So I was supposed to had done this review two weeks ago when I first visited. I've since doubled back with my family. The first time admittedly I couldn't find the place. It's a little tucked in. You park on the street and there's this building across from menehune with a long driveway that goes downhill. You walk down that path past the Christian basketball, there's a set of stairs to the left, take those and enter the door to your left at the bottom of the stairs. From there you can follow the hallway until you get to the cafe. Very small place ran by a remarkably nice woman and her mother. They have coffee and other drinks so I asked what was the best one. I got the caramel macchiato and it was so good I ordered a second. I had the ribs and fried rice...FIRE! I'm talkin HEALTHY sized ribs with a lot of meat on em and sauced to perfection and the fried rice was money! She even tossed in a freshly baked croissant with chocolate drizzle. MY GOODNESS! So delicious! Fast forward I came back with my wife and son. I had the chai latte and put my wife onto the caramel macchiato, Chai latte was amazing as well! So this place makes their own Gyoza and fried noodle from scratch so this time we got those and the chicken and bubble waffle. Yeah you heard me, bubble waffle. Paired with the sauces it was delicious! Lastly, I'm just going to outright tell you to order the Portuguese tart. I took a bite and ascended. It was perfection. Not too sweet. The crust was flaky and buttery, I'm drooling as I'm writing this . Highly recommend this spot it is really small but the food and drinks are amazing. Never done a review before but I had to for this cafe. First off, I wanted to thank Chelsea for the AMAZING customer service. She is the sweetest and was so considerate of my needs! I almost have no words for how good of a dining experience I had. Unfortunately, I had just eaten and was just looking for a quiet place to do work, so I wasn't able to try any of the food. However, Chelsea went through the whole menu with me, explaining what was gluten free, organic, vegetarian, etc., so I'm definitely coming back to try the food! I did get myself a butterfly pea tea lemonade, which was super refreshing and in a really cute baggie cup! bc In terms of atmosphere, this was probably the first time I was able to do work outside of my house without headphones. Not sure what is better, the food or the service. Both are exceptional. They try and use organic when possible, fry in avocado oil (for the lightest crunchiest tempura you could ever want) and the sauces are not too sweet and just right. This small community oriented business is tucked away but extremely worth it. Immediately when we walked in Chelsea who was our wonderful server, enthusiastically greeted us and kept up that positive attitude the entire visit! Ordering online was very easy and service was very quick! We got the bubble waffle, orange chicken with fried rice, and pineapple sausage with egg. Portions are huge and the food was delicious! My mom said the orange chicken was better than Panda Express! Service was amazing and the worker gave us a free chocolate croissant which was so crispy. She explained that they use organic when they are able to which is amazing! This is a cute little restaurant hidden in Halawa Valley near Menehune Water Company. First of all, as soon as I called, Chelsea answered and was extremely helpful, patient, accommodating, and energetic. Being that I had a lot of questions on their entrees/drinks, she even sent me a link of their updated menu and kindly offered to go over any questions. When the food was ready to be picked up, she texted to let me know I could come down in 5-10 minutes. As soon as I arrived, she pleasantly greeted us and showed us their cute dining-in area, should we ever wish to dine-in. Food is also great! They use avocado oil and healthy ingredients. My husband and I really loved the roast chicken!! Now I can see why that entree is number 2 most ordered on the menu. Next time I will try the ribs which is number 3. The plantation iced tea and shaken espresso were also yummy! Although we even bought the chocolate croissants and Portuguese Sausage tarts, we were just too full to even take a bite. I learned about Sweet Corner Cafe from Misty's foodie vlog, Food Fiend, on YouTube. I tried the waffle, homemade fried noodles, fried rice, homemade gyoza, poke bowl, chocolate croissant, spring rolls, and Portuguese tarts. Everything was delicious. I ordered online and all my food was fresh and made to order. I went on a weekend so street parking was a breeze and in close proximity to the cafe. The hostess, Chelsea, made me feel welcomed and at ease. She even gave me four complimentary sweet peach teas with my order. I will definitely be going back soon. Great overall experience.
