I am a sushi lover and I also love Bao Buns, so when I saw them on the menu together I was excited! I ordered the shrimp bao bun & the Mango breeze roll. I tried the bao buns first, the buns weren't as soft as I'm use to, the shrimp inside was good though. I would say if the buns were a bit softer, they would have been a 10/10. The sushi was also different than I'm use to, it doesn't taste like your typical sushi, like it doesn't have the sushi taste if that makes sense but for a girl that was hungry, it hit the spot. The mango breeze roll wasn't a bad choice to be honest it just didn't taste like what you would expect from a traditional sushi joint. The service that I experienced wasn't bad, they were very kind and helpful over the phone. Overall not a bad experience and this place seemed popular among the locals.

The food is amazing, This is genuinely my favorite sushi place in weston, i go here all the time. The staff is friendly and service is fast. Highly recommend!!!

Sushiato offers a great variety of delicious sushi, rolls, and other food items on their menu. The rolls are fresh and of great quality any time I order. You can dine in or order to go, or delivery, and with presentation and the taste of their rolls, they never disappoint. The dine-in ambiance in the Weston location is modern and minimalistic, and the service performed well to serve your needs. But the food quality is the go-to because they never disappoint, and my family and I have gone to this place for many years in a row. I ordered a dragon roll, usually my go-to favorite, and it was well presented and was delicious, as usual. Stop by and try something new, yourself!

This place is absolutely delicious! Every roll I have ever tried here has been amazing. The rebellion roll is definitely one of my favorites. They also have great poke bowls and incredible desserts. The staff is super friendly and Sandra (the owner) is one of the nicest people ever. We love coming here.

Tiger roll, looks nothing like the photo & not sure of pink color, that is cream cheese NOT salmon. Breading was sweet, wrong!

1st time ordering, we got Kaizo soup and BOGO Tiger roll and Alaskan roll. Soup was okay, not what you expect from a place with Sushi in the name. Lots of liquid good amount of veggies but sad on protein. Roger roll was horrible. Some sort of sweet breading, ZERO salmon, just wrong , Alaskan roll, meh not worth the price even on a bogo.

This was my first time here and first time at a sushi Latino fusion restaurant. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. All of the choices we were served were very tasteful. The fusions and combinations of sushi rolls or sashimi were well blended and nicely presented. The flavors worked well together. Unfortunately I don't remember all the names of the rolls we had but if you look at the pictures in the menu on their website you might be like me. It all looks so good and you want to try it all hahaha. Also the service was friendly and correctly executed. This place is worth your visit if you are a sushi lover and curious to try some fusions. This is by far the most exquisite sushi I've ever had. This it's our second time here and it certainly won't be our last. Each roll that we had was unique and delicious with the flavors balanced to perfection. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service was great!

This place was a bit on the pricier side. The drinks and sushi were all really good, and super tasty! The only thing is that it adds up quickly. We had two separate rolls and some appetizers but everything was super tasty and fresh! That was my fave part, it tasted like they had just made it! They also have some sauce that is to die for! Hidden gem! I've lived in weston forever but never came to this place! I went with a friend and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. The food was great, the atmosphere was very fun and hip! Our server was very attentive and the sushi was good! I will be back!

