I've been addicted to Ramen and Baos lately! So I usually try every single place I find. This place wasn't busy at all so I was able to place my order pretty quickly and decided to try their set of Ramen+bao. I requested no scallions...the attendant said: ok. He would barely look at my face, not a smile, nothing whatsoever (and i totally get it that sometimes you're not in a good day, but it's not the customers fault!!) anyways...when my food came out, there was scallions. Ok not a problem! I just took them out myself, but then i wanted to ask for some soy sauce, or some salt, any sort of spices and there was literally no one that could help. The attendant that got my order had left to do something else, and who actually brought my food out was the cook. So i felt bad asking him for stuff, since he looked busy. Meanwhile, there were three people waiting in line to place their order for a few minutes before the cook came out and helped them. So i just really think the service could've been better, anyways their ramen was very ok, and the bao was pretty good :) read more

Bao is like a Korean slider in a pillowy bao bun; Suzy's has several to choose from. Hubs and I went with the Korean BBQ and pork belly. The BBQ was good, but the pork belly bao was worth a special trip. Also tried the Korean Street corn. Grilled buttery corn on the cob sprinkled with magic Korean chili dust for a spicy bite on the end. Don't pass it up. $10 gets you a choice of 2 bao and a side. Located in Krog Street Market, Suzy offers counter service with a few seats. Service was friendly and quick; I'm thinking about how soon I can get back to try the rest of the bao line up. read more

This spot is located in Krog Street Market next to Jeni's in the corner. They specialize in asian baos but also have sides. You can order individual baos for $4 each or 3 for $11. You can also get a combo which is 3 baos + 1 side for $13. We all decided to get the combo so we could try different things. We tried the pork belly, beef brisket, korean fried chicken, and shrimp patty baos. For our sides, we got the Korean street corn, ma po tofu fries, and kimchi. The overwhelming favorite bao was the pork belly while the others were just average and a little pricey for what you get. The best side was the ma po tofu fries which were fries with a "poutine" style as the tofu was mashed to be the "sauce" and the ground meat also was topped on the fries. The street corn was just corn on the cob with a little of seasoning so nothing too special. Overall, thought the place was OK but a little pricey for the quality. read more

Suzy Sui's Baos is located in Krog Street Market right next to Jeni's Ice Cream. I went on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. I got a set of three baos and a side (came out to $12). I ordered their Korean BBQ beef, pork belly, and their kimchi fritters. The Korean BBQ beef comes with juicy marinated kalbi, scallion salad cucumbers, hoisin and cilantro. The pork belly comes with locally-sourced pork, pickled red onions, pecan sugar (YES) and cilantro. Their kimchi fritters are like hush puppies, but made with kimchi, corn and sweet potatoes. They are so tasty! I could have probably ate more, but three were enough to leave me feeling full. They were warm and the meat was cooked perfectly. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything related to pork belly. Out of the ones I tried, the pork belly baos were my favorite. The kimchi fritters are a little spicy, but taste really good with the creamy, orange sauce that comes with it. read more

It was something I never tried before and the pork belly bao was good! Tender and flavorful. The dough itself is really good and soft. The Korean fried chicken was not the best, the chicken was fried perfectly but too much sauce that was over powering. It's still worth a try, especially that pork belly bao. read more

I would totally recommend this place to anyone who loves Asian baos. The stall is located inside Krog Market (there are other establishments as well) and it has a really nice decor. Decent bao with a mix of classics and homemade recipes. Seating is extremely limited due to the set-up in the market, and the wait to receive your order is, at times, painfully long, but the end result is worth it. Wouldn't say they're the best bao I've ever had, but for the limited options available in Atlanta it's admirably serviceable. Probably wouldn't go out of my away again to get it but would grab some if I happened to be in the Beltline in the vicinity of the market. read more

