Sushiholice used to be one of my favorite AYCE sushi restaurants. But I hadn't been there since 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment of my first time return in April 2026. Their ambiance remains the same, and their service was good as before. However, I can't say the same about their sushi. I understand that sashimi and sushi aren't hot dishes. But they aren't supposed to be ice cold either, and their sushi rice wasn't any warmer. Most importantly, without different sauces and toppings, the sushi was totally tasteless and without texture. If I'd eaten my meal with my eyes closed, I wouldn't be able to tell the differences between albacore, salmon, tuna and yellowtail, etc. My "favorite dishes" of the evening were baked mussels and miso soup, which I shouldn't paid $40 for. Been here throughout the years, first time I decide to review it. This place has gone either through a couple of owners or name changes. Either way, it's a solid place overall to eat some sushi. I usually like to come here during lunch, food qualities to save in my opinion compared to lunch, except for one or two items. I don't think you're missing out and if you get to save around five bucks why not. During the evenings it does usually get pretty packed and parking is really tight in the shopping center. Food The Sushi itself I felt was a little inconsistent. There was times when I got different cuts of the year where I thought it was amazing, come to order that same order next round and I feel that the quality of the cut was drastically different. I know it's all you can eat sushi location, But I do expect some type of stability when it comes to the quality of fish that they are serving. The service usually is really good here, usually the only thing that takes a long time is getting your food. But seeing how busy it tends to get, there's a reason why you have to wait. Nothing that they can really do just that the orders get queued up. Overall, it's a good all you can eat spot. Definitely more of a quantity type place as opposed to a quality type place. read more

Once again, Sushiholics for the win tonight to fix our sushi cravings! You can't beat a place where the wait staff remembers you and all your personal needs (2 waters 1 with no ice, a side of green onions and eel sauce, extra ginger and a fork for the hubby) Christine is a regular server as is Eddie. They are both top notch, super friendly, always know our "needs", and are quick to make something right if you didn't get an item. We always get the AYCE and it's always to perfection! I can't say enough how disappointed I am with the food and service is here. The owners changed since first coming here for many years. Recently after not coming to this place for a few months the food quality has changed. Too much rice on the rolls they reduced the amount of fish not very fresh or cold like it should be. They give it to you very messy rolls and falling apart. I left this place feeling sick. I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. Plus I don't like the QR ordering system it doesn't work if you need drink refills or call the server to your table. read more

Easy parking; Has its own lot. Ambiance was nothing special but had a good amount of seating. Got seated quickly during dinner time on a weeknight. Server made sure to check on us throughout the meal. Now let's get to the food: - For appetizers, we got the Kurobata sausage and takoyaki. Both were good and had nice textures. - My biggest gripe was that the rice for all the sushi and nigiri was just plain rice and not sushi rice. There was also portions that were undercooked. This really detracted from the flavor too. - The fish quality was NOT GOOD. Different types of fish should taste different but they all tasted the same (with the exception of unagi and escolar being good). Couldn't even tell which cut was supposed to the bluefin. The "vip" nigiris looked appealing but were nothing special- just topped with chili oil and black pepper. The sashimi nacho also lacked flavor and didn't have toppings which was underwhelming. - I liked the Mango Tango roll- it was very refreshing. The cha-cha roll was also decent but some of the strawberries were cut too thinly and needed more spicy mayo sauce. The mango lovers roll had even thinner slices of mango and avocado and HALF OF IT was filled with rice. Disappointing. read more

