Since my brother mentioned to me he wanted to try this sushi place we decided to go for lunch after he finished work. The sign said opens at 11:00 but when he called to make sure on the time they're open at 10:45. So we started ordering. I ordered cold tofu, 3 pieces of ahi nigiri and 3 pieces of ikura nigiri. My brother ordered chicken donburi and tempura cream cheese, imitation crab roll. My husband had fried oysters, shrimp tempura 2 pieces in a order, scallops crab avocado cucumber roll. The server ask if we wanted miso soup we said yes and offer us green hot tea too. All in all the sushi was good small nigiri sushi rice and good piece of fish on top it. My brother donburi he was a little disappointed because he said didn't taste like Japanese style of cooking it was tasting like more Korean taste. My brother-in-law Craig T suggested this restaurant to have lunch. They were open when we arrived. Posted sign said 11am. We were there at a quarter to eleven. I especially liked the fried oysters. Crisp and flavorful. Also ordered the S M.T. roll (scallops, Imatation crab avocado, and tobiko). My only gripe with this sushi roll is that the nori was tough. This place is absolutely amazing!!! High quality sushi, so many options, and super kind staff. The fish was so fresh, the stuffed mushroom was perfectly crispy, and the rolls were really creative. Also free miso soup and all the sushi toppings like wasabi and ginger! We came on a random Tuesday (they close Monday's) and luckily there was no wait. The food came out super quickly too! Old Asian folk really just love my little Mister. It's like they seem to know he's a picky eater so if he's eating their food, they're doing something right It was our first time here and we have to go back because my little guy promised the Sir we would come back next time for the vanilla ice cream he didn't have room for after dinner! Our favorite sushi spot was no longer taking pre-orders for take-out for Christmas (my fault for waiting till 2 days before), so we needed to find a last minute replacement. I always wanted to try Sushi Spot and I'm glad I did. We ordered a huge spread for the family of 13 rolls and an order of Ama Ebi Nigiri. The rolls (that I remember) included 2 Hamachi Machi, Ahi & Ahi, Salmon & Salmon, 007, Super California, Titanic, Philadelphia, Rainbow Roll #1, Caterpillar, and Calvin's Roll. Overall the rolls were great. As we know, rolls are different than nigiri, and have a lot more rice, and not as great cuts of fish. But I still throughly enjoyed these and loved the creativity and different tastes. In addition to the food, the staff here are top notch. Everything was just okay. The lady was friendly but only checked on us once throughout our meal, while the guy never came by once even though we could see and hear him going to the other tables. The food was okay, it wasn't bad but at the same time not awesome, right in the middle. Originally I got the sushi combo deluxe and was going to order the amaebi and rolls after I finished the combo but decided not to after seeing the service and food quality. This place is located in Aiea shopping center. Very small place. About 4-5 tables. Lots of sushi rolls to choose from. Service was very nice, fast and friendly. They were able to accommodate last minute reservations. The only downfall is BYOB. So remember to bring your sake or soju to the restaurant before you come in. read more

Met the husband here for lunch. Was a little sus because of the location... has no idea if there would be good sushi in this concrete jungle.... But quickly I was shown this place is leeeegit. This place is a truly a hidden gem! My boyfriend introduced me to this spot and we've eaten here multiple times. As soon as you walk in, they are very welcoming and friendly. There was one time that we came as they were closing. She was so kind and apologized, explaining why they were closing a bit early. Then, she went back in to hand us two water bottles. How sweet is that! We were still craving their food so we came back the very next day. It's a cozy sushi restaurant that has a wide variety of menu items. Although they have a ton of great sushi rolls, I always get their chicken katsu plate. It is super crispy and flavorful. Their katsu sauce is really good as well. I have been coming to this spot for the last few years after just trying it on a whim. By far the best sushi rolls I have had in the island, my go to is usually the salmon and salmon, the Alaskan roll, and the Philadelphia roll. All three have salmon inside and it always tastes fresh and flavorful. The customer service is always on point as well, they really do take care of their regulars and are just as friendly to brand new customers. The whole staff always welcomes my girlfriend and I with big smiles and friendly greetings. Some days the wait to sit down might take long but it definitely is worth it, there is plenty of parking around as well so that isn't something to worry about. We usually eat sushi after we land at Mitch's fish market. However, they were not open until 1130 and we landed at 10. Found this place, and glad we did! Good food, very reasonable pricing. Service was so friendly. My kids wanted more cherry tomatoes, they brought a whole bowl of it for the kids. They also kept asking if we wanted refills of the complementary miso soup. Super generous portions of complementary as well as fish. Can't wait to come back. The only downside is even though the parking lot is big, it was packed at 10:30 AM on a Friday morning. Fresh sashimi and nice people! Me and my wife had a day off with no kids and decided to go to Sushi Spot in Aiea. I ordered the Chirashi and my wife ordered the salmon lovers. The salmon tasted crisp and clean. Each piece of sashimi on the Chirashi set tasted fresh and delicious. The scallops were sweet and melt in your mouth. Brought a group of friends here and they were pleasantly surprised too. Weekdays at lunchtime there usually isn't a wait. Dinner times get busy. Anytime in the weekend will likely be busy as well. Staff are so nice. Every time we've gone, they're so patient, sweet, and accommodating. They work hard and check in with customers. I think it may be family run. All of the tuna on the deluxe plate was otoro, not your normal maguro, all of the pieces of fish were thick cuts and exceptionally smooth. They were all great, but I might ask them to cut the cream cheese in the crab tempura roll by half. It was also way too much food for two people, so I would just get two rolls next time. My friends recommended it so I took my wife here to try. Parking is shared with a bunch of other establishments in the complex. Restaurant is nicely spaced out although there aren't much tables. Still spacious nonetheless. We bought several roles here and some fried oysters as appetizers. Wife had the California and my sister had a ahi roll. I was the only one who had Salmon, which was on the dragonfly roll and I was the only one that got food poisoning. Could've been the salmon or Ebi or Unagi but my roll was different. All I could taste when I was throwing up was the salmon. Both my wife and sister was fine. Bad batch may be. Would I give this place another try...maybe...but maybe I'll stick to the cooked stuff. read more
