Stopped by Sushiya and had a great experience! We ordered the popcorn crawfish, seared pepper salmon sushi, shrimp tempura roll, miso soup, and edamame, and everything was super fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality, and the restaurant itself has such a cute, cozy vibe. Customer service was great, as well. My only small critique would be the music. The loud pop hits didn't quite match the cool, moody atmosphere. I think some chill lo-fi or mellow instrumental music would fit the space so much better. Either way, we'll definitely be back!

Finally tried Sushiya and I'm honestly impressed The fish tasted super fresh, the rolls were well-balanced and everything came out looking beautiful. We ordered a mix of tempura & fresh rolls and every one was a hit. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe was chill without feeling rushed. Perfect spot for a casual sushi night or a cute lunch with friends. Definitely coming back! Already craving it again

We love this place. It does have great selections. The prices are a little high, but still good quality food we enjoy coming here the staff there are always nice and attentive and kind.. one of our favorite things to order now is the baked salmon roll the spicy tuna roll and the fried chicken cutlet with white rice! An absolute gem for sushi lovers. The standout of the meal was the chirashi bowl, which featured an impressive assortment of exceptionally fresh fish imported directly from Japan. Every bite showcased the quality and care that goes into sourcing their ingredients. Beyond the food, the service was attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive, making the entire dining experience feel effortless. Although, beware, this is one of the only sushi restaurants I've been to that doesn't offer refills on green tea. The restaurant itself strikes a perfect balance between modern and inviting, with a chic atmosphere that elevates the meal. If you're looking for top-quality seafood in a stylish setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Everything was delicious! I wanted to try a new sushi spot in the area and glad to have stumbled on Sushiya! The wait is real on a Friday night, so be sure to waitlist on Yelp before coming over. It was an hour for me, but def worth it. The salmon sushi was solid, I would order again. The rice could've been warmer but the fish was fresh and I appreciated that. The salmon avocado really hit the spot for me. Sometimes I just want something basic and this was it! I loved it. Would recommend, the salmon pieces were good too. The eel avocado roll was a bit too sauced for me. I think I'd have to ask for sauce on the side next time if I order it again. The beef teriyaki was pretty sweet and yet a bit too salty for my liking. I would pass on this next time. Although it is a decent amount of food for the cost, especially is you do the two sides and get sushi and a tuna roll like we did! The spicy pepper salmon roll was probably a favorite for me. The flavor combination was great. Love the flavor from the sear and the soy mustard. The chili crunch was a nice crunch and who doesn't love green onions?? I'd def recommend this! All in all, I would come back but I do wish they had more rolls options without imitation crab meat. Come support this business, they have their great ratings for a reason!

I stopped by for a quick lunch and can absolutely say I'll be coming back! The sushi was so fresh and delicious! Everyone was super friendly since we walked in; they greeted us and us immediately which was perfect because I was so hungry. The inside is dimly lit but very pretty and has the perfect amount of space between each table. Also, the restroom is pretty cool too; some very eclectic decorations for sure! Parking wise, there's a lot of parking available so no issue there.

We're traveling and got hungry. Saw the restaurant nearby and decided to give it a try. Good size in term of space and seating. Great food and service. Portions were great. Also price is very reasonable.

Great ambiance and unique rolls. We've never tried mango in a roll and it's our new favorite! I highly recommend the 'no rice roll' Malibu which is cucumber wrapped and so fresh and light and the Salmon mango classic roll. We came here on a Tuesday at 5pm and were seated right away. read more

We came in today and were seated right away. The food was decent overall. Unfortunately, our server seemed more focused on chatting with another table than attending to her own. We tried several times to get her attention because we wanted to order the cucumber salad, but she completely ignored us and her other tables. Another server even had to tap her on the shoulder and ended up helping several of her tables. We noticed the table she was talking with appeared to know the owner, which made it feel like they were receiving prioritized service. I have had this place bookmarked for a while now and I finally got to try it out. Sushiya is located in the San Dimas area. Came here for dinner and the service was amazing! I felt like they paid attention to their patrons and asked if we wanted anything else or needed a refill! Their rolls are massive and I think we accidentally ordered too much food but it was all tasty. This is like American-style Sushi so the rolls are thick and have many different options. My favorite item though has to be the salmon collar! They made this perfect. It was nicely fried and juicy on the inside without being dry. Loved every bite of it and was completely stuffed. I like how the inside has cherry blossoms as well, above the tables. It was super cute. read more

