We tried the papaya salad, massamum curry, chicken pad Thai, veggie stir fried noodles, pad see ew, and sticky rice with mango. The papaya salad had a strong aroma of fish sauce but was very fresh and tasty. The massamum curry could only be ordered with beef- it was very dry. Kind of disappointing. The other dishes were good. I honestly don't know why this restaurant has such good reviews. The food is sub par at best. I asked for Thai hot and all I can taste was chili, and not much flavor. The waitress told me yeah that's what Thai hot is. This is not my first time eating Thai so I know what is Thai hot and this is definitely not it. They remade my dish to medium and it was not spicy at all and too salty. Our food came pretty quick but they forgot our drinks. Will I come back? Probably not. read more

One of the better Thai restaurants here in Flagstaff! On the "Goldilocks" scale of Thai restaurants, this one fits right there in the middle -- the food is always great and the service has always been impeccable. The generic Asian decor leaves nothing to be desired in reference to the restaurant's overall ambiance. However, the food leaves quite the opposite impression! They offer a wide variety of delicious dishes but you can never go wrong with Thai staples like the Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Pad See Ew, or the Tom Ka. All of their curries have been equally as delicious! Prices are also very reasonable considering how much food they give you. In most cases, I always have to take home leftovers! Ordered the lunch special -- G. Pad See Iew Lunch Special. Order was fulfilled quickly and handed over in a large paper bag with all the needed condiments. The styrofoam container was not strong enough and began to crack open when lifting the container out of the paper bag, the amount of noodles was quite generous. The noodles were so soft and mushy it was virtually impossible to extract a single noodle intact using chopsticks. A spoon would have been a better choice. The entrée sat in a pool of clear water. Either there was enough heat and steam evolved in the closed container, such that the water came from the condensation...or...the noodles had been sitting for a while bathing in a chafing dish and a fair amount of water was ladled up with the noodles and into the to go container. I am thinking the latter because the water had also filled the compartment where the spring roll sat atop drenched lettuce. The spring roll had turned to goo on the underside. As you can see from the accompanying photo the broccoli was discolored and soft, the carrots were soft and overcooked as well. I cut my losses and tossed the whole mess. read more

We ordered too go using their website and the food was ready when we arrived. Between the Thai eggplant (with pork) and the panang curry (with chicken) the eggplant was the star of the show. Heat options went from 1-5 and we selected 2 which was on the mild side. Ironically the eggplant could have used more eggplant, it was a Saturday night so perhaps they were running a little short, but they made up for it with more meat. I was recently in Flagstaff on business and - after the long drive up from Phoenix - was super hungry but not really in the mood to go out for dinner. So I jumped on Yelp and found Swaddee located not far from my hotel. I order Pad See Ew and Tom Yum Gai soup to go and drove down to Flag's adorable downtown to pick it up about half an hour later. Parking is a challenge here, but I did find a spot in a bank lot nearby. The restaurant was busy on a Friday night, so I had to wait a few extra minutes for my order. Finally it was ready and I had a hard time not digging in during the drive back to the hotel - it smelled amazing. I hurried back to my room and dove into the soup and then the noodles. The soup was a little on the sweet side but still satisfied my need for spice and coconut milk. The noodles were thick, chewy, and perfectly prepared. The dish was absolutely delicious. In fact, I enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast the next day. This spot is definitely worth a visit (or take-out) on a trip to Flag! read more

Ona recent trip to flagstaff we ordered takeout one of the nights. We palaces our order and within 20 minutes it was ready for pick up. We ordered pad Thai, goddess curry with chicken and no spice, and glass noodles with shrimp. Everything was packaged well and was still warm when we got back to our air bnb. The prices are pretty high, but that is expected with thai food. It is 100% worth the cost. I get the chicken pad thai and my girlfriend gets the yellow curry. Both dishes are amazing and we would go here on date nights every time. The thai tea is a bit sweet in my opinion but that is common. The hot tea is delicious and goes nicely with our meals. One of our favorite parts of the meal is dessert. I typically do not get dessert when eating thai food but we DREAM about their sticky rice and thai custard. It is incredible. I really love Thai curry and I'm glad they had different levels of spiciness: 1, 2 or 3. 2 is mildly spicy but if you really like spicy the 3 three is what you want; don't expect Burning Hot though. The curry was delicious however it seemed to be missing something in my opinion... a spice... pandan perhaps? It was also slightly more liquid than I'm used to. It definitely had a lot of flavor though. I think the one thing this place is really lacking which would be a big improve is sticky rice for the curries. They add so much flavor and is great for a coconut based Thai curry. The servers were very pleasant but it was very crowded and we had to wait about 45 min. You may want to go before you get hungry to put your name in and walk around as there is no waiting area in the restaurant. If it's cold out bring a jacket to wait outside... other options... reservations? All in all it was decently quick despite how busy it was so service gets 5 stars and food 4 stars.
