SWEET LEBAN is family-owned hidden gem located on Honolulu in Montrose/Glendale area. My wife & I went into this bakery yesterday. Everything looked and tasted fresh, well-displayed, and perfectly balanced, less-sweet pastries. They have delicious treats without overpowering sweetness such as Knefe B Jebne and Ma'amoul. If you are craving for middle Eastern pastry/treats, scratch the other stores from your list. This is the authentic one. I'll give it a Five Star. read more

It seems like this place is NEVER open. I wanted to buy some Baklava, but according to Yelp, this place is only open when the owners feel like being open. It's a shame because I love Middle Eastern Desserts. I guess I'll just have to occasionally check when they are open. read more

This is one cute Middle Eastern pastry shop. I only found this place on accident when I was planning on gifting my friend and his whole family delicious sweets. They have huge selections of sweets all prepackaged in small, medium, and large boxes for a reasonable price. You can't go wrong with the Baklava variety packs. This place in La Crescenta is such a delight! We tried the knefe, served warm with sugar syrup on the side--so good. The kerke and cookie were just as tasty, and they also have a nice collection of different baklavas and other Lebanese specialties that looked amazing. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the space is spotless and inviting. A great spot for authentic pastries and sandwiches! read more

Sweet Leban is actually amazing!! Every item they have is fresh. The croissants are so soft and fluffy. The knefe is so tasty. The pastries are all amazing my favorite is the cinnamon cookies that look like tiny donuts. Honestly I haven't had one thing I haven't liked. If I had to recommend a few items I would recommend a croissant because of how soft and fluffy it is. I've tried the zaatar, regular, and chocolate all were amazing. My favorite was the chocolate only because I love chocolate. Another item I recommend is knefe and the cinnamon cookies. Service is great and so are their prices. Both were impeccable -- the barazek in particular was wonderful and light, a sweet sesame treat that went well with coffee or dessert. The staff were courteous and friendly. I was so happy to see a new bakery pop up in our area. Upon walking in, the smell of fresh desserts was so captivating. The place was so nice and clean with an assortment of delicious desserts. I was helped by Sarin and she was extremely kind and patient with my 1001 questions. I purchased the halawet el jibn and the salty cookies. The pistachios for the halawet el jibn came in a cute heart container and the syrup came in little bottles that were so secure. Both pastries were super fresh. My family enjoyed it so much they went the next day to try more things. Must visit for those who like Lebanese desserts and those who haven't yet tried! read more

Beautiful ambience family owned pastry/sandwich spot. We tried the Knefe and it was amazing made just like they do in Lebanon! I had to run back in and get some to-go it was that good! Didn't get to try other goodies they had but will be back soon. Everything is so nicely packaged and made on site. Super friendly service. The price was on par with other sandwich places in the area and felt fair. They had some free samples for the grand opening. The crème filled puff pastries were very good. I want to root for these guys, I really do! I bought the chicken fajita sandwich...not sure what about that sandwich was a fajita, but it was very messy. I got a few items like the osmanlia and something that looked the same as osmanlia, the guy put it in a big box and by the time I got home, it spilled over and they all got mixed up. Mind you I did still tried it, even though he forgot to put the syrup.but it tasted like it was old. I wish them all the best of luck, but I really don't think they should charge $4 a pastry if it's a few days old. read more
