Sushi here is always good. My husband also likes to get other dishes other than sushi and he's always happy with his choices. The staff is always soo nice and sweet. It's always a pleasant experience.

My family and I have been coming here since last year and have been hooked! It's located in a strip mall where there's ample parking. The ambience is chill and casual with TVs around for sports fans, though you can ask if they can change it to a cooking channel. We usually come here after my kids' sporting events, where they find comfort in their food and just by being there. The owner/manager Richard is always so warm and welcoming! Their sushi chefs and servers/hosts are friendly and attentive too! Their sushi rolls are bigger than some other sushi places around. We like their Salmon Tataki, Sun Shine roll, Heart Attack, Rainbow Roll, and Soft Shell Crab (the best I've had so far--perfectly crunchy and tastes clean). I tried a vegan roll, the Velicious Roll, which was pretty tasty (I've yet to have an acquired taste for the orange-colored sauce), as it had crunchy veggies and wasn't filled with a bunch of red cabbage like what I've had at other sushi places. If there's space at the sushi bar, we like to sit there and watch the chefs do their thang! One of them even made a cute orange animal figure for my younger daughter when it was our first time there!

I was visiting my parents out in Corona when they suggested we try out this sushi spot. I didn't have high expectations for sushi in Corona, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi here was actually quite decent, even though it wasn't anything overly fancy; they nailed the basics. We opted for the sushi boat, which included various nigiri sushi, mixed sashimi, a spicy tuna roll, rainbow row, and some delectable fried tempura. Every piece of fish tasted incredibly fresh, and the sashimi was expertly sliced, with nice, thick cuts. To add some variety, we ordered Hamachi Kamas (yellowtail collars), and they were cooked to perfection - a lovely char on the outside with moist, flavorful flesh on the inside. They came with a delightful ponzu dipping sauce that complemented them nicely. The Naruto roll, a rice-less roll wrapped in cucumbers, was a refreshing surprise. It had a clean, fresh taste that was quite enjoyable. We rounded off this delightful meal with some tempura matcha ice cream, which turned out to be so delicious that we ended up ordering three servings of it! All in all, this sushi spot in Corona is a solid choice for the area. The service was on point our server was nice enough to help us take a photo. I would certainly return if I were in the area and didn't want to travel too far for a satisfying sushi experience.

Great sushi place with vegan options! We stopped by on a Sunday and we're able to immediately get a table. I was pleasantly surprised to see there is a Vegan section on the menu with lots of different rolls you can get, including specialty rolls. I believe the one I got is fantastic vegetables in addition to an avocado roll. I will try the sweet potato one next time. Definitely recommend!

Let's begin with... I am not a sushi fan! I was invited here by friends and I thought what the heck? That being said, sushi, R91 has forever changed that. I can no longer say I am not a sushi fan! Let's begin with the fantastic staff. They understood I was not a sushi fan and made some wonderful recommendations for me. The vegetable tempura rolls, and the tempura shrimp were fantastic. My friends ordered some sort of salmon, wish I could remember what it was called. This salmon was amazing! And let's not talk about the sake, it was, let's say delicious. The bottle was empty when we left! The ambience, the staff and the food are fantastic. I would highly recommend sushi R91 to a first time sushi diner, a "I'm not a fan of sushi " person or someone who loves it! An epic experience, like the terminator said, " I'll be back"!

Went for dinner the other day. First thing I noticed was the smell of sewage. They have a plumbing problem. I ordered simple, shrimp tempura and a crunch roll. We had to ask for everything. They served the check without serving the sushi we ordered. Very apologetic, but we were not the focus of their attention for sure. Sushi was okay. Not that great. MoMo's blows them away. Also costs more. Shrimp tempura tasted like Carl's JR onion rings. I don't think I will be going back.

The place has new ownership, it seems better, but they don't have alcohol and one of there sushi chefs (Young Hispanic Kid) does not shut the "F" up. When you sit at the bar he will stare at you and tell you all his personal problems ‍‍‍ he will not stop talking! You cannot have a nice lunch/dinner with your girl cause he wants to talk talk talk. This place is solid! HUGE menu with great mid-week happy hour deals. The fish is fresh and I was impressed with the size of their rolls. Also got a bowl of ramen that was very tasty! There happy hour is truly amazing and 100% worth it! there sushi is fresh. Sometimes i get skeptical to try new places especially because i hated sushi zen but I truly loved this place and have gone back multiple times after wards. There prices without happy hour beat a lot of other local places but happy hour consists of sooo many rolls and fresh sushi i highly recommend giving this place a shot read more

Just tried this restaurant tonight for the first time and I was amazed at the great food and fantastic service! The owner Richard came and asked if everything was going well and he was an absolute delight! He was so accommodating and even had a shot with us! It was such an amazing experience!! I love that there's finally a great sushi place in town and I don't have to drive all the way to OC! I will definitely be back! The food and the service from all the staff was top notch!! Not to mention, the place was clean and had a lot of tvs! So you can watch whatever game is on, is such a plus!! Thank you for such a great time! We will for sure be back!! read more

We had a wonderful dining experience at R91 tonight - it exceeded our expectations. We were enthusiastically greeted as soon as we entered. The space is large and had no trouble accommodating a party of 6 without reservations. We had 4 rambunctious kiddos with us, and still the entire staff was friendly and gracious. The kids enjoyed the kids meal, California rolls (1 with crab only), Philadelphia roll (so good, they ordered seconds), fried rice with chicken and edamame. My friend and I enjoyed a bottle of nigori sake, Sunshine roll, Diablo roll, Santa Monica roll, and Yakuza roll - we loved them all and would order each of them again. One of my favorite local sushi spots is closed on Sundays, so I'm so happy we tried this place and look forward to returning. read more

