Finally a bakery that I can get some knafe near by!! This bakery is family owned and you can tell they take pride in their business. You walk in and everything is as clean and organized as it gets. Customer service is great and the knafe jibneh is so good! This saves me a 30 min drive when I'm in the mood for knafe. I'm so happy that they opened this place up! Definitely try this spot out if you're in the area!

This place in La Crescenta is such a delight! We tried the knefe, served warm with sugar syrup on the side--so good. The kerke and cookie were just as tasty, and they also have a nice collection of different baklavas and other Lebanese specialties that looked amazing. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the space is spotless and inviting. A great spot for authentic pastries and sandwiches!

Found this bakery on Instagram and took a chance--so glad I did! The cake was exactly like the photo, beautifully packaged, absolutely delicious, and priced right. I want to gatekeep them, but they deserve all the love!

Basturma sandwich. Lebanese cured beef, tomato and pickles on a French roll.

I've had Sweet Leban's ham and cheese sandwich on a French roll and their basturma (cured beef) sandwich, and enjoyed both. (To go, only.) Their Middle Eastern cookies have delicious flavors. Try a selection to find your favorites. They also have Ashta brand ice cream (pistachio, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, mango). I haven't tried their cakes or pastries. Friendly service and easy parking.

A delightful little bakery and cafe. I tried their barazek and one of their sandwiches. Both were impeccable -- the barazek in particular was wonderful and light, a sweet sesame treat that went well with coffee or dessert. The staff were courteous and friendly. I can't recommend them enough.

I went to order online and realized there is the common convenience fee tacked on. I decided to order the old fashioned way, go there in person. Then I can browse the store while I wait. It has the usual stuff you'd expect to find in mini markets. But there are hidden gems in the dusty corners like a vintage bottle of Trader Vic's Mai Tai cocktail mix. I didn't check the price but I'm wishing it still had the price tag from 1975 on it. Made me think of the Werewolf of London drinking a Pina Colada and his hair was perfect. Another good find was a dusty bottle of Crème de Menthe. It made me want to look up the recipe for a Grasshopper. I don't know if these old mixer's are for sale or just museum pieces. The sandwiches look pretty good, I'll have to try one another time. Overall the veggie pizza was pretty good, but a bit heavy on the veggies. I generally like fewer toppings, but everyone is different. I suppose in the future I could ask to go light on the toppings. But I'd rather they be generous rather than skimpy.

I drove for a few seconds around the corner and parked on the street and walked over to the Verdugo Dairy lot which is where the Nickos Sandwich Truck is located. The truck is so cute and small and fits perfectly in the lot without taking up too much space. I looked at the menu and honestly all the sandwiches looked so good that it was hard to just choose one, but I wanted breakfast so I went with the Plain Breakfast Sandwich. I was asked how I want my egg cooked and I chose sunny side up. Options for cheese were swiss or provolone and I couldn't decide and I was able to get a slice of both on my sandwich! I also ordered a bread pudding on the side. After ordering I was given a little buzzer that would go off when my food is ready. I hung out and didn't wait too long until my buzzer went off and it was a nice loud beeping that would be easy to hear if I had left it in my pocket. After the food is ready then you pay. When I went back to my car and I couldn't help myself I ripped open the bag and I was in awe of my sandwich. Look at my photos, do you see that melty stretch of cheese that is so perfect??????????? The brioche bun is soft and fluffy, the egg seasoned with salt and pepper perfectly and cooked to perfection, and the cheese is stretchy and gooey and so delicious. Was I licking the wrapper when I was done? Maybe! If I could give more than 5 stars for my sandwich I would! I love me a banana pudding and I thought I was going to wait to eat it at home, however I could not control myself I popped it open and I gobbled it down. So creamy and delicious with just the right amount of crumbled nilla wafers. I am not in Glendale too often, but you can bet that when I am, I'll be stopping by again! After placing an order on their website, you would park in the back lot where it's free parking, and enter a tempt room of lockers. I wish they included this in the text where you are to CALL THEM to let them know you've arrived so they can bring your order out to you. It's not like the other establishment in this shared kitchen where they just leave it in one of the order cubbies to pick up. So here I am like an idiot just standing and waiting in the empty room for my order. I didn't know until I checked my email and it said to call them in my receipt. Oh well. Anyway, here's what I ordered: BASTURMA BRISKET - $29 Hand Carved Basturma Brisket, Pickled Persian Cucumber, Chaman Spread, and Swiss Cheese. Served in freshly baked pita bread. I know, what kind of sandwich costs nearly $30!? But let me tell you, you are getting both quality and quantity in this bad boy. This reads 2 people, and those 2 will enjoy this thoroughly. Yes, it's a bit on the saltier side, but that's why you have the cucumber to balance it out a bit and the warm and soft pita bread. The brisket was tender and I loved the spread (which you can buy!). It's such a unique take on the common pastrami sandwich. So remember: 1. Order online (no phone calls) 2. Park in the back 3. CALL THEM, letting you know you have arrived. 4. Enter through the big doors (its unlocked) 5. Wait for them to come out to retrieve order. 6. Enjoy!

This sandwich was epic!! The meat was tender and smoky. The spices were perfectly balanced. It had a delicious Chaman Spread, a slice of Swiss cheese and housemade pickled Persian cucumbers. The acidity of the pickles helped to balance out the rich meat. It all came together like magic. The sandwich is quite large, which justifies the $29 price. I only ate half and saved the rest for later. It was just as good cold as it was hot. I can't wait for my friends to try it. They will love it!! Great job III Mas!

I recently went in and ordered a Philly cheesesteak over the counter. I waited patiently, tipped well, and about 20 minutes later an employee looked me directly in the eye, handed me a sandwich, and told me my order was ready. I got home, opened the sandwich, and found a turkey sandwich. Completely different order. I immediately called the store and explained what happened. Instead of an apology, I was told I needed to bring the sandwich back and that the entire sandwich needed to be there. Of course the entire sandwich was there. I hadn't touched it. I was also told they would start making my correct sandwich while I drove back. When I returned, the person I spoke with, who appeared to be a supervisor, manager, or owner, told me, "You must have taken the wrong sandwich." No. Your employee handed me the wrong sandwich and told me it was mine. When I explained that, the response was essentially, "Well, I was on break, so I don't know." That attitude bothered me far more than the original mistake. Mistakes happen. Handing someone the wrong sandwich is an easy mistake to forgive. What isn't so easy to overlook is treating the customer as though the mistake was somehow their fault, requiring them to drive all the way back, and showing virtually no apology or concern for wasting their time. Then came the replacement sandwich. The original cheesesteak I watched them prepare went through the pizza oven. The replacement did not. They also used American cheese instead of the cheese I ordered, and the sandwich was noticeably underbuilt, with very little meat, as shown in my photo. After the interaction I had just experienced, it was difficult not to view the replacement as passive-aggressive. What should have been simple was, "We're sorry. We handed you the wrong sandwich. We'll make this right." Instead, I felt accused, inconvenienced, and then handed a lesser sandwich as though they were doing me a favor. I've been coming here since the previous owners, going back to the late 1980s. Unfortunately, this also isn't the first time recently that I've received substandard service or a substandard product. At some point you have to stop judging a place by what it used to be and judge it by what it is today. For me, this experience did exactly that. I'd keep the photo of the underbuilt cheesesteak attached. It supports the part of the review people might otherwise dismiss as subjective.
