I kinda feel like Norm from Cheers when I enter Sushi Mioga, instead of having a beer waiting for me, I have plates of yummy sushi and pickled ginger. Tonight I was hungry, but since it was close to closing their track was pretty sparse. I ordered 4 rolls and decided to call it good. I did savor them without scarfing them down quickly. The restaurant was very nice with good music playing on the intercom system. I really wanted to like this place because the sushi train concept is fun, and it seems like a great, cheaper option for sushi since they charge by the plate. The different colored plates going by on the train make it easy to choose based on price, which I actually thought was a clever and convenient system. Unfortunately, the experience completely went downhill once I started eating. I found a hair inside my sushi roll, which is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable at any restaurant, especially one serving raw fish. To make things even worse, there was also a bone in a slice of salmon, which is not only careless but a serious safety issue. While the pricing and sushi train setup might seem appealing, none of that matters when basic cleanliness and food preparation standards aren't being met. The entire situation ruined my appetite and left me questioning their quality control. A fun concept and affordable pricing do not excuse this level of negligence. For the price, I thought Sushi Mioga was pretty solid! I ordered to go but they are a revolving sushi place if you wish to dine in. Prices are super reasonable and you get about 3-4 pieces depending on the type of roll. You can try a variety of items without spending a pretty penny. I tried 6 different items. My favorites were the seattle roll, seared salmon, and caterpillar roll. Ordering online was easy. Ordered takeout with my family the other night. The sushi here is quite good quality considering it's a fast-casual conveyer belt joint - the salmon is thick and fatty and the rolls are pretty good. I recommend the Beaverton roll! Because this place is more casual, it's quite a bit cheaper than most other sushi places as well. My one complaint is that our order was over 30 minutes late past our pickup time and the server was pretty rude, but I think they gave us a full plate of tamago sushi for free to make up for our late order (not 100% sure because they didn't say anything about it, but they gave it to us with our order and we did not order it). Had not visited her in some time. The pandemic didn't fix things. Unfortunately didn't read the low health score before venturing back for the sushi go round. Pleased to see the slimy menus had changed to a sturdy laminated card without mold growing between the laminations. Not one of the staff looked like they wanted to be there and we didn't see a server until we left. Their complete lack of attention to the customers was apparent after we sat down. Never asked if we'd like to order off the menu, which was fine as we wanted some cheap sushi and nothing more. No refills on our water. Sushi chefs refused eye contact nor cared that we might like something more than the sad sushi on the line. Sitting and watching the plate after plate with the protective covers leaning on the fish, not even half way on the plates wasn't appealing or sanitary. The sushi presentation itself was inconsistently plated, sloppy made in many cases and heavy on the rice, those with sauce were soaked coating the protective covers. My advice is avoid the food dangers here and don't risk your health. If you doubt this, take a close look at the sushi belt and how unclean and uncared for the line and food traveling by actually is. The nigiri is so delicious! My go-to's are the Salmon nigiri, the Seared Salmon and Washington roll. I dip it with their spicy mayo *Chef's kiss*. I'm not sure why but their spicy mayo is bomb. I also love the variety compared to some other revolving sushi places I've been to. If you don't see what you want on the conveyer belt, you can order it. I am not going to tell you this sushi track is perfect. It is not. And the sushi is not high end and the variety on the belt is not always dazzling. But. It is my teen's favorite place to get sushi. It makes us happy. The servers are friendly, the sushi chefs are fine with making us things we cannot find on the belt, the chairs aren't barstools ( when you are vertically challenged this matters) , and occasionally because we are here all the time they are extra nice to us and we feel at home. My teen always feels comfortable and always wants to come here especially after a bad day. We have our favorites: teen: mochi, teriyaki salmon, house roll, california roll, gyoza, wonton, miso, squishy chocolate cake, chicken katsu, ramune, and garden roll. me: miso, sesame balls, lion king roll, salmon nigiri, seared salmon, calamari, hot tea, and tempura shrimp. They are also open late and if you work until after 7 like I do that is a gift Additionally there is happy hour