It was our first time trying Cholada Thai Cuisine LB, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the tom yum soup (mild) with an add on of seafood, along with a chicken friend rice. Both entrees were amazing! They both had such great flavor, we ordered our tom yum with mild spice and it was just the perfect kick not too spicy and not plain. Our chicken fried rice did not need any additional condiments as all the flavor was packed on! I also ordered a Thai ice coffee, it was delish. Their ice coffee reminded me of Vietnamese coffee it was yummy! We had an overall great experience, the staff was nice and welcoming. The place is not loud, they had chill music playing in the background it was enjoyable while eating. We have officially found our new favorite Thai restaurant in Long Beach. read more

This place is the perfect place to come to lunch for some Thai!! They have super lunch specials! Not just the price but the food and service are great as well. Bo recommended the Drunken Noodles which I got with Beef and Green Curry Chicken with rice. Both were ordered from the lunch special menu. I came on a weekday during lunch and I was the only customer there so I got seated right away. The ambiance was nice with Thai decor all around. I ordered their pad see ew lunch special which came with salad, wontons, and a drink. The salad was fresh and good, especially with the peanut dressing they used. The food and service is very good. I have been here several times already and it seems like there is only like 4 -6 people whenever I drive by this establishment. I believe this place needs a word-of-mouth acknowledgement and should be recognized for the service and food given. Prices are acceptable and restaurant is clean. The only negative part about this restaurant is location. You may need to park on the street or a block away from this establishment, can be intimidating since it is a busy street and can be shady pending on the time you go. The yellow curry was really tasty but needed more broth to veggie ratio. Overall we weren't mad about our food but wouldn't put it on the top of the list to go back to. The ambiance is a bit drab. For the price point I'd expect it to be a bit nicer in there. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night but our server never checked back in on us and we had to ask for our check. I love to order the garlic chicken lunch special for pick up when I'm working at home or picking my dog up from the groomer in the same shopping center. . Priced right and the portions are great. Customer service is always on point, and food is packed nicely. I always ask for extra sauces, basically the spice jar that you get if you dine-in. I tried this place for lunch and I was surprised at the amount of options they have for the lunch special (weekdays 11-3) I opted for the Red Curry. It came with your choice of the provided beverages, the red curry, white rice and a salad that has a peanut sauce. The salad is an acquired taste. They have a great lunch special menu which includes a Thai iced tea. I wanted to try something different so instead of getting a red curry, I chose the green curry and it did not disappoint. Thai iced tea with boba was served with so much shaved ice in it was impossible to suck the boba through the straw because the shaved ice blocked it. After I finished most of the boba was still at the bottom underneath a thick layer of this shaved ice. I suggested they try one sometime to see what Im talking about and the waitress responded that she has them all the time and "it's good" they never said how was everything or thank you sir or anything really.
