Rock and roll and a few pieces of Rainbow

We didn't time it right because my daughter had to go to work. Been there before for the viral sushi pizza box. Today we had vegetable tempura and 3 rolls. Rainbow, rock and roll and white house. Probably would have had a better experience if we didn't have to rush. One of the fish on the rain bow was a little d Strong but still good. We couldn't finish the last roll which I think was the White House. Going to give that one to my son. We took it to go.

After saying I would stop by to try the food for 2 years, I finally did. I'm sad to say that it was not good at all. First, the customer service was lacking. We were not welcomed nor asked if we needed assistance. The overhead menu is very dark and hard to read. The ambiance of the location is drab and dark so we decided to order to go. We tried the gyoza, veggie egg rolls, cucumber salad, water eel roll (not what we originally ordered, she messed up), and 2 pieces of tuna sushi. Every item was watery and disappointing besides the cucumber salad. The rolls were unusually warm and the avocado did not taste very fresh. The veggie egg rolls were very soggy as if they were once frozen, defrosted, and not crisped up all the way through, the gyoza was also wet, fell apart at the touch, and severely lacked flavor. The sushi pieces tasted more like water than fish. Was everything frozen first? The cucumber salad was the only thing that tasted as it should. My family are legit sushi and sashimi lovers and knew from the overall appearance of the order that this wasn't going to go well. I should have canceled the order and left when I saw a pot of seafood in running water in the sink behind the sushi chefs. Was this just a bad day or have they gone down? I won't know because I'm never coming back.

Called in for a Togo order. We ordered Sweet Angeles Roll, Hot Night Roll and Shrimp Tempura. The order was prompt and she told me it was ready in 10 min. Arrived and ambiance is small and tight. Limited seats. Food was good. Packaged separately.

Service was okay, one of our rolls was forgotten about so we had to ask to reorder it. Place is very small and limited seating, we came when it was busy but the friend we went with says it's normally quiet. I'd go back but I'd order less food next time

First time coming here and did not disappoint! We finally found a sushi spot we like by our house. We ordered Las Vegas, Baked Lobster and Rattle Snake roll and all were so good! Cant wait to come back and try their other rolls on the menu.

A better name for Sushiholic should be "Teriyaki N' Sushiholic" because their teriyaki chicken and beef... the sauce is just as amazing as their sushi rolls. Yes who can resist their spicy sliced jalapeño topped Peppered Salmon Roll or their texture paradise "Jessica Roll" that's like a Rainbow Roll but with crunchy tempura inside. I feeling extra crunchy today and enjoyed their Calmari Tempura served with their addictive spicy mayo! The other side of Sushiholic that outshines the creative rolls has to be their teriyaki plates. I can't say which is better, chicken or beef because both are delicious. What's makes a good teriyaki is of course their sauce. It's a great balance of sweet, salty and saucy but not too sticky. The way this spot grills their chicken and beef is just perfect. The beef is tender and not dry at all. That also goes for the grilled chicken. Even if it didn't have the sauce, the teriyaki meats still have flavor. Service is attentive. This is a casual spot for a quick bite to eat that won't hurt your wallet or just need a quick meal on the go! Come check out Sushiholic!

Came here for the second time in the same week and I'm officially a fan. This little hole-in-the-wall spot gets packed, but it's absolutely worth the wait. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and it was perfect--tender chicken and just the right amount of teriyaki sauce. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Easily one of my favorite go-to Japanese restaurants.

Walked in one late afternoon by myself just came back from school. And girls there were really nice and friendly. Had the California rolls . it was 8 for $5 Very good price. And really yummy. Would recommend to anyone. They also have happy hour. Take advantage of that read more

Aside from the place being on the small side, the staff was polite, friendly, and attentive to our needs. We didn't know what to expect since it was our first time but we were pleasantly surprised! Definitely recommend the number one roll, and the popcorn lobster roll read more

