Stopped by Sushiya and had a great experience! We ordered the popcorn crawfish, seared pepper salmon sushi, shrimp tempura roll, miso soup, and edamame, and everything was super fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality, and the restaurant itself has such a cute, cozy vibe. Customer service was great, as well. My only small critique would be the music. The loud pop hits didn't quite match the cool, moody atmosphere. I think some chill lo-fi or mellow instrumental music would fit the space so much better. Either way, we'll definitely be back!

The food is still consistently fresh. I still love the spicy pepper roll (might ask for lighter ponzu, it was a bit too drenched today). The lunch bento is such a great deal with a 4 pc sushi combo. Chicken was nice and tender! The eel and avocado was a bit disappointing today because the eel to avocado ratio was not great in some pieces but decent in others. I'm still supportive of the restaurant though! Always glad to have a solid sushi spot in the area though.

We love this place. It does have great selections. The prices are a little high, but still good quality food we enjoy coming here the staff there are always nice and attentive and kind.. one of our favorite things to order now is the baked salmon roll the spicy tuna roll and the fried chicken cutlet with white rice! An absolute gem for sushi lovers. The standout of the meal was the chirashi bowl, which featured an impressive assortment of exceptionally fresh fish imported directly from Japan. Every bite showcased the quality and care that goes into sourcing their ingredients. Beyond the food, the service was attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive, making the entire dining experience feel effortless. Although, beware, this is one of the only sushi restaurants I've been to that doesn't offer refills on green tea. The restaurant itself strikes a perfect balance between modern and inviting, with a chic atmosphere that elevates the meal. If you're looking for top-quality seafood in a stylish setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Everything was delicious! From the rolls, to the appetizers, even the bento boxes give you premium sides more bang for your buck I am coming back everyone is super friendly and the service is quick and the staff made it easy to make decisions and provide quality service I definitely will come back!

I stopped by for a quick lunch and can absolutely say I'll be coming back! The sushi was so fresh and delicious! Everyone was super friendly since we walked in; they greeted us and us immediately which was perfect because I was so hungry. The inside is dimly lit but very pretty and has the perfect amount of space between each table. Also, the restroom is pretty cool too; some very eclectic decorations for sure! Parking wise, there's a lot of parking available so no issue there.

Update: I came back because the food was really good, despite our waitress being a little awkward. Our waitress today was so nice and friendly, and not awkward at all. Our food came out so fast as well, literally one right after the other.

As always, Sushiya never fails to impress me. From their high-quality sushi to their above-and-beyond customer service, it truly is a pleasure to constantly come back! I always get my regular Sashimi Combo A which comes with your choice of either the Spicy Tuna Roll or Cucumber Roll. I always opt for the spicy tuna roll because it is just so refreshing. My partner ordered an array of sushi including tuna, salmon, and yellowtail which again looked absolutely delicious and tasted just as good as it looks. Honestly, what keeps not just myself, but my whole family coming back is their staff. Sarah is the sweetest soul ever. We've known her from a previous sushi spot in San Dimas and started coming here because of her. I'm glad to always come in and be served by her! Also, the other servers are great as well. I definitely need to start learning all their names lol! I would highly recommend this spot for a date night or even just a casual evening. The restaurant is decorated cutely with a variety of souvenirs scattered across the restaurant. Also, the decorations are super cute! We've been several times and always had great service and great food. This time they were even better than before and we didn't think they could exceed our expectations. The depth of flavors was incredible with such creativity. We had the Manhattan roll which was nice and fresh and the combination or flavors was so complementary. On Saturday 2/21/26 I joined the waitlist at 6:20pm and was worried about the long wait time because I had a hungry one year old with me. One of the waitresses heard me and said it wouldn't take that long because they're clearing off a bunch of tables. She told be 15-20 minutes so I'm like okay I'll wait. After waiting 40 minutes with a restless toddler we decided to leave. By the time we were seated at another sushi place I got a text at 7:10pm that our table was ready. She lied to me knowing I had a hungry toddler with me. She probably said that so she wouldn't lose customers, but that's not right. She should be ashamed of herself lying to customers to keep them there. We'll never go back after that. read more

