My family and I have given this place enough tries now. I believe we are now on the fourth run, and we'll call it quits, and move on. We don't get carried away on the sushi, but rather stick to the typical items ,like teriyaki chicken, california rolls, and tempura. I'm not bothered too much on the prices. They seem fair for what you are receiving. And, for the most part, the food is really decent. But- its the service that makes me want to not step into here again. My family and I , on every occasion have had spotty service. We've witnessed the servers arguing with other, even the owner come from behind his sushi counter to start yelling at the help! Dude! Take it in the back! We do not need to see or hear this! It seems they only have one main server, and an assistant most of the time. I like a good evening with my family. My favorite sushi place!!! Out of all the sushi restaurants that I have tried with different people, my friends, boy friend, and family, sushi n I is my favorite. The staff is friendly and we never leave with out a smile. The food is delicious and the fish is good quality meat. My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time for my birthday dinner a few weeks ago. My boyfriend is not a sushi eater, so I made sure to find a Japanese place with plenty of cooked options. It smelled great when we walked in and they sat us down right away, however that was where the good times ended. We placed our orders, he ordered a beef bowl, I got two rolls and we got an appetizer to share. They brought out his beef bowl within 5 mins., he asked for a fork and that came 5 mins later. Then they asked me how everything was and I reminded them I had no food. Our waiter looked surprised and went to check on it. He came back a few mins later and explained that there was a mix-up and one of my rolls would take a few more mins to cook. I asked about the appetizer and he looked confused again and off he went to the kitchen. He came out with the appetizer and another 10 mins later my rolls. Everything tasted fine - no complaints there, however the service left much to be desired. Would try it again - maybe they were having a rough day. read more

This is my go-to sushi place! They have great specials and a lot of unique rolls plus the classics but my favorite is their albacore carpaccio appetizer. If you go on a weekend, make a reservation unless you don't mind waiting for a table and even then be prepared to wait- they are always packed so it is not really a get in and get out dining experience. I love everything about this place! I found it randomly when I "googlemapped" it on my phone and so I called in to get some sushi to go. The man who answered the phone was in a great mood and seemed genuinely nice. As a customer, I like when the staff is in a great mood because it shows that they care and are happy to be there, which basically puts me in a good mood as well! When I got there, I was greeted right away and had a nice little chit chat with the sushi chefs. Not only did they add a complimentary seaweed salad, but one of the chefs also made a pretty little flower simplyout of radish and a cucumber just for keeps :) Anyway, this is just the customer service part.......The sushi was amaazing. I ordered the dynamite roll, Mexico roll, dragon roll,spider roll, crunchy roll, and baked salmon/scallop rolls ( I ordered for a business meeting) and they were all so amazing!! My favorite were both the baked salmon and scallop rolls, dynamite, dragon, and the Mexico roll. Each roll had it's own distinct burst of flavors and tasted so good!! Even my clients at the meeting wanted to go back for happy hour! Anyway, bottom line is, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely go back! Popped in yesterday for lunch with the family, which includes the two year old twins. The restaurant is somewhat on the small side, but it is very comfortable. The twins each had a bowl of Miso soup and the shared the Chicken Teriyaki which comes with white rice and two pieces of beef goyza. I had my favorite, the Snow Roll, and G had his favorite, the Viking Roll (which takes a little longer to prepare and is delivered to the table flaming). All-in-all we had yet again another pleasant experience and we can't wait to return. read more