Very good food service needs improvement. Rolls were delicious tempura calamari not worth ordering small portion and over cooked. From my observation they need more wait staff but that seems to be an issue everywhere. Worth giving this place a try! read more

Very nice staff, nice decor and ambiance. We came in a hour before closing and was scared we wouldn't be seated or the service would be less than but to our surprise the staff was very attentive, inviting and professional. The sushi was fresh and beautifully plated. The host was very nice and offered us free ice cream on the house because it was in the 100s today. It's hard for me to find a sushi place I like, I am picky! This place did not disappoint, so many good options I wanted to try each roll off the menu. The rolls are a good size, no huge and hard to eat in one bite. The staff is incredibly friendly and sweet. The interactions with myself and other customers set the atmosphere as if everyone had been friends for years. Hands down I've found my go to sushi spot! Can't wait to come back and try more rolls! I went here because if all the reviews, but after tasting this im not a fan... I consider this to be either medium or low quality sushi. I got a few rolls, including a spicy Hawaiian and bake lobster roll, and the taste and quality of the fish was sub par. Not worth the $60 i paid. The restaurant had a bad smell as soon as i came in too. I wouldn't reccomend read more

Ordered a Cali roll, spicy tuna, and hot night roll for pick up. The rolls were made sloppy, they fell apart. the spicy tuna had no flavor, it was mooshy & warm. I immediately had stomach cramps after eating it. I couldn't eat more than I slice of the spicy tuna. If I wasn't in a rush or hungry I would have gone back and asked for a refund. The sushi was not very presentable. It looked carelessly made. First time there, won't be going back. Waste of $30 :( read more

The food selection was very limited and mostly steamed, which didn't help with flavor or texture. That said, the omelette bar and the chilaquiles were solid -- definitely the highlight of the meal. Everything else was pretty underwhelming for a $40 price tag. They offer bottomless mimosas, but here's the kicker: it's only for women. Men have to pay an extra $15. That gender pricing didn't sit right with me. On the plus side, the service was great. The servers were friendly and attentive throughout. But overall, the place gives off more of a nightclub vibe than a brunch spot. Also -- pro tip -- the final amount you pay can vary depending on whether you use cash or card, so be mindful. Not worth the price in its current state, but it might have potential if they rework the food and atmosphere.

It was a lot of food for two but the average person that comes here probably appreciates the large portion size. The chicken was coated with sauce and had a spinach tortilla. It was so satiable. The servers were all prompt and seem to juggle many roles like bartending and bussing as well. They were quick to take our order and easy to waive down to ask for a side of pickles since they were always moving around even if they were a few. Two single stall bathrooms. One per gender: Place seems very clean and the bar looks well stocked and organized. Floor was a bit sticky near the bathrooms. I would come again.

One thing I'll note is that they implement a $10 cover charge after 8PM for UFC fights. We got our table at 4:45PM and we're not notified of this until about 7:30, which I wish they were more transparent about up front. All in all, solid place to come watch sporting events with decent food and drinks.

He was nice and checked on me and my friend the whole time we were there. It is a big space and plenty of seating. They had a good menu for lunch and dinner and good specials for happy hour. I tried out the blackened cod fish tacos which isn't on the happy hour menu but it was okay. Overall, it was good and would come back again.

Ambiance: This location was nice! A big space, rooms for tables, booths and sushi bar seating. Well lit and easy to navigate through the space. I came to eat alone, but perfect for solo dining, date spots, family nights and big gatherings. Also a big plus is that they don't blast their music so you can enjoy your meal in peace. Service: The staff were super nice and friendly. They sat me instantly, took my drink order and gave me sufficient time before asking about my order. I think I may have gotten a waitress in training, so when I asked about what certain foods contained, she didn't really have an answer for me. Which isn't a big deal as she went to go ask the sushi chef (30 second wait is a big deal for me). My drink was never empty, never ran out of napkins and my utensils and plates were spotless. Food: Food at the prices they are offered, you can't really complain! The fish tasted fresh, the sushi portions were perfect! Fish to rice proportions were spot on. Only thing I would have liked better were the cuts for the chirashi bowl. You get 2 cuts of squid, escolar, mackerel, yellowtail, tuna, salmon, albacore, imitation crab and tamago with 1 shrimp. I love how much fish you get in the chirashi, but would have loved smaller cuts. Instead of 2 FAT cuts, same amount but cut into three would have made the experience a bit better. All in all a solid place that I found in Corona. I'm not in Corona often, but I'm glad I found a solid sushi restaurant here to default to when I have the craving! This is our go to place for sushi! This place is legit; walking in, the vibe is super chill and friendly. Let's talk about the main event - the sushi. It's amazing! Every piece is fresh and tasty, and they've got some creative rolls that are out-of-this-world good. The Mango Tango roll is my absolute favorite roll. The service here is top-notch, too. The staff are all about making sure you have a great time. They're super helpful with suggestions if you can't decide what to get (because, let's be real, everything sounds delicious). We recently visited this restaurant and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The sushi was great. We also had some egg rolls , chicken Katsu and chicken teriyaki. Sushi Zen was permanently close by the city due to multiple health violations that we were quite frankly disgusting. Management of sushi zen is the same management of sushi R91 at the Corona location. Avoid this place like the plague because if you eat their food, you may die of the actual plague. read more

Wouldn't go back! The service is ok, but the food is not great. The people making the food were touching my food with their bare hands (which is fine it's sushi) and also touching cleaning products, other equipment, and the trash can without washing their hands. 1/10 read more

This place is run by some of the worst owners ever. They treat their employees like crap and keep their tips. If you do decide to eat there, make sure you hand the tip directly to your server because otherwise management will keep it. read more