Added our name to the waitlist and by the time we arrived , we were next in line. As expected , the restaurant was busy on a Friday night. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and prompt with taking our order. The most recent visit , I appreciated that they turned down the music a little since in the past it's always been a little too loud to hold a conversation . We've been here a few times and have never been disappointed . They're very generous with the spicy tuna crispy rice and you can't go wrong with their rolls. We've always been satisfied with the fish to rice ratio in the sushi and our food has consistently tasted fresh and delicious. This is our favorite sushi spot in the area and we've yet to find anything nearby that comes close to its quality! read more

I still love this sushi spot for their fresh, filling rolls and ample portioned bento boxes, but I'm deducting 1 star because I found a long hair in my Sashimi Salad at the start of eating. Thankfully, it was towards the edge of one side of the plate and on the surface of the lettuce. I would've lost my appetite much more if it was more embedded in the salad ewww lol. Also, for the four of us, it took like more than 5 minutes to get our drink orders in, I think they're understaffed. Please management, focus on quality control of preventing hair from getting on your salads and food overall. read more

Stopped by Sunday afternoon, there were only 2 groups in front of us but it quickly picked up. There was really only one lady seating and taking orders, and good for her cause she was on it! We were more than halfway done with our food until we reminded her that we were missing a role, which she apologized for and removed it from our check. Think she needs more help because it would be along while to be asked if we were doing okay. Either way, the food was delicious and very fair prices! Place looks lovely inside as well. read more

Came here for a birthday, I absolutely loved the way the inside was decorated, it was a very fun Japanese vibe. I tried several of their sushi and appetizers and it was all very tasty! Their carpaccio pieces were sliced pretty thick so you get a good amount of meat in each one, I tried their salmon carpaccio and it was mmmm. Aside from the good food, their service was lacking. I came on a Saturday around 5pm and it didn't seem very packed however it took forever to get our food. A person in my party ordered the Omakase B and the full thing wasn't served until after we received the bill. I ordered a bottle of soju to enjoy during the wait and the little shot glass thing they gave me had a smidge inside of it that I was able to clean off with a napkin, however that was a huge ding for me, as from that point on I started checking all of my utensils and plates and I didn't like that I had to do that. I also had to ask for an extra side of that chicken karaage sauce twice because the waitress that I originally asked completely forgot. Overall this place was pretty good, however given my experience, I probably won't be coming back read more

First time here and it was great. Don't know why they are in the back of the property and hidden. They should be in the front for all to see. What we had tasted really good and we will go back for sure. The atmosphere was nice and cool but the service was a little bit slow. Not too bad but just enough to mention. By far the best sushi in the area. It's a cozy spot with a cherry blossom ceiling that really sets the mood. I was craving sushi & came here for my birthday. That makes it my 3rd time coming here and the food is delicious & service is super friendly and attentive every single time. They have an amazing Sake list at great prices. I always get the baked scallop roll & the fresh rolls are great as well. The tempura is a stand out because they do a red bell pepper which I've never seen at any other restaurant and the crunch with fresh sweetness is amazing. I forgot to tell them it was my birthday because I got too full for desert but they have great desert options that I want to try asap. It is completely unsanitary to keep them closed; people are urinating near where the ice machine is located. They need to properly maintain the facility and keep the restrooms open.

Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I ordered takeout on Friday night and was disappointed to notice that the quality of the sushi has declined. I used to be a fan of Sushiya, and it was one of my top go-to spots in the area. We ordered five items, three of which had avocado on top or outside of the rolls. Unfortunately, the avocado was very brown. While that doesn't necessarily indicate it's bad, it made the rolls look unappetizing. When we picked up our order at 5:30 PM, the staff were quite short and not as friendly as I had experienced in the past. The food in our to-go bag was lopsided, which caused some leakage from one of the containers at the bottom of the bag. As we unpacked our items, we noticed that each container had a layer of grease on the bottom. I've visited this restaurant before and never had any issues. On previous visits, I kept it simple with crispy rice and a beer or a specialty roll. Not hard to mess those up, and it was always good. Tonight, I ordered takeout and decided to try something new. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown. The tonkotsu ramen had very little flavor, and the noodles were extremely overcooked. They were more like overcooked spaghetti than ramen. There was only one piece of pork, and it was dry. Definitely not worth the price. The seaweed salad was overly sweet and wasn't able to take more than a couple of bites. On a positive note, the spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious with a great kick of spice. We stopped by Sushiya in San Dimas for Father's Day were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside, and the interior is modern with plenty of seating. The sushi was very fresh, which is always the most important part. Our favorite was the Lemon Blossom Roll, which had great flavor and was definitely the standout. We also ordered the Dragon Roll and Firecracker Roll, and both were excellent. The Spicy Garlic Edamame was another great choice and had just the right amount of garlic and spice. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, a really solid sushi spot with fresh fish, good portions, and a comfortable atmosphere. We'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. read more

We tried this spot after moving to the area and it's already become our new favorite. Everything we had was amazing!! The udon was comforting and full of flavor, the gyoza were perfectly cooked, and the spicy edamame had just the right amount of heat. The bento box was a highlight! It was crispy, fresh, and well-balanced with great variety. On top of the food, our server was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even better. We left very impressed and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! read more

This place just opened up and let me you something...amazing quality food! This place is hands down one of my favorite sushi spots now. I will be coming back here often. I tried their shrimp crunch roll, crawfish roll, and mango spicy tuna roll and all were amazing! I can't even tell you which one was my favorite because they were all so good. Yellow carpaccio was also very delicious and fresh! You guys have to eat here you won't have any regrets! read more

we ordered some appetizers and sushi combo and soda drinks (Ramune) for kids. friendly staffs, quality foods, and good service. cheery blossom and cozy booth for my family of 4. it was very busy night and sushi combo came out little late but totally worth the time. Best sushi in the town, not just fresh but right temperature with no fishy smell. and Ankimo was really good too. Kids loved this place and definitely coming back soon!! read more

I visited Sushiya in San Dimas yesterday, and it did not disappoint! The quality of the fish was top notch.Everything was super flavorful, and the service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend trying the Salmon,Uni e.t.c-- so good! The atmosphere was casual but clean, and the portions were generous for the price. It's a great spot whether you're dining in or taking out. The food is excellent here. Everything we tried we were very pleased with. Not a big sake drinker but the one we purchased was tasty. Of all things to get at a sushi place I tried their french fries and they were great too. Service was top notch and prompt. The ambiance... felt like I was right in Osaka! Sushiya is my family' and I's absolute favorite sushi restaurant here in San Dimas. Their service is always top tier and the food is so fresh and yummy. My favorite menu item has to be the baked green muscles, if you get the opportunity to stop by you have to try it!! You can never go wrong with the rolls there as well, even the no rice rolls are amazing! 10/10 read more

Great food, fresh and clean! We tried a large variety of dishes to best sample the entire menu. All amazing! But I had 3 servings of the fried tofu, it was nice and crispy outside while very soft and silky inside. We were considering a 4th serving, so good. I plan to come again. This time ill bring my cowboy boots for the nightclub upstairs! read more

3.5/5 This was my first time coming here and when i walked in I was really impressed. It looked so pretty. We got sat and the service was really slow, our food came out one by one. this was really disappointing because while the food was good our party could not eat all together. Grabbed sushi here the other day and it totally hit the spot. The fish was so fresh it melted in my mouth. Like seriously, best sushi I've had in a while. And the staff was super nice and quick too. Def gonna be back cause for the price it can't be beat. Would rec checking it out if you're ever around - you won't be disappointed. read more