WISH I could give zero stars, horrible. And the server Hondu is so rude, it was so disappointing. I've been coming here, for months, almost once a week. I ordered the GOLDEN California Roll to go, and so he gave me the sushi and I went home. When I got home I opened up my sushi and saw that it was raw fish. I don't eat raw fish, it makes me sick. So I went back to the restaurant and told my the server Hondu (the guy that took my order) that he gave me the wrong thing. He basically said "oh well" He told me I would have to pay for a whole other roll (about 12 dollars) and I told him that it's not what I ordered. Then he says that's what he repeated back to me. But why would I order something that's raw fish in the first place? And I didn't have a menu, this is something I get all the time. He was like "Well if I wanted to pay for you to have what you ordered, that would be okay, but I really don't want to" Then I took my boyfriend and told him we're never eating there again. The food is usually really good, but the service is unpredictable, sometimes good, sometimes awful. They serve big glasses of decent wine. Our favorite spot in downtown Glendora (except for Ed's Place!)! The sushi is great - my husband always asks the sushi chefs to surprise him with something not on the menu, but he likes the rolls that are on the menu, too. I am not a big sushi fan, but there is plenty of options on the menu -I do love their vegetarian rolls, the spicy deep fried chicken, the cucumber salad (or any of their salads!), and I am especially fond of the Udon noodle soups. The house wine is just fine. We have always enjoyed good service - occasionally it might be a bit slow but that is when the place is packed. Everyone is friendly and they remember their customers. We've been regulars since we moved to Glendora 2 years ago and we like to support our local businesses. It helps that we can walk there from our home and, if the dog is with us we can sit outside with her. All the staff like and remember our dog, too, which goes a long way toward securing our loyalty and patronage! :) read more

Went there for the first & last time. Food was ok but the service was TERRIBLE!!! We were seated and the only utensils on the table were chopsticks. We asked for napkins, however while everyone in the restaurant had cloth napkins, our wanna-be waitress gave us paper napkins. Our sushi arrived with no wasabi & no ginger. We never saw our waitress again. We tried to flag a waitress/waiter down but had no luck. Someone else came over to ask if everything was ok, when we were done and handed us the bill. We went to Sushi n I for my birthday dinner. From the moment we came in, we were welcomed welcomed warmly. The decor is very nice, the restaurant is very clean. I had never enjoyed eating many variations of sushi previously, due to bad experiences with "fishy" tasting sushi in "good" restaurants before, but decided to branch out from my normal California Roll for my birthday. EVERYTHING we had was fresh and delicious! The menu had so many interesting choices that we had a hard time choosing. The sushi tacos were stunning in presentation and wonderful to eat. Every roll we had was better than the next. The Viking Roll comes out on fire and is a must. We had our little grandson there (15 months) and they brought out the Miso Soup for him (they do have a children's menu also) and my grandson loved the soup! Everyone, but me, eats sushi regularly and agreed that it was the best of the sushi restaurants! I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys a memorable sushi dining experience. read more

If you know sushi, this is THE BEST SUSHI within 50 miles. I only wish they had a location in South Orange County where I live! However, I'll drive up there any chance I have. We just had reservations for 10 with seasoned sushi and tempura palates and they were all impressed with the freshness, the portion size and the great service. The food here was just ok. However, the service was terrible. They forgot to bring one guest in our party (we only had a party of 6), and when we reminded them, it still took forever. Also, her order was wrong one she received it. They had 1cent Large Hot Sake on the menu, and when we ordered it, we were told it was no longer available, and that we should as the owner why. The waiter then suggested we order a pitcher of beer, and we asked the price because it was not on the menu, he told us it was $5, but then we were charged $7. The owner came by and we asked why they don't have the 1cent hot sake on the menu and he very rudely said "because i am the owner and I can do what I want", some one else then asked why it was still on the menu, and he said "it doesn't matter" and that "there is a sign outside that says no more 1 cent hot sake" when we left, we looked outside, and there was no sign. all in all terrible service, and barely decent food. will never go again. read more

Was yelping for a place to eat after a much needed massage and this restaurant came up. I love sushi so we tried it. It's located in a really cute area in Glendora, near shops and other restaurants. Inside is very romantic looking and we were greeted and seated. We ordered the hot night roll, baked lobster and dynamite roll. For appetizers, we ordered stuffed jalapeño peppers and the sushi burrito. The appetizers were really good and fresh. Jalapeño peppers were pretty spicy. Ive ordered this before from other sushi restaurants and this was the spiciest that i have ever tasted. Now, i am a big fan of baked rolls but the rolls we ordered were smothered with too much toppings--too much!! That all you really tasted was mostly the sauce and nothing else. I really liked the hot night roll and that was the only one that wasn't baked. It was very good. I really wanted to like this place. Customer service was great, the ambience was great, but the food, not that great. Will be going back to my regular sushi spot. read more