By far my favorite spot for sushi! Their portions are super generous and the service is always great! Not only are the portions very generous, but their sushi is very tasty! We ordered the Pink Lady, Peppered Salmon, Mango Salmon, and their Crunch Shrimp! The Peppered Salmon used to be my favorite because of the spicy kick, but I think the Pink Lady has won me over beacause it was full of flavor! We've been here a few times in the past and always sat inside. Since the weather was nice this particular night and we had 3 very active kids, we opted to sit outside. You'd think since we opted to sit outside that the service wouldn't be great and that they would forget about us, but that wasn't the case at all! Our server checked on us often and made sure trash and empty dishes were taken away and that our drinks were filled. This is my 2nd review on this gem and I still wouldn't rate them any less! read more

This is definitely my new favorite place to grab sushi. I love good food and I love good service even more. This place is tiny, but they have a good amount of dining space in this nicely decorated room. I consider getting California rolls from Fresh and Easy next door, but why would I do that when I get excellent service and reasonably priced food at Sushiholic. Their menu is very extensive and their servings are very generous. Check this place out and see what all the hype is about! read more

This place is a small but their service is pretty quick! Their waiters are also very friendly. I wanted sushi and came here with my boyfriend. We came during their happy hour so they took 15% off our bill. Their sushi portions here are huge! I really liked the assorted sashimi salad here. read more

We ordered sesame chicken, spicy ramen, and rattlesnake roll. Sesame chicken was very soggy and didn't taste right so we didn't touched it. Server came and questioned us how come we are not eating it and we told her the problem. Without hesitation she canceled the order and she apologized. Ramen was decent and rattlesnake roll was sooo good!! Service is good very friendly. Must try their tempura ice cream!! Yum! read more

This little joint is so good, the food is fresh and the menu has so many different kinds of combos! My personal favorite is the salmon killer and the super man burrito. If you like appetizers then I highly recommend the Jalapeño poppers. read more

This place is very small but very delicious. It is my favorite sushi place and I always pick to go here first before anywhere else. Their Philly tempura roll is so good! The quality of the food is always great too, even when I get take out. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I love their service as well as their rolls. I wanted to try this place because of the great Yelp reviews. The sushi was ok, but not the best I've tasted. However, I gave it 4 stars because of the service. Our server was excellent. He would bring what we needed before we asked. He didn't come over every second either and ask if we needed anything. He let us enjoy our meal. read more

I've only known about this place for a week and I've already been here twice. Very good. My favorite so far is the pink lady roll. No rice. Bomb! The staff is very friendly and the last time i was there they treated us to ice cream which was very nice. I'll be back I'm sure :) read more

My co worker and I went here for lunch today. She was VERY pleased with the roll she got, and as for myself, I chose the shrimp spring rolls. OMG! So FRESH and so delicious! I will definitely be coming back again. The atmosphere is nice n' casual, and the workers greet you right away as you walk in. The waitress/cashier girl was very nice and kept checking on us to make sure we were fine. I definitely recommend this place! It looks like it'd be a fast food joint, which I guess it kind of is, but the food is DEFINITELY NOT fast food quality! I'll be going back again very soon to try some of the rolls out! read more

We just kind of happened upon this place on our way up to Monterey, found it on yelp. I was originally going to give it 4 stars, because the sushi was good, but I had had better. And then they blew us away with their service. They were so sweet and friendly, and gave us an amazing free roll, it was like some burrito roll, and free ice cream, and edimame, and just made it an all around great experience for us first timers there :) read more

Their rolls are really good! Place is kinda small. They seem to be busy during the weekend and seats were limited. Service was good. But this place isn't like the formal sushi restaurants you would want to take a date. More like a fast food type of joint but it's not. I think I will come back here for the food but probably not for the dining experience. read more

Great sushi. Had the Jessica Roll and loved it. Everything we like in one roll. The tempura tea ice cream was way better than it sounded. They also sell bottled Coca Cola from Mexico which was a great. But the best part was the service. Staff was very attentive and welcoming. We will be returning. read more

Sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered peppered salmon, spicy tuna and crunch rolls along with some albacore, yellow tail and tuna sushi. All very fresh. First time here. I was unsure of what I'd get but I was not disappointed. I tried the Crazy Roll, Salmon Pepper Roll, Baked Muscles, Baked Lobster Roll, Tempura, and Chicken Teriyaki. My family and I have been going here since they opened. When they were brand new, they were totally worth 4 or 5 stars; however, the longer they've been around and the more popular and busier they've become, the quality has definitely suffered. Not that they're bad or anything, they're still ok. But you can definitely taste the shift the restaurant has made from quality to quantity :/ read more

