I don't know what it was but something was just off about this Sushi Sake, the service was good but for some reason the food wasn't up to par and I was very disappointed. I was craving a good fried rice and decided to come here but instead the rice was just so dry and actually tough to eat, and the chicken was so dull and flavorless. Fantastic place!!! The food's great, the service is pleasant, the place is nicely decorated and clean. The cotton candy at the end of your meal is a very nice touch!!!! My only compliant is that maybe they could do without the tv's and the loud music!!! The tv is the bathrooms are cool!!! But at times, it was too loud to have a conversation. The dining experience was not a pleasant one. When this was brought up to the manager instead of apologizing he was rude and aggressive. Not apologetic at all to the fact that the air conditioner was out of order and the service was less than acceptable. I will never dine here ever again. read more

I feel like the service I just receive at sushi sake in the hammocks don't even deserve a one star. I usually visit this location on a regular basis probably once a month since I am a sushi fan. I have dine in as well as take out. We know very well this place offers happy hour but due to work schedule we never got to go. Today my husband called since he got home earlier than usual and when placing the order he was told that the happy hour prices were only if you go and order in person, never mentioned you have to dine in. So I said let me then go in person since I was on my way home. I rushed and made it on time. When trying to place the order I was told a different thing that you have to dine in in order to get the happy hour prices. I mentioned to the waiter taking the order that this was the first time I was advised that since we have done it before without sitting down. I asked to speak with the manager Jordan who came out with a face like I know where are you going. His expressions were negative since the first moment and never showed any sympathy or try to offer a solution or make an exception that I know can be done. I know places have their own policy but their costumer services is the worst. Never coming back here. I don't mind paying the money but when is worth it and the service I just received here its not even worth a penny. read more

I really wish I can put zero stars. Let me explain. I ordered 1 fried rice for pick up and waited 1 hour and a half when was told 25 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes later and was advised 10 more minutes. The food took 30 more minutes and I had to be very persistent. While I was waiting another lady had ordered her food right there and had received it before me (note: she had a very large order). I asked to speak with a manager. They had no manager on the floor and had to call the manager to even do a refund. I work at a very upscale restaurant that cooks filet minions and prime steaks and no order ever takes over 1.5 hours to make no matter how packed. There were 2 other parties in the restaurant and I was given an excuse that the kitchen was busy. That was a lie to cover themselves. I will be calling the manager tomorrow if they are even in to express the terrible service. Restaurant business is about hospitality and this is the most ridiculous experience I have had in any restaurant. read more

I used to ALWAYS come to this location simply because it's right next to my house and my go to place whenever I want to eat something yummy. Lately, I rather drive the extra miles because the service has led up to the WORST of the WORST. I went on a Friday night, which is usually busy because it's FRIDAY (totally understandable). However, there were about 3 empty tables and our hostess basically sat us right by the door and every time someone walked in they'd bump into my friend's chair. For about 25 minutes, we sat there pointing out the waitresses just standing by the bathrooms instead of taking our order or at least serving us water. We just had to get up and leave because we were so hungry and fed up with the lack of attentiveness to customers. Overall, I'm disappointed with the result of the service and how it really draws a red flag for this place. read more

I am a regular take out customer at this location for some time now, for the past several orders THE SERVICE HAS BEEN BEYOND HORRIBLE and even the food has not been up to par, the rice has been hard every single time. Today what really took me a back was that my girls and I got there and the server young kid with a bun on his head asked if we needed menus, when these are normally given immediately at every restaurant and when we said yes he threw the menu at my daughter. No water, no service and RUDENESS we just walked out!! So sad for a customer that at least purchased food there 5-6 per month!!! So sad just lost a customer. On top of everything the food arrived cold and no chop sticks to eat the sushi, how do you expect people to eat sushi without chop stick. The value of the sushi is not that great but what keeps me coming back is the fact that they are open late. The majority of the time I order take out and the wait is usually longer than what they say it is. Once the manager was rude after I waited 40 minutes when they said the wait was 15 minutes. After expressing how frustrated I was, he responded with how difficult it is to be him waking up early and staying late. I just wanted to eat dinner before 11pm. Another time the waiters and waitresses were just counting their tips at the bar as I waited. As a restaurant chain it's not bad but one location I wouldn't recommend. read more