On Saturday 2/21/26 I joined the waitlist at 6:20pm and was worried about the long wait time because I had a hungry one year old with me. One of the waitresses heard me and said it wouldn't take that long because they're clearing off a bunch of tables. She told be 15-20 minutes so I'm like okay I'll wait. After waiting 40 minutes with a restless toddler we decided to leave. By the time we were seated at another sushi place I got a text at 7:10pm that our table was ready. She lied to me knowing I had a hungry toddler with me. She probably said that so she wouldn't lose customers, but that's not right. She should be ashamed of herself lying to customers to keep them there. We'll never go back after that. read more

There are limited booth seating (about 4 booths), one larger table, and roughly a dozen counter seats. We were a party of 4 with another group of 3 expected at the counter, so we were told next availability would be 7pm. But the owner (also the sushi/master chef) stepped in and offered to squeeze in an extra chair for us at the bar. We happily said yes, and that pretty much set the tone for the night. The ambiance is a cute, homey Japanese-style spot. It's calm and quiet enough to actually have a conversation, which I really appreciated. We ordered five items, three of which had avocado on top or outside of the rolls. Unfortunately, the avocado was very brown. While that doesn't necessarily indicate it's bad, it made the rolls look unappetizing. When we picked up our order at 5:30 PM, the staff were quite short and not as friendly as I had experienced in the past. As we unpacked our items, we noticed that each container had a layer of grease on the bottom. They were more like overcooked spaghetti than ramen. There was only one piece of pork, and it was dry. Definitely not worth the price. We tried this spot after moving to the area and it's already become our new favorite. Everything we had was amazing!! The udon was comforting and full of flavor, the gyoza were perfectly cooked, and the spicy edamame had just the right amount of heat. The bento box was a highlight! It was crispy, fresh, and well-balanced with great variety. On top of the food, our server was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even better. We left very impressed and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! read more

This place just opened up and let me you something...amazing quality food! This place is hands down one of my favorite sushi spots now. I will be coming back here often. I tried their shrimp crunch roll, crawfish roll, and mango spicy tuna roll and all were amazing! I can't even tell you which one was my favorite because they were all so good. Yellow carpaccio was also very delicious and fresh! You guys have to eat here you won't have any regrets! read more

we ordered some appetizers and sushi combo and soda drinks (Ramune) for kids. friendly staffs, quality foods, and good service. cheery blossom and cozy booth for my family of 4. it was very busy night and sushi combo came out little late but totally worth the time. Best sushi in the town, not just fresh but right temperature with no fishy smell. and Ankimo was really good too. Kids loved this place and definitely coming back soon!! read more

I visited Sushiya in San Dimas yesterday, and it did not disappoint! The quality of the fish was top notch.Everything was super flavorful, and the service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend trying the Salmon,Uni e.t.c-- so good! The atmosphere was casual but clean, and the portions were generous for the price. It's a great spot whether you're dining in or taking out. The food is excellent here. Everything we tried we were very pleased with. Not a big sake drinker but the one we purchased was tasty. Of all things to get at a sushi place I tried their french fries and they were great too. Service was top notch and prompt. The ambiance... felt like I was right in Osaka! Great food, fresh and clean! We tried a large variety of dishes to best sample the entire menu. All amazing! But I had 3 servings of the fried tofu, it was nice and crispy outside while very soft and silky inside. We were considering a 4th serving, so good. I plan to come again. This time ill bring my cowboy boots for the nightclub upstairs! read more

3.5/5 This was my first time coming here and when i walked in I was really impressed. It looked so pretty. We got sat and the service was really slow, our food came out one by one. this was really disappointing because while the food was good our party could not eat all together. Grabbed sushi here the other day and it totally hit the spot. The fish was so fresh it melted in my mouth. Like seriously, best sushi I've had in a while. And the staff was super nice and quick too. Def gonna be back cause for the price it can't be beat. Would rec checking it out if you're ever around - you won't be disappointed. read more

Love this place they know us already since we frequent it as our go to sushi spot, the dine in option is the way to go because the service is just as good as the food! The only hiccup is when I have ordered to go, sometimes my order is wrong, but even with that everything I've ever had there is yummy! read more
