You can choose one of the pre made options or you can great your own. The Gluten Free options are clearly labeled, as well as the vegan options. and there are a lot of them! I've probably spent more time in this sweetgreen than I have in my own home. It almost feels redundant for me to review sweetgreen, as I've already told every single person in my life that there is no other acceptable salad chain. I usually order a build-your-own salad, but the premade salads on the menu are all original and delicious. The standards that sweetgreen has for the freshness of their ingredients is unmatched - I've never had a bad experience with any of the ingredients here. The Fleet St location is great - friendly staff, it's clean, and they don't seem to mind when I finish my salad and sit at a table to study for an hour or two. read more

This is my second time coming in and both times Amani has had a poor attitude and horrible customer service. I stood there waiting for her to take my order but she didn't greet or acknowledge me. Her coworker had to step in and after I got my order I realized I didn't have utensils so I went back and politely asked Amani for some. She didn't make eye contact with me whatsoever and honestly looked mad that I had asked. Sweetgreen makes Harbor East a better place! Mobile app ordering, delivery via postmates, build your own menu items and yummy drinks. The only thing missing in this location is their signature frozen yogurt/soft serve. So tart and tangy! Go try it elsewhere!!! My personal favorite combination is a build you own salad with romaine and kale, sweet potatoes, avocado, Parmesan chips, tomato, cucumber, salmon and two sides of Caesar dressing. Who knew eating healthy could be THIS good?! First timer here, and I'm already looking forward to going back. I went with the "winter waldorf" which is under the seasonal (winter) menu. All of the ingredients tasted fresh, and I especially loved that this particular bowl had apples, walnuts, and raisins in it. A little on the expensive side, but my taste buds say it's worth it. When trying to eat healthy sweetgreen definitely gives you a wide range of options to satisfy your hunger and keep the calories to a decent number. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu and if your really feeling adventurous you have the option of making your own blend or mixing it up. I've had a few items from this particular location including the salmon and chicken. Both came out well seasoned and delicious. The greens were fresh and the options and additions are also wide ranging. The service was great as well and optionally speed up your trip and order it on the app for a quick and easy in and out. I typically like my dressing on the side as at times depending on how quickly you can get to it the salad wilts a bit otherwise. Definitely recommend trying them out if you haven't. read more

Sweetgreen has a cute name and sells salads only. So I have been wanting to check it out. You can build your own salad, but the of the menu salad options, for the less creative folks like me, are limited. I ordered the guacamole greens and dined in. The atmosphere is very too cool for school. I said hipsters, guys in suits, bros...you get the idea. Picture of The Weeknd on the wall. Some music I bet Kylie Jenner listens to. You get the idea. Not really my scene though. It's clean and minimalist inside. The people in front of me had several salads and one wanted something the sole salad maker had to get from the back. So I went to the bathroom for a bio break. It wasn't super clean in there, but it wasn't dirty either. Decent for a restaurant bathroom. By the time I returned another person as helping make salads. She was very nice and she made a tasty salad. Apparently you can have dressing light, medium or heavy. I went medium. You have an option of bread with the salad. I took the bread, but not sure if it's extra. I paid a little over 10 dollars. The primary weirdness I experienced is they don't take cash. So let me put on my armchair sociologist hat here: why is this? I think maybe it's the hip thing to pay with your phone or a card. But this is not cool for people that maybe have the cash for a healthy lunch but don't have a phone with a pay app or a card. I'm fortunate to have all pay options at my disposal, but this really kind of bothered me. Or maybe it's a safety thing? Like can't be robbed if no cash? Whatever. I didn't like it. It felt pretentious. The salad is a decent size, but compared to a place like Chopt it's small. I was satiated, but I knew I would be hungry sooner than I would with a salad from Chopt. This is simply because Chopt gives you more greens (volume), then pulverizes it. It probably looks only slightly more than a Sweetgreen salad in a side-by-side comparison, but the reduced surface area from the chop in the Chopt salad is deceiving. You're getting much more for your money at Chopt. I prefer the Elaine Benes big salad, please. And more greens in a salad have never hurt me. Would I return? Possibly. But I've had better. They have tasty salads and good customer service in a clean establiahment, but the atmosphere is a little too pretentious for me and the salads are relatively small. If Chopt ever comes to this area, y'all at Sweetgreen are in real trouble. read more

When my bf and I need a late night salad. We run here, there's always street parking around the corner. Staff's always so chatty and friendly even right before closing. Menu is varied and flexible with a seasonal section. Everything is organic and sourced locally with their farms listed on their menu. Have tried several items on their menu- have never been disappointed. The dining area is spacious and light but outdoor seating is available as well. Drinks are not sweetened very much so if that's what you're used to, you may be disappointed. This place let's us eat out but not cheat on our diets. read more

This place used to be my favorite restaurant in Baltimore, I've been weekly since moving to the city. However, I recently found a living maggot in my salad. When I reached out to sweetgreen, I received no response. The site won't let me upload the video of it crawling out of my salad but here's a screenshot of it on the edge of my bowl. I understand that it's a risk you have to take when ordering fresh greens from a salad place, all I asked for was compensation for the bowl that I had to throw away for fear of more maggots deeper in the bowl, but no response. read more

