They couldn't tell the customers walking in what time a wait for a table would be they just said "I'll let u know. I'm not sure " I walked in and was waiting for a order to go I ordered 1 roll. Fire dragon told it would take 10-15 min which I was totally fine with. Get my order and leave. Good thing I was only down the street when I checked. I went back because I was given the wrong order received a dragon roll. I could see the misunderstanding and realized it was a busy night so I wasn't bothered u till I got there and told them the situation and instead of being apologized to and letting me know they would replace my order. One of the servers and the owner repeatedly saying I understand fire dragon I repeated back to you dragon roll. (Which at this point to me didn't matter anymore). Good sushi, decent size place, and service is ok. My favorite is the lobster roll and the dragon roll. The lobster roll was a little messy as it came apart when I picked it up but it was delicious! What they can improve upon is checking on its patrons while there is still food on the table and not waiting until after everything is finished. This way we won't have to stop someone as they are trying to serve other tables. This place is definitely a good addition to downtown Glendora. It replaced a mexican restaurant which was always empty. I mean if there's one thing we don't need, it's another mexican restaurant. How can you compete when there is one in every corner?! read more

Came here as a last resort because everything else is closed today. The food is over priced for the quality. The waitress was friendly but she seemed new. WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE?! it used to be so well run, but after today, im having second thoughts. 1. service was super slow. it took around 35 minutes for the KBBQ order to be ready and they served other people, that came in WAY later, before they finally got to us. 2. happy hour is a rip-off. only effective if you buy alcohol. 3. our plate of food was burnt pretty bad on the bottom and the KBBQ wasnt juicy at all. it was pretty much just mediocre KBBQ. i thought they would make it pretty well here since it is run by koreans. guess not. 4. they charged us after 6 so we had to pay the regular price for the KBBQ plate, which was only 1 dollar more, but still. such a cheap-o move. 5. the peanut butter dressing for the salad was the only good part of the whole experience. probably never coming back. 6. if you want to go to a good sushi place in Glendora, go to miyako's! I LOVE the sushi from here and have never been disappointed - until today. I ordered food to go (pickup) through Doordash since I was out running errands. My order was confirmed by the restaurant, showed that it was being prepared, and then I got a notice that it was ready to be picked up. When I went in, I was basically yelled at by the older man at the front counter who told me there was no order. When I tried to show him the receipt on my phone, he angrily cut me off and told me there was no order and if I had a problem to contact Doordash because he wouldn't do anything about it. I tried to talk to him about it some more and he basically yelled at me to get out. Now, I have been coming here since they opened up years ago. I have dined in and taken out countless times. After the service I received today, I will NEVER go back here again and I will tell everyone I know to look somewhere else for their sushi. read more

I give this place a 4 star only because their normal menu can be a bit pricey. However, if you hit their happy hour (Sunday-Thursday 3-6) its a five star expierence. I had dinner here a few nights ago and cannot wait to go back. We had friendly, prompt service and always got what we wanted right away. Happy Hour includes beer and wine for between $1.99-$3.99, a selection of appetizers 50% off, and classic rolls 30% off. One important note is you must order alcohol to get the happy hour so if you don't drink, this isn't the happy hour for you. Off the appetizers we ordered stuffed jalepenos which were unlike any I have had before, gyoza, and calamari tempura. I will stop right here and I say I am absolutely obsessed with their calamari tempura. It is the best calamari I have ever eaten, and I have had a lot of calamari. I like it because it is slightly less battered then other calamari and somehow unique but oh so addicting-my poor boyfriend barely got a bite and offered to get me another order (ooops). We also ordered a spicy tuna roll as well as a eel cucumber roll, both were done very nicely. After a couple rounds of drinks plus all this food, we left spending under $30 on what we felt was very good quality food. We will be back soon for another happy hour night! read more

I really liked this place. The fish was very fresh and the sushi rolls were perfect. The waiters were all very nice and helpful. The owner even gave my friends and I a bottle of sake on the house! When I ask for something spicy that is what I got, none of that mild stuff! Sake bombs are smiled upon and this specific spot in Glendora is as happening as it will get (not that happening). Let me first start off by saying I come here pretty much once a week, primarily because they are allergy friendly (gluten free options!). If you come here and are served by Alan, you are in great hands. Pretty much every time I eat here I am served by him, however today was a different story. About half way through the meal, the servers changed and I was now greeted by a women who was not in the server uniform. My guess is she has ownership in the restaurant. She cleared my food before I was finished, she brought the check very early so I felt rushed and therefore did not order another roll, and then she proceeded to take a personal phone call and ignore all of the customers inside. I am normally extremely happy with Sushi N I, but I felt the need to write this review in hopes that something in this restaurant might change because it really is my favorite sushi place and I would hate for that to change. Again, the server Alan is fantastic, catering to my allergy in a friendly manner, and the food is great (kudos to the sushi chefs). My husband and I came across Sushi n I late one Saturday when our normal go to restaurant closed at 9pm and wouldn't take us when we arrived at 8:40pm unless we were planning to do take out, which didn't work for us b/c I was looking to sit down and enjoy my meal outside our house. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff, it was about 9pm so the buser was running around to clean all the empty tables, but we decided to just grab a seat at the sushi bar b/c we didn't want to rush him. He sat us with menus and asked us what we wanted to drink right away. They were very accommodating. There were still 3-4 tables with ppl when we arrived and you could tell some of them were regulars because they were joking with the server and owner while we were there! :) We ordered 3 rolls, 1 large hot sake and 2 large beers. The rolls were amazing! They reminded us of our favorite sushi place back in our hometown that we always went to before we moved and we had been dying to find somewhere that could match up to them. My husband loves shrimp tempura in his rolls and they have plenty of those options among many others. The fish tastes fresh, and definitely no fishy smell here (my husband is beyond picky when it comes to that and sushi places) We have since returned for a 2nd visit just last week and once again, can't complain about the food or service! Friendly staff, great rolls, and great atmosphere! We ordered two different rolls from the time before and one roll we had ordered last time! I recommend the Lakers roll, the Crunching Tiger Roll, and I can't remember the last one we ordered but they were so good! :) We will definitely be back again and again and again! Looking through the other reviews, I'm a little surprised there's so many 1 and 2-star reviews. My family and I went here recently to have lunch for my sister's birthday and I was a little hesitant because I wasn't a fan of Japanese food. The only thing I ever got at Japanese restaurants was Teriyaki chicken because I was weirded out by sushi. We all got lunch specials that cost between 9 and 11 dollars and I got to try several different types of rolls as well as a couple of the appetizers. Turns out I actually do like Japanese food! I literally liked everything i tried, from the spicy tuna crispy rice to the James special roll, which seemed like a more Americanized roll that was fried and had cream cheese in it. I even went again later in the week because I liked this place so much! For 9.95, you get a salad or miso soup (the peanut dressing is great! How did I just find out about this stuff?!), 8 pieces of California or Spicy Tuna roll, and 6 pieces of a special roll, with many good options to choose from. The people here are really nice too. There is a nice lady who I think owns the place along with her husbans who always says hello to us and is very hospitable.