Holy [SUSHIATO] , the sushi(s), the experience, the ambiance & the service was a 10/10 :) My friend suggested we go here after class :) Besides, can't go wrong with Sushi Night! [What did I do during class time though ...? ] I thought of Sushi. Then I browsed through the menu on their website and a made list with my friend. That way once we get there, we order right away hehe. Once my friend and I got there, we were greeted by a guy, who happened to end up being our waiter. He told us we could sit anywhere we liked. My friend and I found a seating across the Sushi bar. The lovely waiter asked, " can I get any of two drinks ?" and I said, "We would like to. start off with water, please" :) While the lovely waiter went to get water for us. I did some browsing around the place with my eyes. The restaurant is very cute and cozy inside. They had interesting lights hanging from the ceiling (in a cool way). Adorable wall full of planters. I noticed they had 6 feet away stickers on the floor. The tables were kept at a distance. The place provided hand sanitizer. As always wearing mask is required before entering the place. The waiter came back with our waters. We said to him, "thank you" and will never forget it, the sweet waiter said, "My pleasure" -- very polite ! He then took our orders... behold I pulled my paper out of my wallet that had what my friend and I wanted to order! By the way, if you want the menu, you would need your phone to scan the QR Code, in which they pasted on the corner of the table. Anywaysss... We ordered (I listed what is in it via. Menu they have Online): #1 Sushiato Roll (Riceless) - $20 --- Salmon, tuna, white fish, krab, cream cheese & Masago, fried to perfection, with eel sauce on top - 8 Pieces #2 Tom-Su Special (Riceless) - $22 (We chose: Krab) --- Your selection of krab, tuna, salmon or steamed shrimp with avocado, cilantro & red onion wrapped in cucumber with ponzu sauce - 6 Pieces #3 Salmon Deluxe (Riceless) - $16 --- Krab salad, avocado & asparagus wrapped in salmon with onion dressing on top - 10 Pieces #4 Ohana Roll (Riceless) - $20 ---Spicy tuna, krab chips, avocado, and cream cheese with scallions, tobiko, and sweet chili sauce, fried to perfection - 8 Pieces $$ Sushiato's sushi(s) can be pricey $$ After the waiter took our order, my friend asked him if the art pieces are for sale. His response was, "yes they are". The Arts is located in the back where the adorable wall of planters is. There is event Art once you enter inside. Arts such as: a cute apple decor (can be used like a paper weight, hehe), small sculptors , and paintings too :) My thought about the sushi(s) was that they were presented nicely, fresh looking, and well I could not wait to dig in, hehe. I tried the Ohana Roll first (crunchy, tasted like chicken a bit lol), then the Salmon Deluxe (Delicious!), next Tom-su Special (The sauce was good with the cucumber for sure), and lastly, the Sushiato (Crunchy -- indeed was fried to perfection). I would rank my faves: #1 Salmon Deluxe #2 Tom-Su Special #3 Sushiato #4 Ohana Overall, I had a great time devouring the delicious sushi(s). I accidentally stumbled upon Sushiato on Instagram and decided it would be a perfect spot for dinner with my sushi-loving best friend after scrolling through their photos. We were both so excited to go that we even wrote out a list of sushi rolls we intended to try (talk about excitement)! Upon entry, my friend and I were greeted promptly and informed that we could sit anywhere we liked. All tables appeared clean, were spaced 6-ft apart, and featured scannable menus. We opted for a larger 4-seater table because we expected to order quite a bit of sushi rolls - hehe! Taking a look around the venue, I noticed the restaurant's interesting artistic flare. Sculptures of cherries, insects, and ice cream cones were featured in various spots around the restaurant. Modern lights hung from the ceilings, and white beautifully blossomed orchids were perched by the sushi bar. After complimenting Suchiato's artistic decor, our waiter informed us that we could feel free to take a look around because all of their artwork is for sale! Our waiter was friendly and efficient. He kept a keen eye on our water glasses and even scrolled through Sushiato's physical menu to show my friend and me pictures and descriptions of Sushiato's most popular rolls, which we mentally noted for our next visit. We pulled out our list and proceeded to order their Sushiato Roll, Tom-su Special Roll (with krab), Salmon Deluxe Roll, and Ohana Roll. The service was quite quick, and we were brought our rolls 10-15 after ordering. While every roll was exquisite and worth it, my absolute favorite was their Salmon Deluxe Roll. For $16, I received 10 pieces of the most flavorful and addictive sushi roll I have ever tried. The taste of the krab melted in my mouth like butter. The onion dressing was a perfect complement to the krab salad and salmon in the roll. This roll was heavenly with or without soy sauce; I have never had a salmon roll as enjoyable as this one! I must have liked it a bit too much because I ended up eating 8 of the 10 pieces and left my friend only 2 (only because I felt I had to be generous - lol)! Although a bit pricy, the taste and quality of the rolls and the service were worth the experience! I also appreciate their abundance of riceless roll offerings - perfect high-protein rolls for those watching their carb intake! I definitely see myself returning to Sushiato in the future to order my beloved Salmon Deluxe Roll and splurging on some of their other popular rolls. *Update: lost a star because apparently you need reservations on a Friday to dine in despite all (save for two) tables being empty. No notice of this policy anywhere...

