Sushi salmon & spicy tuna roll
    Norma S.

Came here on a Friday around 11:30 right when it opened fairly busy. Fountain drinks. To order is like cafeteria style. You order up front counter wait for your number then get a tray and grab your own sauces and napkins. Once done throw food and leave tray next to garbage. Ordered the salmon pieces it was good size taste was okay. The spicy tuna it wasn't spicy and a bit fishy taste. The miso soup was good. The sushi was at room temp not cold as I've had in other sushi spots. And since they grill also inside it gets warm. All in all it was an interesting way to eat and for taste to price it was okay. Wish they had waiters it felt more like a to go place.

Fast, casual restaurant serving delicious sushi and Japanese food. The restaurant is a good place for a quick fix for your sushi cravings. The prices with not break your budget. Love the combo items, freshly made and taste home style. My faves are the teriyaki salmon and the sesame chicken. The combo comes with a miso soup and a salad. The staff are wonderful. They greet you when you walk in with a smile and thank you when you leave. The food comes promptly and give you everything you need. Clean dining area, tables too close to each other so it's a bit claustrophobic when it's busy.

Fixed my sushi craving in a pinch! The workers were very kind and honestly on a Saturday around lunch time it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be! However, I can see why people would say order ahead. The Aloha roll was pretty good, the gyoza was probably my favorite part though! They have that nailed. Their chicken was alittle dry and their ginger looked alittle less fresh. But I would come back for the kind service, I bet some food is just hit or miss depending on the time of day! Plenty of parking!

This place is getting better! Tempura is so good here. I found my new favorite dish today. An Eel bowl. So delicious! I highly recommend it. Service is always good and fast! There's plenty of tables . At least every time I come.

Love the 3 item combo. Quick service. Good prices Gyoza yummy. So is salmon. Drinks are cheap too

Great neighborhood sushi & cooked Japanese food place. My dad, who was a sushi aficionado, said their sushi was fresh & well sliced. I always get the salmon teriyaki & it's consistently well grilled & tasty. I like their california rolls as it's not the whole piece of fake crab meat surrounded by bunch of rice. Here, they dice the crab & mix with mayo to give it a nice flavor. The tempura was crunchy & well fried. My hubby likes their chicken teriyaki as well as the sesame chicken (fried). He also liked their curry - milder version of the Indian curry. We always enjoy coming here.

I pass this place frequently and decided to give it a try. I went in and placed a to go order for a Salmon Bento Box. Inside it was not that busy but I could tell that they had a lot of delivery orders. I waited 22 minutes for my order. I brought it home and At a glance was not overly impressed with presentation. I tasted the salmon and it lacked flavor even though it was smothered with teriyaki sauce. The miso soup was ok. Inside had seating and a sushi bar if dining alone. Beverages are canned with exception of hot green tea. Traditional Japanese snacks at register. Ample parking in the lot outside. Will I return, probably not anytime in the near future.

2 Item Combo Plates with beef and shrimp tempura

The best spot for a quick casual Japanese fix! I got the two item combo with beef and shrimp tempura and it reminded me of a home cooked meal made with love. The beef was so tender and the tempura was very crispy. And idk what it is about Japanese rice but it's so good! The combo also comes with miso soup and a salad which I didn't mind eating. More food for me! The people at the register and behind the counter were very kind and greet you coming in and out. The food came out promptly, and everything that you need is provided to you. If you're around the area, stop by and grab a bite! They have sushi too which isn't too bad.

Sorry for the dirty receipt but I won't tip. Specially if I have to go to the counter (order&pick up) my own food.
    Janet S.

It's a nice little warm place. And when I mean warm it is warm inside this place. They should turn on the AC. But the food is good. And the portions are great. I really like this place. But my complaint is if Mc Donald's doesn't ask for tip why should you? And the reason I say that is I order at the counter, pick up my own food at the counter and then I have to BUS my own plates. They shouldn't have to ask for tips. Specially when the cashier gives you a look like "no tip". At the end if I am in that direction and u want sushi Yes I will stop by and get something. But I won't go out of my way to go buy sushi there.

    Sesame Chicken Plate = Yesterday's re-fried food /not fresh.
    Ryan U.

Had a hankering for the sesame chicken. So, I ordered the three item combo (sesame chicken, California roll, tempura). 1130am, and they must've used the chicken from yesterday and threw it back in the deep fryer because my jaw is sore! It's SO chewy it's unenjoyable. waste of a meal.

    Combo 7

I arrived today at 3p.m. and was warmly greeted by the cashier. I ordered Combo 7, which included salad, rice, three pieces of sushi, chicken teriyaki, gyoza, and miso soup. A gentleman--whom I believe was the owner--took a moment to thank me for coming in, which I found truly appreciated.

A great quick spot to satisfy your sushi cravings! The combo was the perfect amount of food. They also offer lots of cooked Japanese food dishes too.

