On kids day today, Tuesday March 19th at the medford location, both my children were served mini corn dogs that were expired by several months. They were off color, greenish, just hope my kids don't get sick from it. The cashier claimed they just smelled of their breading at first and I had to insist 3 times she check the date. She wasn't very apologetic, blaming sysco, and only offered to remake my kids something different. Doubt I will ever go back. Breakfast burritos! Wow. While I'd love if this were a drive thru, and they are $8-9... Worth it! They are the hugest most perfect breakfast burritos - as fast as drive through. My corn beef burrito - real corned beef, crispy potatoes, eggs from a shell (instead of a box). Do not eat anything from a drive thru for breakfast. Get out of your car and then walk in this place. Don't let the weird location and tiny building fool you, this place is excellent. It belongs on an episode of diners drive ins and dives. The brisket sandwich is my absolute favorite, but I have tried and enjoyed several things on their menu. The tea is great and they give you a huge cup. The price is fantastic considering the portion size and quality. The potato salad is decent, but what really stands out is the fries. They are very well seasoned and might be my favorite in town. The buns are awesome and compliment the sandwiches and burgers well. All in all this is a great place to eat and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

Great food! Me and my dad just stopped in here today about a quarter to 4, so just before closing. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and he ordered the brisket. Well, my sandwich was very tasty! It was definitely one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've had in a long time. The meat was super flavourful and soft but I think he put it on the flat top and crisped it up a bit which gave it even better texture. It wasn't saucy at all, which is the downfall of most pulled pork I think since it covers up everything. This was not the case here, it was smoky but not very heavy and peppery. I would not hesitate to order that again. I stole a piece of brisket from my dad's sandwich to try and it was really tender. I'm not a huge fan of beef so I can't really compare it to any other brisket. The only thing my dad complained about it was that the brisket wasn't fatty enough for him. But I'd take that with a grain of salt, he'd love it if there was a 3" layer of fat. As for drinks, I tried the tea and it was pretty good. Very smooth, as it should be. I didn't try the sweet tea on it's own, sadly, so I can't tell you how sweet it was. I cut my tea with 3/4 unsweetened and 1/4 sweetened. It's a very small place with seating both indoors and picnic tables outdoors so it's probably not too well suited for like groups of 10 or more. Parking is in the Blackbird parking lot. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this place to try. I plan on coming for breakfast some time to see how that is. The pricing is adequate for the quality and portions! read more

French toast was nice thick slices of amazing bread, with eggs and meat (sausage links weren't my favorite, didn't taste bad, just not my preference). My husband had the brisket breakfast-LOVED IT!!! I've heard good things about this place & we were looking for a quick to-go lunch as we had lots of projects waiting for us at home. We both got the Comfort Burger with fries. On the positive side, the burger was huge & I couldn't even finish it all. It was good too and a real burger, not just a frozen patty. The downside was getting it to-go. We live about a mile or 2 away & drove right over after calling in. But by the time we got home the fries were cold & the bottom bun of our burgers were already soggy. Saturday night sweet tea was supposed to cater a dinner for 50 plus people they were supposed to be there 430 pm We tried calling left messages they would not get back to us ok I have a big party going on and now no food thanks sweet tea you really screwed up my retirement party. Looking for BBQ Ribs! I have just moved to the Medford area, and I am looking for a place that serves good BBQ ribs (My first shot was Back Porch BBQ in Jacksonville. That review coming). Unfortunately, this is not the place for them. $25. for a full rack of ribs. The ribs were pulled out of a refrigerator, slathered in sauce (the sauce was pretty good) and heated up on the grill. Several of the ribs were cold, so they were probably stored for a day or two. Several ribs had been overcooked, and were quite chewy. I have had worse, but I will not be back for the ribs. read more

