but she was two tables away lol I didn't realize. Then upon leaving I requested some spicy mayo and soy sauce (normal right?) and the lady got so aggressive and started throwing soy sauce packets into the bag and was huffing and puffing about the spicy mayo and said "this isn't included but I'll give it to you this time". I would have paid for it but typically you aren't charged for sauces or at least not at the restaurants I go to. I was in a great mood until she got sassy for absolutely no reason. I understand people get busy or could be having a bad day but you work in the service industry... turn the frown upside and work. Don't be rude to customers who would potentially return. Hot Spot! This is a great place to start off your evening. The venue is small so make sure you call ahead or are willing to wait, especially in season. Their fish is extremely fresh and delicious. Great ambience with an eclectic crowd. The DJ spins house music past 12am. Attire is casual to formal, you will find a variety of dress here and can get away with anything. Definitely worth going back again! I have never been much of a sushi fan, but was brought there on a date and the rolls we ordered to share were fabulous.
