My mom said the orange chicken was better than Panda Express! Service was amazing and the worker gave us a free chocolate croissant which was so crispy. She explained that they use organic when they are able to which is amazing! Upon the food we ordered the most refreshing drinks (Iced Hong Kong coffee Milk Tea, Iced Raspberry Black Tea, and Plantation Iced Tea). This is a cute little restaurant hidden in Halawa Valley near Menehune Water Company. First of all, as soon as I called, Chelsea answered and was extremely helpful, patient, accommodating, and energetic. Being that I had a lot of questions on their entrees/drinks, she even sent me a link of their updated menu and kindly offered to go over any questions. When the food was ready to be picked up, she texted to let me know I could come down in 5-10 minutes. As soon as I arrived, she pleasantly greeted us and showed us their cute dining-in area, should we ever wish to dine-in. Food is also great! They use avocado oil and healthy ingredients. My husband and I really loved the roast chicken!! Now I can see why that entree is number 2 most ordered on the menu. Next time I will try the ribs which is number 3. The plantation iced tea and shaken espresso were also yummy! Although we even bought the chocolate croissants and Portuguese Sausage tarts, we were just too full to even take a bite. I learned about Sweet Corner Cafe from Misty's foodie vlog, Food Fiend, on YouTube. I tried the waffle, homemade fried noodles, fried rice, homemade gyoza, poke bowl, chocolate croissant, spring rolls, and Portuguese tarts. Everything was delicious. I ordered online and all my food was fresh and made to order. I went on a weekend so street parking was a breeze and in close proximity to the cafe. Suggest you park outside on the street. Minimal menu because they only opened a month ago. The gyoza with fried noodles is tasty. The fried rice with orange chicken was okay. The bubble waffles needs to be dressed up more with fresh fruits. The fruit tea drinks are delicious. The pizza taste like Costco cheese pizza with added pepperoni and American cheese. AMAZING customer service, Chelsea was so sweet and welcoming. We tried the beef gyoza and roasted chicken, both with noodles. One entree with noodles is truly enough for two people to share, we brought home plenty of leftovers! With that in mind the prices are very reasonable. The food was really good and tasted fresh. We also tried several drinks and enjoyed them all...the pink lemonade, plantation tea, iced matcha latte, and one other Chelsea made for me to try (I can't recall the name!). Definitely recommend ordering a drink with your meal, very refreshing and not overwhelmingly sweet. Aaaand dessert haha, the tarts are SO GOOD. Even after our drive home they were flaky and still warm. The location is a little out of the way, but that just means you don't have to fight traffic :) They are set up to be a mostly takeout style restaurant, but do have a couple small tables to sit and eat, which we did. In a world lacking customer service, this place brings hope to the restaurant community. Although it does take a minute to find the place, the welcoming smile on Chelsea's face makes it more than worth it. As she escorts you to your table she takes heart warming effort to learn your name and engage in conversation with you. All the food served here is incredible which you can tell just by how the food is presented. Chelsea does a great job of explaining the items on the menu including many of the health benefits. All the ingredients are locally sourced and many are organic. The homemade noodles are especially delicious. As my family and I got to know Chelsea better, it made me want to visit Hawaii again just to be able to visit her. She brought out a complimentary desert for us just because the ribs I had ordered took a few extra minutes to cook. After our meal she brought out drinks for the kids on the house and gave us all hugs as we left. I would most definitely recommend this place as you will not be disappointed. read more