I visited Krog St Market for the first time last night with some friends in town. We shared food from a variety of great vendors in KSM, but Suzy Siu's stole the show. After a long 5 mile walk on the Beltline, my friends and I decided to stop by and re-energize! I ordered the 3 baos+ a side meal. They have 3 meat options: Korean BBQ Beef, Korean Fried Chicken, and Pork Belly. I got all three meat options because I wanted to have a taste of all of them! For my side, I chose the pineapple apple kimchi. I paid $14 for my meal which isn't bad. Out of the three baos, I liked the Korean fried chicken one the best. I felt like something was missing though with the fried chicken but the meat was tender and it had a nice spice. The Korean BBQ beef was good too but it did not have as much flavor as I wanted. The pork belly was super thick and tender but since I am not the biggest fan of pork belly, I didn't enjoy eating the fatty portions of the pork belly. Though I can see pork belly lovers going crazy over this. The pineapple apple kimchi was really nice because it helped cut through the fattiness of the meats and it was just super refreshing! Overall, I think I will eat here again but I wouldn't say it is the best bao that I have eaten. read more

Man oh man! I love Makan's buns. So now I can get these same tasty buns closer to home. Thank you! I ordered the pork belly and fried chicken buns. And a side of the sweet potato salad. The pork belly bun is seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten. I could eat them every day. The fried chicken was OK. But I think I will stick to the pork belly. The potato salad was OK, but nothing to write home about. At KSM, a combo order of Suzy Siu's Baos and an order of Gu's Dumplings would be so great. A friend tried this but the line at Gu's was crazy. The line at Suzy Siu's was quite reasonable and we got our food very quickly. Will definitely revisit. read more

Really good baos here. I was pleasantly surprised and it was my first time visiting Krog Street Market. I got chicken and steak baos with a side of the fries. I really liked them and I would love to come back, but it's so difficult to park in KSM. Otherwise I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Loved the service and the food here! Despite the wait (we went on a Friday night, so it's expected), the food was delicious. I may even have had a dream about them later. Our group sampled all the baos you could imagine: pork belly, Korean fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, and the veggie! All were divine. We tried the pork and shrimp dumplings (by far my favorite side), kimchi fritters (Heavenly balls of joy), and the street corn (on the cob). This is one of the newest places (nov '16) at KSM. I've been looking forward to more options there as I work across the street. The menu is simple with two columns - bao and sides. If you don't know what bao is, google it. They are typically very good and these don't disappoint. I had the pork and the fried chicken. I recommend the pork 100% - it was incredible. Okay lemme tell y'all about Miss Suzy. That lady knows how to make some Bao's!!!! Seriously though, I've come here 4 times back to back all week, at this point they need a rewards program so I can eat here guilt free! Now mind you, the real gem here are the employees! Front and back of house staff absolutely incredible.(tbh I come half for the food, half because of the service!) Ben was my cashier for a couple of days I came lol I loved him! So sweet! And Miya the chef came out to speak to me on multiple occasions even remembered me once I came back today. Very rarely do you find an authentic cultural place that ALSO happens to make great food, that ALSO has great staff!!! Give them a raise NEOW! Truly a 10/10 experience every time..... I've never had bao so I was very curious as to how it would taste. I was impressed. The bun was so soft. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I wish I would've gotten one of each type of bao. I got the Korean fried chicken and Korean BBQ. Both very delicious. I also got the fries which were so so good you wouldn't even know that there was tofu served with them. The food here is really good on the right day and I've ordered at least 30 times but sometimes the Baos are not dressed properly or sauce is minimal or absent. They often open at different times (later) they don't have a phone and run out of things all the time. The reason I'm still giving them 4 stars is when the food and staff have it together it's amazing. read more

