Food: Good, not particularly spectacular. In particular, the Blossom Roll is basically a mouth full of umami. You'll probably find the ocean in a bite. The Mango(?) Roll was actually surprisingly amazing. I had never had fruit in a roll, so I would try that one if you get the chance. Ambiance: I came around lunch time on a Wednesday. There wasn't many people there, so can't say much for the ambiance, it was quiet for the most part--which I enjoy. Service: standard waiting, but the wait time for the meal was surprisingly small. We're big Japanese foodies and always ready to try old and new places. The restaurant itself was clean and the female server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Salmon, Shrimp, and Scallop hibachi. Hubby ordered the Steak and Shrimp hibachi. And we couldn't go without ordering sushi. So we got (I think one of their poplar items) Sushi Star. Both hibachi dishes were flavorful. I didn't find mine to be too salty. The seafood was fresh. Even hubby thought the scallop was fresh. However, it would have been nice to have bigger shrimp. His steak dish was good, as well. He did say there were some pieces that had gristle. The Sushi Star was okay. The fish was fresh, which is important. The flavor was good. Hubby actually liked. Nonetheless, the sushi rolls were delicious; light & delicate yet flavorful and fresh. My fave roll would have to be the Fiesta Roll. The jalapeño bombs were tasty as well, (spicy)! This is mine and my family's favorite local sushi restaurant! The service and staff is so so kind and always attentive. The food is excellent. Their salmon (Sake) is always so fresh and delicious. Even when we have ordered our food to go, the packaging is excellent and the food is so delicious and fresh. The staff (May, the owner, especially) is always so welcoming and especially sweet to our daughters, often offering some sort of treat and even adorable kids chopsticks. And my youngest, who didn't yet keen on sushi, loves the other food options, especially the Chicken and noodles dish. We also got the OMG and I can't remember the names of the other roll I got, but they were all 3 perfect! The lemon was so thinly sliced. The other day I had been at another sushi restaurant and their lemon was so thick and unappetizing, but this one was perfect! There was one guy making sushi, and one server and they were absolutely crushing the service, despite it being very busy on a Sunday night. It was a full house! Our server was super nice and very fast. They were both working super hard. I think there was someone in the back too, so very much appreciation to the back of house staff as well!