Ambiance/Service (3/5): We went around 1 PM on a Saturday and it was surprisingly dead in there; we were the only ones who dined in and there was only one customer picking up an order the entire time we were there. However, it didn't feel awkward. There was a TV playing on medium volume and the older Korean owners were really nice and made us feel welcomed. They gave us two bowls of complimentary miso soup (which our toddlers loved). Food came out relatively quickly. It definitely has mom n' pop vibes which I love. Decor was minimal but clean and the restaurant was well maintained. I think the place would make a nice casual dinner date. Food/Value (4/5): We ordered the udon with 4-piece spicy tuna roll combo, the mixed tempura appetizer, a baked salmon roll and a California roll. The total came out to $51.25. Prices are super fair for what you get, especially if you're craving special rolls or want a little of everything (they have so many combos). I'll review our food specifically below: -Udon & spicy tuna combo (3/5): Udon came in a pretty big bowl with udon, fish cake, green onions, and tempura flakes. Udon was nice and chewy, but the soup itself felt like it could use more depth. My husband wasn't a huge fan of the spicy tuna roll; he noted that the flavor wasn't the best, texture was bit different and the roll itself was loosely packed. He said he'd skip the spicy tuna next time. -Mixed Tempura (5/5): This was delicious. It came crispy and hot, with ten pieces total--2 each of pumpkin, potato, zucchini, carrot, and shrimp. The kids loved it and the sauce complimented it well. -Baked salmon roll (4/5): This was tasty, but it left something to be desired. I guess I'm used to heavier baked rolls with more creamy sauce reminiscent of a rice casserole made into a roll. Their rendition is essentially salmon placed on top of a CA roll with a drizzle of some sort of sweet soy sauce, but it was tasty nonetheless. -California roll (5/5): Awesome price and awesome taste. Loved every bite. I would come again just to order multiple of these. They don't skimp on the filling. Overall, I would give this place a 4 because it was a great lunch experience. We live relatively close, so this might be my go-to sushi craving place in the future. Would definitely come again and support this little mom n' pop shop!

We waited quite a while, assuming it would be brought out, but no one ever checked in on our table. This seems to match other reviews mentioning a lack of staff awareness and attention to customers. The staff appeared to only come by to take orders and drop off checks. We were even seated near the register, yet no one noticed that an entire meal was missing. When it was time to pay, another employee helped us. We had to point out that the ramen never came and ask for it to be removed from the bill. His response was simply, "Sorry about that, let me take it off. Here's your total." There was no real sense of concern, apology, or effort to make the situation right. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and customer service is what made this experience so disappointing. Staff could benefit from additional customer service training and more awareness of their guests' needs. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to others.

I visited this location for the first time on a Monday evening around 7:00 PM. While I expected it to be busy, the experience was disappointing from the start. Upon entering, there was no greeting from staff--only a lack of acknowledgment. I asked about the process to add my name to the waitlist and inquired about the estimated wait time for a party of two, but my question went unanswered. I was simply told to provide my name and phone number. After waiting approximately 41 minutes--and observing several parties leave--I anticipated being seated soon. However, a group of five arrived, were immediately accommodated, and seated ahead of me. When I followed up about my wait time, I was briefly told "five minutes," but after another 10 minutes passed with no update, I decided to leave. Overall, the lack of communication and organization was frustrating and disappointing. I would recommend considering Tokyo Sushi instead, where the food and service are consistently great. read more

We regularly get the chicken teriyaki combination with vegetable tempura and spicy tuna tolls for takeout. I like how they have the foresight to use containers that have a hole in the corner to let the steam out so the tempura would stay crispy and not soggy. The chicken teriyaki is delicious and the both the California rolls and spicy tuna rolls are good too. I can do without the Christian music playing in the background of the restaurant but thankfully I'm usually only there long enough to pick up the food and leave. read more