Wanted to check what this "Anti Basic Sushi Club" is all about. As on reviewer said food is less authentic. Food is ok at best. Did not enjoy the California nor the Spicy Tuna rolls. The rice was too sour for my taste. Although the batter for the calamari tempura was light and well seasoned, the calamari itself was not. There was only one person taking orders, bringing the food, clearing the tables, and he was the cashier as well. Some tables were left uncleared for a long while due to this. It was not fresh so it made us lose our appetite. We ordered oysters which were also not fresh. Their baked rolls were ok. As for the hot Cheetos roll, you can't even taste the hot Cheetos as they only sprinkle very little of it. Their chicken karaage came in a very tiny pieces and tasted quite dry. Came here with my brother and his friend for the first time. We had all you can eat and stuffed our faces. Christine sat us down & was our waitress. I learned something new today with her. Since my youngest son is allergic to fish, not shell fish. She marked down what he can have with red inked. So whoever preparing tray of food would be aware what can be together or separate from the fish or sushi. She was amazing, but had to leave since end of shift. Always a good time when we stop by Sushiholics. Owner Kenny has done a great job with this establishment. Prices are great, and the ambiance is welcoming. No wait, which was a plus. We had AYCE and i have to say it didn't disappoint. The only request we have is have some hot green tea.... besides that nothing negative to say. We were served by these two awesome people. Came in on a Wednesday around 1 pm, no wait since there was no one inside. The host let us seat ourselves which is great because I always prefer booth seats. The hosts were great in removing our plates, offering other condiments and refilling our water. Sushi was average, nothing tasted amazing. We ordered a few rolls (the hot Cheetos roll was very enticing but tasted nothing special, just California roll with hot Cheetos dusted on top), oysters (maybe we had a bad batch because it was too fishy for my taste), carpaccio, sushi (salmon and squid), muscles, jalapeños poppers (no cream cheese just jalapeños fried and filled with imitation crab meat), seaweed salad, and sashimi nachos. We payed for AYCE which was $39.99, but the pricing was not advertised anywhere on the menu, we later noticed it was penciled in on the top left corner of the AYCE sheet after the fact. Would have been nice if we were either given a price by the host (some sushi spots tell you the price of ayce so you are aware) or it could have been written better on the actual menu. Apparently they have a QR code you order off of and it goes directly to the chef... Hmmm, no thanks, I want to see a menu. My son and I ordered a few shashimi's, i wanted the mixed tempura. Heres how it went... Sashimi, 1st round good, no mixed tempura. 2nd round, My son ordered abalone with other stuff, me a crunch roll which was just ok, still no mixed tempura, so i asked again because 1st round came and went.. 3rd round, my son was tapped out. I asked again for the mixed tempura, they brought 2 soggy shrimps (no veggies) that weren't worth passing the lips. I decided to just order the spicy tuna roll, what can go wrong?? Bad choice!! It came out and tasted mushy, couldn't do it!! uggh!! Then walla, the veggies for the mixed tempura came out, hot! But that was it, I was so done! The staff was ok, but everyone was where, like a tag team, so no just one server to make it personal. So you had to keep asking another one for the same thing you just asked the previous server. We visited for the AYCE, we saw a price online for 25.99 but once we got there it was 39.99. The quality was not worth the price. Each of the nigiri's came with some sort of sauce drizzled on top and it was seasoned heavily with pepper. I'm not sure if they're doing this to mask the quality of the fish but it made things so much worse. The rolls were caked with rice, the fish on the top was a small sliver of a piece. My second biggest complaint was the quality of the imitation crab. They didn't even shred it well, we had chunks and slices of crab inside the rolls and it did not taste good. It seemed like they bought it from Walmart right out of the package. 39.99 is pretty expensive for AYCE - and it is definitely not worth spending here. If you're a regular sushi eater, and you think quality might not bother you, please think again before spending $$ here. Service was ok, the people were nice. The interior was fine too, just super cold inside the restaurant. TLDR: Bad quality sushi, not worth AYCE for 39.99, would not come again. read more

Oooh when I saw Hiro the master sushi chef visit in his trip to cali - this place was bookmarked instantly. Thankfully they offer yelp waitlist as an option- so I was able to put our name on the list while enroute. When we arrived it wasn't too busy and we got our pick of the tables. Service was good. The flow of food during rounds were consistent. They have quite a few riceless rolls and even their options with rice was evenly balanced. Definitely worth the trek from riverside.
