Been here a few time because the friendly service from the owner and fast. Food always delicious and big portion. Price is just right for this inflation time. Other sushi nearby are fancy with small selection.

How the sushi is represented on Uber Eats

I'm reviewing as a Sushi Loco customer using Uber Eats. Checking this page, the sushi looks regular-sized and great! Unfortunately, I didn't experience this restaurant as a dine-in or pickup- I used Uber Eats. The portion size is vastly different than what is shown in the photos (attached). The sushi was barely bigger than a stamp. Not sure if they just skimp on those ordering through third-party delivery apps.

Prompt customer service right when I walked through the door and let me know the eta 3 mins till the order is ready so I took a seat and it's clean in here. There's parking right in front and one other guy is in here waiting for their food too. Food is probably good if I'm guessing. I'll be back.

I happened upon this place last week bc I pulled over in their parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised at what a quaint place tucked into the corner. Dine in was not too busy but takeout def was. I'm assuming she was the owner but she was very polite and service was good. The food was great, came out in a timely manner and the prices were fair. They also have a nice variety but not too overwhelming. I'm so glad I tried this place and would recommend. If you're ever in North LB, eat local

Obsessed with Sushi Loco. Ms. Lee and her husband run this sushi spot like a well oiled machine. She is kind, caring, soft spoken n honest. She always greets you with a smile that just changes your mood and makes you have a better day. They have a great selection on their menu for anyone even vegetarians n vegan options. And I am sure if you ask her to tweak the menu a little per your request (ie: allergies or dislikes) she will try her best to accommodate you. The place is always super clean and they always get my orders right. Ok What we ordered: +Calamari : 5/5 crispy tempura batter outside, and bouncy, meaty inside. +Shrimp Tempura Udon: 5/5 crispy shrimp tempura (on the side so it doesn't get soggy) fish cakes with a super flavorful broth with super bouncy textured udon noodles perfectly cooked. And a couple of dashes of Togarashi (Japanese 7 ingredients that makes up shichimi spicy.) It's the most perfect start to a rainy, cold day. +Hamachi Kama: 5/5 my most favorite thing that I always order. Fresh and full of umami flavorand always perfectly cooked with a squeeze of fresh lemon and dip it in ponzu sauce. You can't go wrong. +Ramen: 5/5 I didn't try this but my little sister loved it and actually thought about ordering a second bowl. +Tuna Nachos: 5/5 spicy tuna, green onions on top of a cripsy tortilla. So refreshing. +Tako/Octopus sashimi: 5/5 super fresh and a bouncy chew. Another one of my faves. +Spicy Crab Salmon Roll: 5/5 Who doesn't like spicy crab? +Salmon Hand Roll: 5/5 fresh thick cut salmon n I don't have to share a hand roll. +Bulgogi Rice Bowl: 5/5 a good amount of bulgogi that is packed full of umami goodness. +Sashimi Combo: 5/5 tuna, albacore, salmon and yellowtail. Thick cuts of super fresh n melt in your mouth pieces. +Veggie Egg Roll: 5/5 super crispy outside with a delectable filling. Everytime I've order from here or dined-in, I've always had a great experience. The prices are amazing and the place is always clean. Food is always fresh, top notch and the owners Ms. Lee and her husband are always really nice. Definitely recommending this place to anyone who wants great sushi for an awesome price with great customer service.

The menu had such a wide variety of Japanese cuisine, from sushi, to katsu, to donburi, there's something for everyone! Loved the modern clean vibes of the interior. They start you off with complimentary miso soup, which was full and rich (a bit salty for my liking but that's just me). We also ordered a plate of nigiri as our appetizer, and the fish quality was really fresh. I ordered the chicken katsu plate for myself, and my was it delicious. I've never tasted katsu so light even though it's typically fried, and love the sauce they paired the katsu with. It was almost like a mustard? But it wasn't too overpowering or anything. We finished the night with the tempura ice cream, and let me tell you, this is a MUST. I honestly just expected them to throw some panko on top of a scoop of ice cream, but Te-Buru's take is (somehow) baking a tempura crust right onto a giant scoop of ice cream and then cutting up the scoop into wedges. The ice cream surprisingly did not melt all that quickly either, and the matcha flavor was on point. Our servers were quick to meet our requests, nothing super outstanding but made the meal pretty seamless. Prices I think were pretty standard except for their sushi. Those are bit on the steeper side, but again, their fish quality is really good. For parking, they do have a small lot, but there's also street parking and parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. You'd be delulu not to try Te-Buru!

