Great food and service. Las Vegas roll is our favorite but fresh sushi has always been just as good over the years. Highly recommended.

SBL and I tried Sushi Style. We've been looking for a good sushi place since we moved and KABLOW! We found a winner. We both ordered a bento box, but he ordered the teriyaki chicken, cucumber salad and the tootsie roll sushi. I ordered the salmon, the gyoza and the California roll. We were glad we called the order in because it was so busy when we went to pick it up. When SBL came out with two full bags of food he said it's not really a bento box it's more like styrofoam boxes. Got home and unloaded the goods. We found there was a side salad and dressing along with a container of soup in addition to our order. The salad had a peanuty sauce which I didn't really care for. The soup was excellent mostly broth with some shrapnel of tofu floating in it. I opened the gyoza container and mhan those were delicious and had a dipping sauce that was like a lemony soy sauce situation, it was fabulous. I opened the main dish container and it was kinda under whelming, but it was all super tasty. It wasn't as grand as I expected, but I enjoyed the salmon, rice and the orange that came with it. The California roll was excellent. The sushi that comes with the bento is mini sushi about the size of your thumb. It's cute and you feel like you should name every slice because that's what you do with teeny tiny things. I decided to name my sushi after the golden girls, it was that kind of night. SBL wasn't too thrilled with his cucumber salad actually his words were this is the worst salad ever. When I cracked that container open I was so glad I didn't order that yeesh! In conclusion we are excited to order the life sized sushi and taste that goodness on a more personal level. Was that weird? Well, you know what I mean. We were trying to find a place that was open, the Yelp hours say it's open until 9pm on Sunday. We showed up and were told at 7:30 that they just did last call. & that "owners been trying to change" the Yelp hours. If they're aware of hours being wrong on here why not change it. Refused to serve us even if we ordered right away. Rude to turn away clients and having no understanding. read more

My wife and I visited on May 10, 2023 for the second consecutive day because the food and service was really good on the first visit. On the second visit, the food was good but the service was terrible from what appeared to be the manager/waiter. The manager kept slamming our drinks on the table including our refills. We wanted to keep the menu for additional orders and he said customers always spill food on menus and he is tired of cleaning them. We did keep the menu but everything time he visited he wanted to take the menu. As luck would have it when he returned to fill my wife's tea, he spill tea on the menu himself. The manager was so rude we overheard another couple in the booth next to us also complain about his attitude. Regardless about the food quality which was good, we will NOT be returning here because of the manager. Not the best in town, but we will definitely be going often to the happy hour as it is very close. The salmon was delicious melted on my tongue. The Philly roll was probably one of the best I've had at any of these west side sushi places, even better than Yen. Yen has asparagus in it which makes it weird. They have cucumber AND avocado. Sushi Style has awesome customer service and the vibe is always on point it's like the classic sushi bar with a twist they also have ramen and lunch specials that are so amazing, basically you get a lot of bang for ya buck here. The sushi quality is actually pretty good the fish is always fresh and the host that's greeted us was such a sweet heart I didn't get to catch her name but she was so efficient and took care of me and the other two people that where in line. Definitely found our new sushi spot. Drove 40 minutes here from a recommendation from a friend and it was worth the drive. For an appetizer we started with the calamari which was amazing. Perfectly crispy and served with a spicy and a sweet sauce. Both sauces were soooo delicious. We ordered the tuna and yellowtail shashimi which I was told it was the best shashimi they have tasted and was so fresh and didn't taste fishy. (I don't eat that but my table did) We also ordered the crunchy roll that was on the happy hour menu which was really good. Last we ordered the Climax Roll (my favorite), Guilty Pleasure, and the Baked Lobster Roll. The guilty pleasure has Hawaiian white tuna on top which I wasn't a huge fan of but the roll was still pretty good and my table loved it. The baked lobster roll was amazing and had a ton of lobster on top. The service was just okay, but the sushi made up for it. It wasn't busy at all for a Saturday night and we had to keep asking our server for more water but he was still nice, just could have been more attentive. The manager?.. he yelled across the floor "grab the soy sauce off the tables so we can get the heck out of here" this was 30 minutes before closing. that shouldn't be yelled across the floor.. customers pay to be there.. they were sweeping and cleaning around us they forgot my miso soup and when I brought it up they brought me one but it was cold.. not warm or room temperature.. cold. Waitress kind of an airhead. Asked me if I wanted a to go box while I was eating.? Not a deal breaker though. Then, after my meal, she asked me if I just wanted to run my card or look at my bill.?? I said, I would like to look at my bill first. She comes back with my tab AFTER she ran my card.. There were items on the bill I didn't order. To rectify everything, I'd have to run my card a second time and wait 3 to 5 days to get reimbursed. What? Pay $70 tonight for a $30 dinner and the luxury of waiting 3 to 5 days. I ordered the sushi lunch special. The nigiri was fresh and delicious; however, the spicy tuna roll was super fishy. I ate a couple pieces and left the rest. It was as if they chopped up all the old tuna and tried to cover up bad fish with spicy Mayo. By the time I finished my meal and got home, my stomach was rumbling. Not sure if there was a difference because it was takeout but I was excited to treat myself. At almost 10$ per roll for three rolls I had high expectations. Everything was mealy and mushy and tasted the same. All the tempura and crab was wet and had lost its crunch. The rice was over cooked and mealy and the avocado was over ripe, squishy and soft. I made sure I arrived in time to get it fresh so it wasn't sitting and I waited probably ten minutes and drove straight home (across the street) so it wasn't a situation where it had been sitting a long time. I was very disappointed. Also the rolls are quite small. Very overpriced for what you're getting. I have no idea who these people are giving this place such high ratings and claiming to be sushi snobs but maybe consider going to someplace near the ocean and having quality sushi. I've had better sushi from the grocery store which is pretty sad. read more