Convinced this place only has so many stars because of the limited number of restaurants in the area and probably only sushi place in 10 mile radius. The food is horrible, the service is horrible, and it's overpriced for what you get... in the end it's bland food served on a serving for a small child. On a side note after I warned a friend the food wasn't that great she decided to try with her family and they all ended up with food poisoning. read more

This place was AMAZING! First off, the decor is adorable. I felt like I was in a cafe somewhere in New York City. Second, the food was super fresh and tasty! The waiters really helped explain the concept behind the rules and the flavors. The place also has options for vegans which a lot of sushi places don't offer. My only regret was the I never got the dessert which was the fried Nutella balls severed with ice cream. I just have to go back and have it then! Btw the sushi rolls are huge not your average small sushi roll size. read more

Great little and local Sushi restaurant with unique combinations. Loved everything. The weeks special was Purple Rain (see pic) with purple mashed potatoes and toped with himemade tuna salad. The location is hidden from the street in a small shopping strip. Decorated in modern but simple. read more

To star when we got there they asked us if we had a reservation (we didn't ) but the restaurant was almost empty and there were more than 5 empty tables , of course we said no and we understand if there is not space but they sat us down, we ordered ceviche (2 stars), chicken fried rice (1 star), the special sushi of the day (6 stars), teriyaki salmon (3 stars since the vegetables look and tasted pretty old) . Our food took more than 30 min to arrive . Oh, and we finished our food and there were still 4-5 empty tables. Not coming back read more

The food is alright. Being the avid sushi lover that I am I truly expected a lot more. The food is supposed to go hand in hand with the price and I honestly believe I was robbed. I ended up paying $24 for a small sushi roll that didn't fill me, which included the 18% tip that is MANDATORY. Not to mention the service was not at the level I was expecting either considering I was forced into paying a 18% tip and 7% tax (Weston tax is only 6%). If anyone is interested I highly recommend Ke-Uh it is 5 minutes away and will save you time and money. read more

Beyond great! As a keto, low-carber, sushi-lover it gets complicated sometimes trying to get your rice-less option right at sushi places. This place has so many options for Keto people in the menu that you don't even have to go back and forth trying to make your own thing out of the options available. Flavor and sizes were amazing. Definitely coming back. Excited to hear they'll be opening in Brickell!!! read more

I over love this place my 4th visit and what can I say except amazing. I have not had anything from here to complain about. The service and foodies consistently awesome all four times! Small sushi spot in Weston with some serious and interesting sushi roll combos. It's in a shopping plaza next to chipotle. Not a lot of parking in the lot in front but I'm sure the plaza expands for more spots. I ordered pickup and service was fast and pleasant. The rolls are very expensive. They are creative but not worth $20 for the ingredients inside... I'm sorry there are no filet mignon rolls sprinkled with white truffle that they have to be threat pricey. The riceless rolls yes I can see being justified due to the extra proteins involved especially being high quality seafood. But $20 for some rice & veggie wrapped shrimp is overboard. The quality of the sushi is very good, fresh and a decent size portion but I don't think I would return to purchase sushi. Maybe another item from the menu but not the soosh. The only con they had other than the price was that they forgot the wasabi and ginger in the container. I love the ginger. Overall it's a nice creative sushi joint with a slight Latin flare but not really worth it when it comes to value of the plates. Maybe a dollar or two less on the menu would set this place over the top but I don't know if the area is so wealthy or not that it doesn't matter (as I'm not from Weston or Florida for that matter). I found their dishes to be extremely creative some of the dishes were very excellent ... However for the True sashimi lover or for the true sushi affectionato ... they may find The quality a little less than what they should expect Prices are also higher on most items than one should expect from a traditional Japanese restaurant but then again this is the Latin Japanese style The management and waitstaff are extremely helpful and attentive read more

Sad, just a generic response. How about letting us know, hey I'm sorry it could have been just a bad batch of ingredients or cross contamination. Aside your customers you'll fix it and maybe a customer would give you some benefit of the doubt and try again. Don't just give a generic answer. Sad response. Own it. read more

I gave a 1 Star because of the manager. The server and food was great. I ordered at the sushi bar, vegetable gyozas, hot tea, salmon tacos and a sushi roll. The sever brought me the regular gyozas and after biting into the third one I realized that it was meat. I haven't eaten meat in over a year but I was just coming from a 4 hour drive and I was starving, so no I didn't realize and I spit it out when I realized it was meat . The server was apologetic and ordered me the vegetable ones. Once the check came, the manager had to take off the regular ones. I was sitting right in front of the sushi station when I over heard her saying to the server "She are three of them, how could she not know she was eating meat". Did she want me to show her what I had spit into my napkin? That's just tacky. My bill for one person was $40 and I left a 20 percent gratuity. Note to manager - Don't talk about customers when they are sitting right in front of you. read more