Tried the brisket burger today for lunch with fries. The fries were 10/10. The burger was a bit disappointing, the patty didn't have much flavor and the bun was a little undercooked. Could have done with a firmer bun with how juicy the brisket was. 4/10 on burger. Our office of 20 ordered this for lunch. Had heard good reviews about their food so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately it didn't meet the standards of many of our office staff as some of the salads were missing dressings and the meat dishes were dry. The avocado seemed to be previously frozen which made it slimy which was gross. We had ordered a gluten-free sandwich for someone who is highly allergic, She took a bite and realized it was regular bread and so she went without eating. The gal at the front was trying hard to make sure everything was packaged correctly, but the ticket ink was so low that it was illegible which is probably why the order got messed up and plus they were in over their heads with too many orders and being understaffed. Lastly, my coleslaw (which i threw away) was made with bare hands digging into the container to pull out the cranberries, that was the final straw for me and why i'll never be able to eat here again. read more

We finally went into this scruffy building that has been on the edge of Blackbird's parking lot for many years but only in the last few years has been home to Sweet Tea Express. It features smoked meats in its entrees or as take out by​ the pound. I ate the Smoked Chicken Philly sandwich​ with cheese, bell peppers and coleslaw as the side: it was very good. The ingredients​ were stuffed into a fat ciabatta​ bun with a ​folded paper wrap to keep it from being too messy. The large serving of coleslaw was cabbage and cranberries in a mild sauce. I really regret not walking out as soon as I walked in. I can't believe this place is so highly regarded in the valley. If you care about your health and safety, stay FAR AWAY from here. Opening the door, I immediately saw about 5-7 employees, all wearing masks below their chin or not at all. (None of them looked older than 25). One woman in particular had a giant home Depot bucket on the service counter, standing on a chair mixing some kind of batter, no mask on, either chewing gum or just generally having a hard time keeping her mouth closed while standing over the bucket (are those even food grade??/Approved for use in a commercial kitchen??). The grill is right out in the open so EVERYTHING is sticky. Every surface is absolutely coated in grease. Every table was stockpiled with a months worth of napkins, etc., clearly so they don't have to bother with it every day. The stack of napkins at our table had coffee stains and food flecks up the side. I ordered a veggie omelette, with home fries and toast. My only hope was the food was cooked well enough to not get sick from. The home fries were like rubber, no seasoning or taste; tasted exactly like they were cooked many many hours prior and then microwaved. The veggies in the omelette were chopped so fine, I couldn't even really tell what veggies they were supposed to be. There was no cheese inside the omelette, only a sad slice of what I guess was swiss not even half way melted on top, so it had the wonderful oily coating. It was absolutely infuriating to try and eat because the veggies were so fine, there was no cheese for them to stick to, so you could either scoop up veggies or get a bite of omelette, not both, because their forks are tiny. The avocado slices on top were mixed with mushy and rock hard slices but was the only thing worth eating as I convinced myself that it had to be fresh, right? And I can't say anything about the toast because I never got it even after being told twice it was 'on the way.' I took a few bites and left the rest. This was the first time in almost two years where I was genuinely terrified to catch covid and was thankful to be vaccinated. This place doesn't care about your health nor your safety. I'm so pissed I gave these people my money. Never again. No one will ever convince me to step foot in here again. read more

Definitely will not be back. We gave it a second chance, and this time was even worse. First off there was a cockroach on the wall in the dinning area. Another customer told the lady and she came and killed it. Then there was fruit flies in the salt shaker. The French frys were ok, but the burger was gross, I ended up throwing it away. Sweet tea express is hands-down the best barbecue place in Medford Oregon! The quality of their meat is amazing, they actually smoke their food, and they have very good sauces to accompany their smoked foods. Greg and his staff prepare and serve the food very well. They actually now have a second location over by the sonic and pilot gas station off of interstate five. I went to that location yesterday and the food is just as good there, but the facilities are new and nicer. Yay! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody traveling through or who lives here, as I said, and best barbecue in Medford! read more

Wow - what a find! Went to the Blackbird for some camping supplies and hardware. Decided to try Sweet Tea Express. It is the kind of place you might overlook. Don't! I had the Carolina Wilber Burrito for lunch-it was simply the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Pulled pork and mustard sauce, veggies & potatoes. It was awesome-huge too! At our table we also had a pattie melt with fries. Too much to eat in one sitting. Veggie omelettes with avocado and potatoes. Super delicious. We had a plate of macaroni and cheese which was also delicious. Then a brisket sandwich and fries. Everything was great. Order at the counter-food was ready pretty fast. I'll go back - and if you drive by daily and have never stopped-wow-you are missing some delicious grub! read more
