This place is fire! Let's start with service: Celine was so kind and so helpful with making decisions since obviously I can never make one! She was efficient and always wore a beautiful smile I enjoyed sitting outdoors even though it was chilly outside. They hat heaters and it took the chill out of the air. The food!!!! So amazing!!!! I can never decide between savory and sweet so I ordered the best of Carlsbad omelette with rye toast, fruit cup, and 1 blackberry banana pancake My husband ordered the California wrap with cottage cheese for his side. Very delicious and so cool that they serve both breakfast and lunch ALL day Our daughter had to have a waffle of course.... Her fave! She went with the oranges cranberry waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon. The waffle was legit the best waffle I've ever tried. Our son tried the south of the border scrambler and was very impressed because he doesn't really care for chorizo but he thought it was 10 out of 10. Fresh juices were delicious as well as the pitaya and watermelon mimosas. Can't wait to return

Potatoes are large you get about 25 potatoes and little spoon of chorizo like 2 tbsp , 3 eggs with a tablespoon of cheese so if you like a sack of potatoes this plate is for you there was minimal chorizo on the plate. I won't order this plate again. Service was not that good we didn't get our coffee and there was 2 dogs inside laying on the ground so we couldn't even leave with out not trying to jump over dogs to get to our car. The male Hispanic server is good it's the female that just isn't at Par very forgetful I had to ask for napkins and my husbands coffee 2xs . He didn't even get the coffee until he was finished with his meal and by then he drank my water not cool .

What a great spot! There's street parking everywhere. Staff was kind. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Beach is so close. We had the orange strawberry waffle which was great. Thick waffle, a bit dry but still great. Nothing too special in my opinion. Same thing with the burger it was great but nothing too exciting. The smoothie was really good! There was bee pollen as a topping I enjoyed. Overall it's a nice place for breakfast but nothing too special for the food. We could've just ordered the wrong thing but still enjoyed it.

Out of all the Swami's in North County, the Carlsbad location is my absolute favorite. The food here is a real treat and has that home made taste. I've never been disappointed with the food quality from this location. Portions are more than generous for the price point. There is definitely something for everyone on the menu, including gluten free and vegetarian options. I highly recommend trying a fresh squeezed juice or smoothie. Staff here is always welcoming and friendly! Chill atmosphere that goes along with being on the coast. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant or off street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Come on out and give them a try.

Swami's Cafe delivers where it matters most: on the plate. The ingredients taste fresh and intentional, especially the fruit--ripe, vibrant, and clearly prepped that morning, not an afterthought garnish. The steak and eggs are the standout. The steak is cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and well-seasoned with a clean, savory crust that doesn't overpower the meat. The eggs are done right, with rich yolks that add body to every bite. Paired together, it's that rare breakfast that feels both indulgent and balanced. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and everything arrives hot and properly timed. The flavors are clean, simple, and confident--no gimmicks, just solid execution. Add fresh food, friendly service, and a relaxed, beach-adjacent setting, and this is a place that earns repeat visits.

Came here before heading to the Flower Fields. Food was great. It's a chill spot. We loved the Garlic Chicken Omelette and Berry Pancakes. Mango smoothie was ok. The watermelon juice, I did not like. It was not cold. A bit on the room temp side, which made it not as refreshing as you would expect. Just tasted like it's been sitting out. Our server was nice and polite, but forgot our drinks. Which meant our food coming before our drinks. One of the drinks came after we asked for it...they forgot about it.

First time trying this location. Coffee came quickly and refills were plentiful. I enjoyed the patio - mostly shaded and music wasn't too loud. Breakfast was tasty and filling.

Location and service here was excellent. We sat outside, which is right on the road, but not too loud. Server was fabulous. I had a breakfast burrito and which was huge. I had to save half for later. Good quality. Lots of breakfast potatoes on the side. The group had pancakes and loved them also.

Yes. At least the outdoor patio area is.

Will you be open on Thanksgiving morning?

Yes, Well is after Thanksgiving and I was there this morning Friday after Thanksgiving and they said the only day they close is Christmas

Can you please tell me if they serve, gluten-free pancakes, waffles, or GF French toast?

Do they serve, gluten-free pancakes, waffles, or gluten, free French toast?

Yes, not sure about the French toast, but they have gluten-free bread so I don't see why not, they have a great menu. You could probably see it online.

I tried one of their summer specials, an Iced Banana Maple Latte with soy milk. I loved how bold and intense the flavor of the coffee was without it being overwhelming; however, I did not taste the banana or maple flavors at all. It just tasted like a straight up sweetened iced latte. Don't get me wrong, it's a great latte. But I guess I was just expecting to get more of the banana and maple flavors, especially since I was pretty excited about that flavor combination. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the ambiance was great. I love that they have their roasting machine right where people can observe and watch the process if they wanted to. They have ample tables and chairs indoor, and a few outdoor as well. I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back here. I'll probably try the Caramel Cream Latte next time.

It's easier for them and easier for us - they can count how many people are coming & you don't have to worry about waiting an hour. Vibes are great. Food is lovely (though expensive!). My fave dish was the amazing summer porridge. Sure it's $32 for the dish - but this is a Michelin-quality place (Bib Gourmand, not a star) so not for every day and it was delicious. Basically like a risotto, ate every grain. Check out the gorgeous pic! People are high on the Turkish eggs - but I thought they were meh, and tiny for $23. Not one of the best values here, IMHO. We wanted to try the vaunted French toast, but they had run out by the time of our reservation. On the recommendation of our server & my friend Jiansen in his review here, we also ordered the Pistachio Bread Pudding. It was beautiful, tasty, light and photo worthy! And also on Jiansen's rec, I tried the jasper, which was like a cold coffee mocktail on the rocks (steady state coffee. cherry. chaga. vanilla. rose vinegar. lemon). Tasty and interesting! We really liked the vibes too. They take reservations for 1:30 pm, though they're closing technically at 2. The manager (whose name I am forgetting - but he is from Philly and super nice!) told us "they don't close" and we could sit and enjoy & not be in their way while they closed up, but a few of the other staff members seemed to be wanting us to leave. So keep that in mind if you get one of the last reservations; lingering with a friend might be a bit challenging. But we had a great time, and I especially enjoyed the summer porridge. I'll definitely come again (and know I should make a reservation) - but it's probably better to come earlier before they run out of anything & before we're in their way while they're cleaning up! Oh - and parking can be a real challenge. Come early and check out the side streets!