My wife and I were walking around looking for a quick bite before flying out and saw an open door at sweet green. It looked healthy so we walked in, were greeted and proceeded to look at the menu. Antwan(not sure on spelling), was super cool and said we don't open until 10:30(it was 9:45), but We will take care of you. He walked us through the menu and some favorites, and we had a really nice conversation. He and the staff never cited like we were a nuisance, and were super accommodating even while they were still getting set up. We proceeded to tell him we were moving to the area in February and looked forward to coming back to see him. I confess- I am pleasantly surprised by this place. The lines move quickly and portions are hefty. My favorite salad is the kale Ceasar- with a good serving of tender kale, Parmesan crips and shavings, chicken breast and a squeeze of lime.The ceasar dressing is creamy, flavorful with a good anchovy base to it (hey, this is not a bad thing). The dressing tastes home made. I am always a bit wary of old ingredients and cleanliness of the staff so I watch like a hawk when the salad prepper makes my salad- this place does a good job of keeping the ingredients fresh and Prep station clean. I would not buy the drinks though- mediocre and off flavors. This place has really good and fresh food! I got the shroomami bowl, with a few adjustments. I'm not too keen on ginger or beets so they let me replace the beets with garbanzos and the ginger dressing with a cashew one. You also have the option to build your own bowl, like chipotle status. Plus they make natural and fresh drinks that I thought were really healthy (some had ginger). The people working there were also very friendly and nice and the restaurant had decent sitting as well. Overall, the food was delicious and they give you a lot! Definitely $10-13 worth. I went today for lunch for the first time and it was fabulous! This place was slammed and there was a line almost out the door, but they moved it along fairly quickly. I had the apple, pear and cheddar seasonal salad...perfection. It had kale, mixed greens, apples, pears, white cubed cheddar (the star!), pecans and basil. I added tofu for some protein and I would totally order this salad again. I also loved their soft, chewy bread that came with it and the portion was the ideal size. One thing that I really appreciate is that all of their house created offerings sound good to me. I didn't have to try to minus or swap something or concoct my own thing. I wanted everything they were advertising! I can't wait to go back and try something else. I also really like that they show you where many of the ingredients are coming from. This was my first time in a sweetgreen, so that was a nice touch. The iced teas and fun frescas were a nice touch too! I only wish that had at least one caffeine-free iced tea offering. read more

I used to go to the sweetgreen in Bethesda all the time, but this was my first time to the one in Baltimore. I also haven't been to a sweetgreen in over 3 years... I'm pretty sure they changed their menu system. The toppings used to be unlimited and there weren't more expensive "premium" toppings. And most importantly, they used to have frozen yogurt! The fro-yo here was the best out of all the chains out there. RIP frozen yogurt =( Regardless, the quality of the salads is excellent. Been here twice now. Both times the employees were very pleasant and helpful. I had the Summer BBQ salad the first time. Good but too much kale for me. The second time created my own salad. Both times it was good quality for the price and you get a piece of fresh bread with it. For dressing I recommend getting the medium amount. Don't say light, it won't be enough. I've been following the expansion of this brand on the East Coast and anxious for my first opportunity to try it out. It definitely lives up to the hype- it's a great place for a custom salad. The ingredients are fresh, service is quick, and the good is reasonably priced. It is exactly comparable to Chop't and a half step up from Nalley Fresh (in my opinion). I will definitely come again. As an anecdote, I will report that when I asked the worker if any dressings are low fat or fat free she replied that they are all vegan and therefore all fat free. At that point I realized that I was on my own and made the best choice I could as no nutritional information would be provided. Awesome salad place. I'm a loyal fan of the Kale Caesar (the parmesan crisps really make the salad!), however, everything I've had here has been good. Also - a little side note about their customer service - one time on my visit they forgot the parm. crisps on my kale caesar so I emailed the customer service line and they sent me a gift card, pretty awesome. I notched one star because of the online ordering, though. When you order through the app for pick-up, they do not dress your salad for you (it's a policy). Super upsetting considering the salad tastes 100 times better when dressed and mixed in the store. I got food poisoning after eating here on Jan 11th. I contacted corporate on Jan 12, but they did not respond other than a text that they will look into it. That's not good enough. I was violently ill for 14 hours and prob a week+ of recovery and I want the community to be aware of the risks in eating here. I went to the Dr and had full testing done, pending results. If the company doesn't care enough about my well being, nor yours, I wanted to make sure this post was widely seen so that the public is aware. Have come to this location a couple of times now, which means I have a good view of different times comparing peak times to lower flow of customers. I have noticed that when it is a lower volume, their speed of service is excellent. However during peak times they have lines that move slower. Not sure if it has to do with how they take orders. The person serves you from the start to the finish instead of having more of a assembly line. Only reason I deducted a star. As far as food, quality and friendliness. I would give them 5 stars all the way! The staff is always nice and cheerful, and the salad is always fresh! So happy to have gotten a Sweetgreen in Baltimore! Very similar to NalleyFresh but I'm always down for more healthy and delicious options! It is definitely more expensive than nalley fresh but I am not too sure of the breakdown of ingredients in terms of local and organize produce. It looked like Sweetgreen sources locally as they had a list of farms on display. I had the Rad Thai bowl but had turkey instead of shrimp. I actually wanted chicken but they had just run out and it would have taken 20 min to make a fresh batch. Very sad but I was fine with turkey. I loved my bowl. It had a nice crunch and the dressing was divine. The bread they serve on the side is nice and thick and hearty as well. The service was overall good but I think they are still training a few people.