This place was fantastic! Stopped by Saturday afternoon to check it out. Ordered the Sushi Pizza, Shrimp Tempura and Dragon roll. Everything looked amazing and tasted great. Service was fast, pleasant and overall good. Only drawbacks was the drinks were pricey - Rose for $13 for a glass and Kawaba for $9. Hope they can bring that down but still was probably the best sushi in the area! read more

Ordered only one sushi roll tonight with my boyfriend to try the ohana roll. There was only one other person in the restaurant when we got there at 6:30pm. Unfortunately, the food took thirty minutes to come out... for one roll. It was alright. I think if the waitress came to our table to refill our drinks and assured us that our food wasn't forgotten about it would have been a better experience. It was a total of $25 for a roll & tip. Won't be coming back here. read more

Awesome. Probably the best sushi I've had in south Florida. Place is quaint on the inside and the service was 10/10. The star was the food, though. The Guava roll was my favorite. Sweet and savory. Excellent Japanese beer selection. We had the Thai doughnuts for dessert. They were hot, fresh, a little sweet and served with condensed milk. Delicious. read more

The hubby and i went there for date night. It was worth the price. The food was amazing. The sushi was fresh and the combinations were delicious. This place is not for kids. I think it's too pricey but definitely a fun date night. It's also small so be careful with big groups. We would definitely go back. read more

I completely looooove this place ! I went with my husband on Sunday and I can't wait to go back again ! We had the koko roll for share ( amazing ) I ate the Neptuno salad and the salad roll ( I don't have words to describe this roll is riceless and it's my favorite in town )! The place is very cozy I wish it was a little bit bigger but I'll definitely be back !!! I'm from venezuela and this sushi place reminded me what is sushi in venezuela !!! This was my go-to sushi place in both Weston and Brickell. Both locations WERE great. I would brag and blindly recommend this place as my favorite sushi place. Needless to say the next few words are hard for me to write. My last two visits have been disappointing to say the least. On my second to last visit, I noticed that the quality of the menu items I usually ordered (Guava Roll, used to be my favorite roll) was not the same. The rolls fell apart and honestly it just did not taste the same. Not to mention that they had increase the price of the menu items. My whole family fell ill, but we just thought it was a one time thing. Two weeks later we had sushi cravings again. We ordered our usuals and during the night my boy fell ill again vomiting and my daughter spent the night in the bathroom as well. Not going back. Hurts cause now my kids that used to love sushi are terrified of eating it ever again. read more

My daughter was craving sushi. We have a favorite but I checked out Yelp anyway. I came across Sushiato and was intrigued. Latin fusion sushi. We started with miso soup. My daughter ordered the Tamarindo roll and I had the Tuna Crunch roll. The Tamarindo with salmon tempura, tuna, avocado and crunchy fried plantain was perfect with the sweet tamarind sauce. The Tuna Crunch is watercress tempura and cream cheese roll, spicy tuna with tobiko (flying fish roe) on top. On the side was a delicious orange ginger glaze to dip in. Each roll has 10 pieces and I'm glad my daughter was there to help me out. While the prices are a bit higher, I feel their unique combinations make up for it. The place is small but very clean and contemporary. We went around 8:30 on a Thursday night and tables were available. They have a good choice of beer and wine. I think this is a great fit for Weston. read more

Overpriced! I'm really disappointed as I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and it's minutes from my house. Half filled container of miso and two rolls $48 (with tip). Won't be back and recommend you don't waste your time either. read more

I love to eat at Sushiato! My favorite roll is the moon. Very fresh and crunchy. Love the roasted nuts and honey! To die for! Beautiful and cozy place. I would eat here every day! The prices are outrageous for the quality of the sushi. The sushi chef was blowing his nose so loud for about 5 minutes in front of customers. Disgusting! The waitress was on her cell phone in front of customers the whole time and provided horrible service. She did not refill our waters even after we asked and she forgot to bring us a salad. Horrible place. I won't be back. read more

I went with my parents to this restaurant thinking it would be amazing. Honestly it's not the best sushi restaurant and it's pricey for what they serve. The sushi wasn't a mind blowing taste which I expected and the fried rice was extremely small for the price. I could go to another restaurant with cheaper priced fried rice that will serve up to 3 to 4 people. The only thing I found very good was the apple tempura desert. Other than that they're are other places way better to eat sushi than this restaurant. I'd rather go to KFC over this place. read more

