I came here Sep 2024, and I still haven't forgotten Sweet E's! My partner at the time got the extreme mess, and it was soooooo good that we had to come back again the next day! I got the French toast the first day, and that was amazing as well! The servers and employees are all so kind, and it was so cute inside the cafe! There's pictures lined all around the restaurant of I'm assuming all the loved ones! Coffee was soooo good and so was the pineapple juice! Con: after I went in to put our name on the waitlist, we were walking out the door and still on the walkway when I got hit on the leg with a passenger who opened their car door as I was passing. The car was parked next to the walkway. The door scraped skin at my shin and knocked me off a step to the side. Luckily I stayed upright. (I actually am scheduled for a hip replacement in a few months.) the passenger was mainly at fault, but I feel it's unsafe to have a parking space right next to the main door walkway without some kind of safety buffer. read more

Servers all share responsibility of the whole cafe and we were checked on by at least 4/5 different servers within just the first ten minutes of service. Food came out fast and tasted great. We came here on a Sunday at around 8 am. The lot was full, so we had to park down the street. We put our name down and were called quickly which was surprising. I got the corned beef hash. It was a little salty, and there was a harsh garlic powder taste that was weird. It was almost like the garlic powder had poured into the mix too fast and spilled. My girlfriend got the kalua pork benedict. The first thing she noticed was that the eggs were cold. Like, cold to the touch and the tongue. It seemed like the eggs were poached in advance and resting in the fridge. The warm hollandaise was cool and the overall combination was unpleasant. The kalua pig tasted a lot like liquid smoke and it was probably one of the worst benedicts we've had to be honest. The potatoes were okay, but she didn't even finish half of it. On the plus side, the stuffed blueberry French toast was a winner. That is what this place is known for I'd recommend that order over anything savory at this point. When we got our bill they had charged us incorrectly for our French toast; charging us for a 3-piece when we ordered a single. There was no argument, but we sent the bill back for the adjustment and it came. The service was really good and our coffee and water never ran dry. Comfort food at its best. At the table we had the blueberry cream cheese French toast, buttermilk pancakes with Portuguese sausage, kalua pork eggs benedict, and the Extreme Mess. The pancakes came in a stack of 3 and were enormous. They took up the whole plate, and were buttery and delicious. The kalua pork on the benedict was so flavorful. I had it with the fried rice as my side and I think I liked that even more. The French toast was also a winner. Get it with the fresh fruit on top and you won't regret it. This is one of our must go to stops whenever we're on Oahu. The breakfast here has always been super good and fast to be on your table. The menu is full of great choices for a very filling breakfast and the only issue is the small parking lot but that can easily be remedied by a parking meter spot nearby. In all the years we've been coming here the food is always been consistently good and especially the service. The guys that take care of the tables are always checking on you and your coffee never goes dry because they keep an eye on everything. I've always been impressed with that. In particular, we really like the guy with the Mohawk. He's very attentive, very friendly and seems to really like his job and that makes our experience even that much better. read more

We placed our names on a waiting list inside and had about a 25 min wait outside. There was some shade and a few benches to sit on while we waited. The inside of the restaurant had outdoor seating, in addition to the indoor seating. Service is excellent and the food was amazing. Everyone was really nice. The menu had so many choices that looked good. We ordered a corned beef hash eggs Benedict and shared it. We also ordered our own omelette s but can't remember which ones. First time at this establishment. This place was away from the busy tourist area of Waikiki and therefore we had to take an Uber to get here. It seems that there were a number of locals that come here. We got here a little after 8am and already there were a number of people inside, however, we were seated right away. We ordered the Everyday Breakfast with poached eggs, Portuguese sausage, hashed browns; the Eggs Benedict with corned beef hash, an order of buttermilk pancake, a side order of papaya, and two cups of coffee. Everything was very good including the coffee. The papaya unfortunately was not ripe and a bit hard, but other than that we enjoyed our meal. The service was prompt and the food was delivered to our table very quickly. The parking lot is small, but looked like there were spaces for the guests. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the tourist section of Waikiki. Also, Leonard's Bakery is across the street and you can stop in for some malasadas. read more

I waited inside for our order and it's very simple and cute inside. There's a lot of family pictures on the walls. It was very busy inside and a lot of people were outside waiting to get seated. The wait seemed short. We had the breakfast burrito and the "extreme mess." The breakfast burrito was packed with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. It also had cheddar cheese, some peppers and tomatoes. It comes with a side of salsa. It was great! I would get it again. "The Extreme Mess" was a large portion and a great option for sharing. My all time favorite brunch spot. Sweet E's embodies what all brunch places should be: cozy and delicious. This is an everyday, 7am-2pm breaky-lunch spot. There are no reservations and wait times can be for 30 minutes - 1 hour at peak times on the weekend. But a wait is no reason to not stop by here. I'll usually drop by with friends on a weekday for brunch and will wait 30 minutes tops for a table, not bad! Parking: minimal in the front. But there is street parking along the sides of the road. I love this place so much that even if there isn't parking in the front or on the street, I'll park at the shopping center that's a 5 min walk away. Food: AHHH I get a delicious meal every time. I order an everyday breakfast basically every brunch place I go, but this places corned beef hash and hash browns is hands down a favorite. Tried out a kalua pork Benedict that had a creamy hollandaise, a definite order again. Also have tried their pancakes plenty of times here and loved it... but today was the first time trying their French toast! STUFFED blueberries and cream cheese French toast?! It was the perfect bite of sweet and crispy! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Service is perfect every time I go. The staff are just so casual and welcoming. Last visit I had, I brought Prosecco to make mimosas with a friend and they brought me an ice bucket without me asking. We went here for the first time based on recommendations by friends. The food was decently priced. The staff was friendly. We went early therefore avoided the rush. The food was good. They forgot some of our items, but they were gracious enough to bring them at the end free of charge. We were very thankful. Our surprise came from the automatic 18% gratuity although we were not a table of 6, but a table of 5. Our waiter was friendly but not attentive. They did not check to see if we needed anything else. I don't know how I feel about the automatic 18% gratuity on a table that was not 6 or more. I think this was definitely something that will deter us from returning. read more

I had driven by this place many times and seen the crowded parking lot and people waiting outside, so I had to stop by and check it out. I arrived right when they opened, as I'm not a big fan of crowds, and I was greeted by the friendliest employee who asked if I wanted to sit inside or on the patio. I chose inside, and it was very clean, cozy and comfy. The service continued to be very friendly and attentive throughout my meal, no matter which employee I interacted with. I decided on the French toast, as I had read that's one of their specialties. I also got hash browns and 2 eggs sunny side up. The French toast was thinner than I had expected it to be, but it was still very good. I like my hash browns extra crispy and they nailed it! And the egg was cooked to my liking and preference. The service here is amazing! They seem to work in a team system so don't be surprised if multiple people are helping you. Because this place is so good there can be a long wait time around peak hours(8am-11am). I'd recommend coming early or waiting till the rush kinder calms down if you don't want to wait 20-30min to get seated. They have a small parking lot that holds maybe 8 cars so don't be surprised if you have to circle around or look for street parking. BYOB establishment! No need to spend crazy money on mimosas when you can bring in your own champagne and order various juices there. It can get a little noisy inside, so not an ideal place if you're looking for something intimate, but frankly that's one of the things I love about Sweet Es. It's a somewhat casual spot that's a perfect place for breakfast w the gals, family, or your significant other...shoot I even see solo diners eating here!!