I had lunch with my grandmother. We were seated right away since it was pretty empty. The service was alright, but the waitress gave us everything we needed. Some of the plates and silverware looked dirty though, but that's why I use my own silverware at restaurants. Before ordering, my grandmother and I started off with green tea. When it arrived, it came is one cup instead of a tea pot, and the green tea was too strong; like it had been brewed too long. It wasn't the best green tea I've had, but it was fine. Then, we ordered two bento boxes, both with cucumber salads and California rolls. One bento box has teriyaki chicken and the other had teriyaki tofu. The California rolls were a little too creamy with cream cheese, but good. The cucumber salads were too sweet and I wished it was more savory. Regarding the tofu bento box, I wished the tofu was crispy with a crust instead of smooth. Additionally, the teriyaki sauce was majorly sweet and over-flooded the tofu. The chicken bento box was good and the chicken grilled nicely. The miso soups and house salads that come before the bento boxes were delicious with major flavor. I have had better California rolls and tofu, but it was good to try something new. read more

Got sat waited 15 mins before taking our drink and good order asked my sugar packets didn't get them until our first plate of sushi came and then was told that there was no more miso soup after the fact are order came out and forgot one dish after everything came out so if you're looking for good service do don't go here!!! read more

I found Sushi Style to be just okay. I found the service to be lacking and the food a big "meh." I went by myself on a Saturday night. The waiter was curt. Seemed like he would've rather been doing literally anything else. It felt like everything took forever, and it wasn't that busy. Plus, he kept shouting at me from across the patio - like "YOU SURVIVING OVER THERE????" which prompted everyone to turn and stare at me. The food was okay. Kind of tasted like the sushi you'd get after a night of drinking in college. The rice was a little bit hard in some places, like it might've been sitting around for awhile. The food is amazing, some of the best, freshest sushi... one thing that needs to improve is the service. It's not that they have low staffing it's that the waiters aren't organized.