My boyfriend's brother did the ordering since he's been here a lot. He ordered: Peruvian Cebiche: which was the catch of the day, tiger milk, ahi Amarillo, concha, and sweet potato. It was so delicious! I believe the catch of the day was either scallop or white fish which was in the tiger milk and ahi Amarillo sauce which was a sour like sauce which pairs well with the fish. It was also a great dipping sauce for the other sushi we got. If I could, I would have slurped the whole thing (the sauce) lol. Blue Fin Sashimi: with kizami wasabi and special soy sauce. If you have tried blue fin you are missing out. The sashimi just melts in your mouth and has such an easy chew to it. Sushi Nikkei Tasting (8 pc sushi): consists of 2 pcs of sweet salmon (parrillera sauce), tuna power (parrillera sauce, aji Amarillo, and chalaquita), Parmesan scallops, and Asian shiromi (white fish, Asian sauce, quinoa pop, and lemon). My boyfriend and I had 1 pc each. The salmon and Parmesan scallops were my favorite. My boyfriend's favorite was the Asian shiromi and tuna power. All the toppings complimented each other so well. Who knew?! Acebichado: which was a specialty roll with crispy shrimp, avocado topped with tuna, acebicado sauce, togarashi, and green onion Dusty roll: which was another specialty roll with crispy shrimp, avocado topped with octopus in ninja sauce, Parmesan, and tare OBA roll: which was another specialty roll that had crispy salmon, avocado topped with salmon , parrillera, jalapeno sauce, and chalaquita All the rolls were good and the different sauces complimented each other and the fish. Sounded like an interesting twist. Both kinds of food are respectfully delicious in their own ways. For starters, we shared most of the appetizers, so we did the hamachi tostada. Super fresh and a nice flavorful bite. We also shared the jalapeño yellowtail and octopus fire. Both were really good but just a bit too much sauce. That's the only thing that separated the finish, aside from that, the fish was fresh. For sushi we did, salmon belly, blue fin tuna, and yellow tail belly. Def enjoyed these three pieces. Wife and I ordered blue crab hand roll, delicious. We were still hungry and ordered a couple of rolls. Nothing too spectacular, again a bit too much sauce in my opinion. Service was kinda slow here, ordered our foods, dropped off our foods, didn't really come back to check in. No refill on waters or drinks. Other than that, solid place. Would I come back? Maybe!

The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. It seems that they are combining the best of a lot of popular restaurants (like hand rolls, brick toast, $49 AYCE with mimosas on weekends, cucumber salad, miso cod, etc). I was also pleasantly surprised that it was in the LBX Hangar, which makes it a great place to go while hanging out with friends. The ambiance is more upscale, with high ceilings and an open kitchen concept. Could see it being a nice place for business meals. Got the summer roll which was surprisingly good! Fish was fresh and the mango was soft and sweet! The dragonfruit lemonade was extremely sweet, and that's coming from a big sweet tooth. Wanted to try more things but I was already spending around $30 on a roll + a drink for lunch and didn't feel like forking over $50 for lunch. Unfortunately, the slow service put a damper on my experience. I went at the tail end of lunch on a random Tues and there were only about 3 or 4 tables at that time. I waited at my table for 20mins before my waiter came around, which made me feel some kind of way when, later, 2 other parties were seated and acknowledged within 5 mins. It took another 20mins for 1 roll to come out (the other 2 tables behind me literally just got the menu and the remaining tables were in the middle of paying/leaving so I was the only one who was waiting on food). If service is this slow during a weekday at the end of lunch time, then I can only imagine how slow it will be during rush hour or weekends, not to mention during their AYCE rush hour. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge. As I said, I came at the end of lunch so although the spots were full, many patrons were returning to their car and it was less than a 1min wait for a spot. However, the spots are a little small compared to the large SUVs and vans parked there. So if coming at a popular time, be prepared to park far or feel like you're able to scrape the SUVs parked next to you. TLDR: Would try again for happy hour or maybe if entertaining any out of town guests.

A really nice young woman who rang me up and handed me my bag of goods. When I got home, I was pleased to see that they had separated the Katsu from the curry sauce, so my meat didn't end up being soggy. Their curry sauce is different from most curry houses. There are some herbs in it that I can't put my finger on, but I love it because it's not like any of the others. Chicken was juicy and rice was fluffy. I also like their kizami ginger which had a nice solid crunch. Even though it took me a while to pick up my food, it was still nice and warm when I sat down to eat it. Very happy with the presentation and the flavour. We'll try to visit and eat at the restaurant next time. Parking lot is small and can get a little crowded with all the other businesses open. Always good, I thought I had reviewed it already but apparently never did. Have been here many…read moretimes if you get seated before 6pm you are set for happy hour which gets you some deals. The service is always on point, quick with your orders and drinks. Friendly and fast so usually the wait for a table or seat at the sushi bar is quick even with a line up. They have interesting rolls that you don't see everywhere else some Thai mash ups in there. The vibe there is always fun and friendly. Smaller space and makes it cozy and inviting.

The name says it all: I Luv Sushi and I really, really do. Sushi spots nowadays can be difficult…read morebecause there's one on every block it feels like. And eating sushi spots through Yelp is even more difficult because imo what people think is good sushi is subjective lol. I am pretty darn picky, I want the fish fresh period, and the size of the bites correct. This experience was for my bday and I had 3 teenagers with me so we opted for rolls because this isn't AYCE and I didn't feel like dropping $500 on nigiri! Rolls are a bit more cost effective especially when my son and I are eating. The rolls we got: PS Roll, Candy Cane, Caterpillar, Tsunami, Lynn (didn't try this one: as tempura and cream cheese just isn't really my thing), Incredible Roll, Cali roll (this was for my daughter, who isn't into sushi. She got this and ramen-forgot to snap a pic). Everything was delicious! Wait staff is extremely friendly, helpful and very efficient! This place is usually poppin, and most of the times I did have to wait for a table (but this is a GOOD sign in a sushi spot!) Empty restaurants scare me a bit, but especially a sushi spot! On other occasions, I have had there nigiri, sashimi plates... and I have never been disappointed! Def a go to spot if you're in the area!