The menu had such a wide variety of Japanese cuisine, from sushi, to katsu, to donburi, there's something for everyone! Loved the modern clean vibes of the interior. They start you off with complimentary miso soup, which was full and rich (a bit salty for my liking but that's just me). We also ordered a plate of nigiri as our appetizer, and the fish quality was really fresh. I ordered the chicken katsu plate for myself, and my was it delicious. I've never tasted katsu so light even though it's typically fried, and love the sauce they paired the katsu with. It was almost like a mustard? But it wasn't too overpowering or anything. We finished the night with the tempura ice cream, and let me tell you, this is a MUST. I honestly just expected them to throw some panko on top of a scoop of ice cream, but Te-Buru's take is (somehow) baking a tempura crust right onto a giant scoop of ice cream and then cutting up the scoop into wedges. The ice cream surprisingly did not melt all that quickly either, and the matcha flavor was on point. Our servers were quick to meet our requests, nothing super outstanding but made the meal pretty seamless. Prices I think were pretty standard except for their sushi. Those are bit on the steeper side, but again, their fish quality is really good. For parking, they do have a small lot, but there's also street parking and parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. You'd be delulu not to try Te-Buru!

My boyfriend's brother did the ordering since he's been here a lot. He ordered: Peruvian Cebiche: which was the catch of the day, tiger milk, ahi Amarillo, concha, and sweet potato. It was so delicious! I believe the catch of the day was either scallop or white fish which was in the tiger milk and ahi Amarillo sauce which was a sour like sauce which pairs well with the fish. It was also a great dipping sauce for the other sushi we got. If I could, I would have slurped the whole thing (the sauce) lol. Blue Fin Sashimi: with kizami wasabi and special soy sauce. If you have tried blue fin you are missing out. The sashimi just melts in your mouth and has such an easy chew to it. Sushi Nikkei Tasting (8 pc sushi): consists of 2 pcs of sweet salmon (parrillera sauce), tuna power (parrillera sauce, aji Amarillo, and chalaquita), Parmesan scallops, and Asian shiromi (white fish, Asian sauce, quinoa pop, and lemon). My boyfriend and I had 1 pc each. The salmon and Parmesan scallops were my favorite. My boyfriend's favorite was the Asian shiromi and tuna power. All the toppings complimented each other so well. Who knew?! Acebichado: which was a specialty roll with crispy shrimp, avocado topped with tuna, acebicado sauce, togarashi, and green onion Dusty roll: which was another specialty roll with crispy shrimp, avocado topped with octopus in ninja sauce, Parmesan, and tare OBA roll: which was another specialty roll that had crispy salmon, avocado topped with salmon , parrillera, jalapeno sauce, and chalaquita All the rolls were good and the different sauces complimented each other and the fish. We got there when it was lunch time so it wasn't too busy or too loud. The service was great as the servers always checked up on us. Sounded like an interesting twist. Both kinds of food are respectfully delicious in their own ways. For starters, we shared most of the appetizers, so we did the hamachi tostada. Super fresh and a nice flavorful bite. We also shared the jalapeño yellowtail and octopus fire. Both were really good but just a bit too much sauce. That's the only thing that separated the finish, aside from that, the fish was fresh. For sushi we did, salmon belly, blue fin tuna, and yellow tail belly. Def enjoyed these three pieces. Wife and I ordered blue crab hand roll, delicious. We were still hungry and ordered a couple of rolls. Nothing too spectacular, again a bit too much sauce in my opinion. Service was kinda slow here, ordered our foods, dropped off our foods, didn't really come back to check in. No refill on waters or drinks. Other than that, solid place. Would I come back? Maybe!

While HiroNori is a SoCal chain, it still feels like a mom and pop restaurant. The crispy rice with tuna was EXCELLENT! Everything you want from crispy rice and spicy tuna. The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. Always good, I thought I had reviewed it already but apparently never did. Have been here many…read moretimes if you get seated before 6pm you are set for happy hour which gets you some deals. The service is always on point, quick with your orders and drinks. Friendly and fast so usually the wait for a table or seat at the sushi bar is quick even with a line up. They have interesting rolls that you don't see everywhere else some Thai mash ups in there. The vibe there is always fun and friendly. Smaller space and makes it cozy and inviting.

The name says it all: I Luv Sushi and I really, really do. Sushi spots nowadays can be difficult…read morebecause there's one on every block it feels like. And eating sushi spots through Yelp is even more difficult because imo what people think is good sushi is subjective lol. I am pretty darn picky, I want the fish fresh period, and the size of the bites correct. This experience was for my bday and I had 3 teenagers with me so we opted for rolls because this isn't AYCE and I didn't feel like dropping $500 on nigiri! Rolls are a bit more cost effective especially when my son and I are eating. The rolls we got: PS Roll, Candy Cane, Caterpillar, Tsunami, Lynn (didn't try this one: as tempura and cream cheese just isn't really my thing), Incredible Roll, Cali roll (this was for my daughter, who isn't into sushi. She got this and ramen-forgot to snap a pic). Everything was delicious! Wait staff is extremely friendly, helpful and very efficient! This place is usually poppin, and most of the times I did have to wait for a table (but this is a GOOD sign in a sushi spot!) Empty restaurants scare me a bit, but especially a sushi spot! On other occasions, I have had there nigiri, sashimi plates... and I have never been disappointed! Def a go to spot if you're in the area!