where plates are more reasonable when you have multiple hungry teens. So we will overlook the lack of sunomono/cucumber salad ( which we love) and the fact that it's getting a lot busier ( we started coming when they first opened) and continue to be big fans. Sunday night and most sushi places are closed. Of course that is when I am dying for sushi! Never tried this place so thought we would give it a go for delivery (lazy and watching the Olympics). The food arrived early and was surprisingly very good! I ordered what I assumed was yam tempura but was actually inside of a roll, but a happy surprise indeed! Very tasty. My dad's teriyaki chicken was terrific according to him (an expert on the dish I might add). The salmon was fresh and plump. The rolls were about 5 pieces instagrams of the massive 8, which I actually prefer so you can try more. All in all a very pleasant experience and we will order again. I ordered the California Roll 4pc $2.45, Tiger Roll 4pc $3.55, and Seattle Roll 4pc $3.00. The rolls here looked to be on the smaller side, but after comparing the California roll to other places, the filling was the same size, just the amount of rice used was less. I really can't complain for the price I paid. The California Roll tasted good and had sesame seeds on the outside. They had a good even layer of rice around the sushi topped with sesame seeds. The imitation crab was sweet and they had a good amount of avocado. The Tiger Roll featured a tempura shrimp that seemed to be refried per order and remained crispy with good texture. It was topped with imitation crab and sauce that created a delightful bite. The Seattle Roll had sesame seeds and masago outside the roll. The salmon inside looked to be the remaining pieces of salmon cut for more premium pieces. I would opt for a different roll instead of this one. While the price is affordable, Mioga is not a bad choice, but not the best choice. read more

I have tried their take out twice and the experience are quite different! The first time that I have ordered from this place is a Friday night, and when I went to pick up the food, the restaurant is quite busy and have people from various delivery companies waiting on their orders. We ordered different sushi and special rolls. They are super tasty and fresh. One thing that I want to point out is that their seaweed salad is really small, so I was a bit disappointed. The second time that I ordered from them on a Thursday and got delivered through Grubhub. However, this is quite a different experience. The fish was not too fresh, and I was a bit disappointed. I have ordered octopus sashimi and it was kinda watery and fishy. I think it might because the weekday there are fewer people ordering from them, so they are trying to get rid of the fish or something. Revolving sushi that is good for the price. Quality is not what you come here for. This place will scratch your sushi itch but don't expect much beyond that. They had their fish pre sliced in a tub. I watched the "chef" pull said tub out of the fridge and lay fish out like I was at subway. Never seen a tub of pre sliced fish in any sushi place before. Surprisingly, the fish wasn't terrible. I would describe it as, not as bad as I was expecting after seeing the tub. The seared salmon was actually decent. The only thing we really enjoyed though was the spider roll. Even now I'm not sure if it would compare with other places or if it wasn't as blah as our other items. It was however the fastest sushi experience I've ever had and the price was insanely cheap. Late dinner on a weekday and surprised how big the inside was, two counters on each side and a pretty large conveyor. Booths on one side and actual chairs for the belt. Also, the interior design is throughout the space- the blue/green work well and brings a casual vibe. Sushi in the belt was a good variety and good sizes too. The service was great- both from the servers and the sushi chefs making special orders. Greeted and seated right away, easy to grab their attention if we needed anything. Our drinks were refilled consistently and special orders came out fast. I saw regulars come in and see the server already know their order and greet them too. The prices of the plates maybe a little higher than other places but they are clearly displayed too. Wasabi, seemed fresh and ginger plus both soy sauces on the table. We asked for spicy mayo and the whole bottle was brought out! Sushi itself was fresh for being late (open until 9:30 which is one of the latest I have seen) in the evening and a variety still on the belt. Salmon was consistent and good compared to other places. Run. While it was decent over the years, seems like recently new management has come in and the quality is dropping quite a bit. The dealbreaker was a simple order of mackerel. The chef basically jerry-rigged some broken pieces including the very tail end that's inedible and so chewy that it should not be served. I was basically chewing on mackerel skin.