We walked in on a friday around 6 and not many people although by the time we left the place was packed. Location is not very big, although they seemed to fit a good amount of tables. they also have a bar area. Service was fast, waiter very friendly and helpful. We tried several appetizers including shrimp tempura:really good with side sauce, cheese maki:which is fried cheddar pastry, I personally didn't care for them, spring rolls with sweet and spicy sauce: comes with 3, very good. The firecracker appetizer with crab, 3 , comes served on a type of fried cracker, sweet and very tasty. We tried the California roll, cut in 10 pieces, nice for sharing and the lobster roll, that was kind of amazing, nice size plate for the price, Included avocado , lobster, asparagus and cucumbers topped with pink spicy mayo sauce. The menu is extensive and has other selections besides sushi, like teriyaki meats with rice, fried rice and others and a selection of drinks. We didn't have much room for desert but they gave us cotton candy with our check. The decor is very nice, Chic and modern with tv's all around showing videos of whatever music they are playing, entertaining while you wait for food. The presentation of the food itself is very nice and appetizing, almost too pretty to eat. Parking can be challenging as this is located in a strip mall between a gym and a supermarket, but its a private lot. It's a bit pricey but overall enjoyable experience. read more

I ordered delivery as i always do. I have never ever had a problem to be honest, some bad cuts of fish here and there but it happens. But today was something different. Today was not about the food, it was about being accused of not paying for my food. When James, the delivery man, showed up at my door, i asked for change but he didn't have sufficient change for a tip. He said to give him exact and so i did but in the mix up, I went ahead and asked him if we could please double check and we re did the whole thing again to assure the right change was given. After confirming the change was correct. I go back inside and he leaves, and i go to take a quick shower before eating, i come back to my phone to see two missed calls from a number i do not recognize and a text message from the driver stating that yet again there was a mix up and that I owe him $40. We double checked for a reason but i gave him the benefit of the doubt and checked the cash I had on me to ensure I didn't take back the $40 and sure enough I didn't. I went ahead and called the store directly and spoke with Albert the manager. He said that the driver would not do that, so on and so fourth and proceeded to say he couldn't tell me what to do but to talk to the driver and work it out. I asked him to speak to the driver since i saw that i gave the right amount of money and he said he would. I started writing this review about 5 minutes ago and just now the manager Albert calls me back stating now that the person delivering the food was his cousin and that he was alsofhappens to be the owner of the sushi sake location.... that i should now want to talk to him. I politely said no, and wished him a good night and they said to enjoy my meal. Not only have lost my appetite but now i feel insulted overall. In the end, they expected me to dish out another $40 for food I had already paid for. After this do you think I would feel comfortable ordering delivery from them? No thank you. I love sushi sake, but i will be visiting other locations from now on and in person. Really disappointed. read more

I love sushi sake my experience with them was amazing until now I went to dine inside and from the start it was a weird award vibe. I was the only person eating in and they took over 1 hour to serve me. When I finally got my food my waiter started to spray fabreeze all over the tables and the smell ruined my appetite. Server was kind but not really efficient at his job. My girlfriend had a roll 30-40 minutes before I got my Hibachi Steak. Kitchen was supposedly backed up. Managers seem to be having a lot of fun interacting with tables, dancing around, when they should've been making sure foods came out on time. Table next to me apparently was having the same issue with the "backed up" kitchen. They brought out a ridiculous amount of rice, which I didn't mind. At least they bring their tables cotton candy with the check as a way of saying "sorry the service was terrible but here's something hip to make up for it".