Honestly.. after reading the excellent reviews i decided to give this place a chance. Immediately seated due to no other customers being in there,i was hopeful my food would come out quick(that didn't happen). I got a Volcano Roll/ Spicy Salmon Roll, my best friend got the Alaska Roll Tempuraed.. the food was not worth it. Completely bland.. didn't even taste like sushi. The tempura they used was similar to an outside of a croquetta.. tasted like it too. The dessert wasn't even good what so ever, brownie came out cold and small portion. As a sushi love i will never be going back there!! read more

In addition, your reservation system offers no option of indoor vs outdoor seating. 99% of your patrons were eating inside because it was drizzling, hot, and humid. If you had offered outside only at the time I made the reservation I would not have made the reservation. Maybe look into adding that option instead of surprising guests. Folks, try Kaeru Sushi & Grill in West Pines. They are a fantastic sushi spot and always respect reservations.

We had just finished a surprisingly great sampling of sushi rolls, and were discussing how we needed to bring some friends to this trendy-looking new place. This is what we had hoped for, ending up at Sushiato only because it was a new sushi place listed on a popular restaurant review website. What a great find we had made, and we never would have come here if we didn't have a voucher for $25 off $50 that we bought on (unnamed website). Our satisfaction of having found a great new sushi place became irretrievably lost once the check came. When we showed our server our VALID discount certificate, he told us they weren't accepting them. The manager then came over and gave us some story about not giving (unnamed restaurant website dot com) permission to sell these $25 certificates on their website. Or, "he told them to remove them a week ago". Whatever. It is his right to offer or not offer discounts or dining certificates. I understand that. But then, to just inform us that he isn't accepting the certificates and expect us to be happy about having made the trip to Weston from Hollywood is simply pretentious. We asked him to offer us some kind of concession-anything-like a 20 or 25% discount (which would have been only a $10-$15 reduction of the bill) and he refused! Really? We just got through telling you what a nice experience we had and you want to discard a potential repeat customer over 10 dollars??? I would have been completely satisfied, with just a small concession in place of the $25 certificate! In full disclosure, he did offer us a "free glass of wine", but we had already finished dinner and were ready to leave. So, go here if you want to be taken for granted as a customer. We arrived for an early dinner, and the place was empty. But by the time we left all the tables were filled. Some friends ordered Thai tea and said it was good. They also had a green curry they liked, but the sauce was a little watery, and a fried fish that was okay, but not great they said. We ordered a pad thai which was tasty but a little heavy, and a masuman curry that was a little on the sweet side. It was enjoyable. It wasn't really expensive. And all in all we were satisfied with the meal. I might have said 3 stars on the food, but overall it was a pleasant meal.

It's tucked in the shopping center next to Publix and across from a school. It's in no way obvious from the street, and even the sign is obscured. The restaurant is kind of plain inside. I think it's owned by a Venezuelan family, but it's definitely Japanese in its menu. And they have a whole vegan menu! That's pretty awesome. The waiter was very nice and fairly accommodating as we asked for a few things. We opted to go for the vegan menu, and because we were a party of 5, we took the 2 appetizer & 5 entrees option on the menu. The thing about it is that the entrees were all interesting and unique in some ways. They weren't regular sushi with some substitutions. They really made an effort. For the appetizers, we took the gyoza and the bao buns. The gyoza (5 in a serving) were very tasty and the bao buns were good but there were two to share with 5 people. We all got a taste but it was a little odd. It came with maple mustard, which was a great accompaniment, even with the other dishes. For the entrees, the standout was the ceviche. It was a clever use of fruits and vegetables in lime juice that certainly mimicked its fish counterpart. The "pizza" was interesting as they made use of the rice as a crispy base. The other three rolls we got had some nice textures and flavors, so we were happy with them. The reason I rounded down on the stars were two things: the atmosphere and the overall price point, which was a little bit on the high side for what you get. Otherwise, it was a good experience, and I would encourage anyone to check it out. Try the vegan menu, it's unique and pretty good.

I gave them my name when I approached the counter and they told me that my order still wasn't ready, and I was quite surprised because I had ordered about an hour before. The girl did quickly return to tell me that they were packing everything up and it should be out momentarily and it was. But other than that, A+++ from us tonight, Sushi Sake.