Mapo fries. Fries with tofu. Doesn't matter what you call it, it didn't sound appealing to me. Until I saw a customer devouring an order at the counter of Suzy Sui's Baos. I walked to the cashier and said "whatever he's having. i'll have that." After I receiving my receipt for my order I asked the helpful cashier what I ordered. She laughed and told me "Mapo fries or fries with tofu." My heart sank. TOFU? EWWWWW. The cashier tried to tell me the other ingredients the fries are topped with but after tofu, I stopped listening. It was probably for the best. My order came out steaming hot. I took my fries and took a seat. I was very skeptical but after one bite I understood why the other patron was inhaling them. They are delicious. Spicy (very spice) and delicious! The fries were cooked perfectly and the toppings were on every fry just as it is supposed to be! So I'll be back to order my Mapo fries/fries with tofu. Suzy Siu knows what I mean. read more

I love this place!!! I usually get the 2 baos with a side and go with the Mapo Tofu fries. The fries are crispy enough to not get too soggy under the mapo tofu. The baos are so so soft! I usually order the fried chicken (either spicy or not, both are good) but there are other great baos as well. I've also tried their ramen and the broth is OUTSTANDING!!! read more

This was the first time for my husband and I in trying this place. It was pretty great and super reasonably priced! We ordered the pork belly bao, the pork carnitas bao, and the friend green tomato bao. We also got a side of mapo tofu fries. Service was quick and efficient. I didn't have the pork belly bao but my husband devoured it. He loved it. I had the pork carnitas and the friend green tomato bao. The pork carnita was well seasoned and cooked well. There was plenty of carnitas in the bao which I appreciate it. I was a little disappointed with the fried green tomato bao. It had one tomato inside which was fine but not kind of sauce or maybe a little bit of cheese which I would expect with a fried green tomato. The tofu fries were delicious but a little deceiving. They are regular fries with tofu on top. We thought they were actual tofu fries. Still, I would absolutely order them again! Overall, great little place to get your bao fix! read more

Earlier this evening I had an awful interaction with the manager/owner. At around 7:30 I approached the counter and no one was up front. I noticed the manager in the kitchen and asked if they were still open (7:30 is too early for a business serving dinner to close right??). He responded saying "we are closed." I then asked if they normally close this early and he abruptly said "we are closed," then walked to the back and proceeded to ignore me. I'm sorry but if you are going to be this rude to customers then I see no reason for you to be in business in a prime/high traffic area. I asked the young girl next door at Jenni's if this is a common occurrence and she suggested that they've experienced problems with their unruly neighbor and strongly suggested I eat somewhere else (must be some history here). I used to frequent this location as the food was fantastic but will no longer do so. Unless the owner has a serious attitude adjustment and learns how to hold standard business hours AND treat customers with respect, then I will not be going back. read more

The baos are delicious. We had the bbq beef and the pork belly and they were really good. Their ramen is not so good. The tonkotsu broth tastes like butter and the noodles taste like mac and cheese. The shio is meh, nothing extraordinary. Go for the baos. They should get out of the ramen game. Also service is a tad slow. read more

Excellent northern Chinese style Baos at Suzy Siu's. The pork belly Bao is their signature and the meat is perfect and fatty with a great soy / sweet taste. They sprinkle some Asian pickles for a great combination of sour salty and sweet. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu read more

I had been meaning to try this place ever since it opened but constantly have been distracted by other Krog offerings. Ordered the six pack of baos last night (one of each type) along with some of the street fries and had a decent experience. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could because I think the food was pretty good and different but it all seemed a little overhyped. It's pricey and the baos, while tasty (especially pork belly and BBQ one), don't come with any sauce or special flavoring in my opinion. You also need a lot of these to fill up (I'd recommend at least 3 if you are a little hungry). Also took longer than I expected at a time that didn't seem very busy (about 20 min) for the baos and street corn. Speaking of, the corn was very delicious and different than other street corn I've had. Some one next to me got the tofu mapu fries and they looked delicious too. If in the mood for something different and too hungry I'd try this again. read more

The pork belly buns were the best! They're a little expensive for baozi but I grew up in an area where they were pretty accessible. My group bought two boxes to share, one full of pork belly and the other with one of each to try.
