I was in the area picking up food and popped in to ask if anyone could take them off or fix them quickly. The front desk was honest with me: 5 to 10 min wait, 30 min for removal. I appreciated the transparency and told them I'd pass since I was short on time. As I'm walking out from the restaurant next door, the owner comes out and tells me he can attach two nails in 10 to 15 minutes. I was a little hesitant but went for it, and it was the best split-second decision I made all weekend. This man is FAST. And precise. He matched my existing color so well that the two new nails blend in completely with the rest of my set. The salon is super spacious and modern too, and I thought the lamp setup was so smart. Two UV lamps built under the desk for curing polish, plus a mini one above for the glue. Little things like that tell you a lot about how much someone cares about their craft. He ended up not charging me at all. I booked an appointment online for an acrylic fill, which their system confirmed, and also got a basic pedicure. I arrived on time and the entire visit took almost two hours. Right from the start, instead of being welcomed, I was greeted with visible annoyance for showing up. I'm still not sure why there was an issue since the appointment came directly through their own booking system. The pedicure was fine, but the acrylic fill was honestly one of the worst nail services I've had. The technician was clearly talking about me and mocking me to other technicians which felt incredibly disrespectful. If they didn't want to do the acrylic fill, I would have much preferred they simply decline the service rather than making me feel uncomfortable for the entire appointment. There were also several issues with the service itself: No hand washing/brushing nails between the acrylic work and polish which I've never experienced i wasn't really allowed to choose my own polish color - they kept pushing certain colors The technician opened the door super dramatically while talking trash under her breath - I guess because of the acrylic smell which made the whole service feel even more chaotic. My cuticles weren't pushed back or even trimmed at all which was shocking. No lotion or quick hand massage, which normally comes with even a basic service. I also mentioned it was my first time, yet they never offered the new customer discount they advertise on their website. On top of that, the salon appeared unclean, basic sanitation steps during the nail service seemed to be skipped, and they had children working to clean up the salon and doing custodial work. Listen I understand in the service industry things can happen and misunderstandings can happen,…read morehowever, this is so disappointing and I was so anxious that I left. I called ahead to this place to see if they could give me a gel manicure. They said come on in and I was so excited. I haven't had my nails done in years and wanted to treat myself as I have a trip next week. I came in with beautiful, healthy long natural nails and left with one hand untouched and the other ..well they chopped my natural nails to the bone. When she started she asked me the shape I would like and if I wanted them cut or just filed. I asked her to trim them a little, square with rounded edges and said because I have a baby I don't want them to be sharp. She cut them ALL THE WAY DOWN, and rounded them all. When she showed me I said oh no I asked for square...so she started filing again, threw my hand at me and said "how's this" I don't even know what shape to call what she did. None of them even match. Also they were so short there was nothing that could be fixed. So then she tossed the file at me and said "ok you do it" I replied why would I pay to file my own nails, and there's nothing left to file. My anxiety was now high because I didn't want to be difficult but why would she speak to me that way and do that?? Another lady came over and said she could fix them by putting tips on or gel x. I said I don't want tips, and I wanted my natural nails. She again said she would fix it, and agreed it was the techs fault. She also mentioned three or more times the tech didn't understand me...ok, but then why the attitude when I clarified, and why wouldn't she ask for assistance if she didn't understand what I was asking for. I questioned her "how are you going to fix this..it's not like you can regrow my nails and I'm not paying for tips or gel x. I will say she agreed to do tips or gel x at the cost of a manicure when I told her I wouldn't pay, but that's not the point. To avoid any further confrontation and because I was actually shaking from being embarrassed I left. Now I will have to go to another place and have tips if I want my nails done for my trip otherwise it's bare hands in LA for me. Also it's worth mentioning that I was also going to get a pedicure also but only wanted regular polish, the original tech attempting to do my hands tried to upsell me on gel for my toes...I had to decline three times. If a customer says no thank you, it's a no thank you. I left with bare feet, mismatched chopped up hands, and tears in my eyes because I should have just done my nails at home. Please do better.
