This place is good but I have doubts with a recent visit. I ordered the new steak bowl. I was watching the associate assemble the bowl and didn't see whether or not there was any steak on it, which she kindly replied yes I added it. On inspection, it wasn't in there. Walked in on a Friday at 12:30pm (lunch hour) and there was 3 people in front of me. There was only 1 employee taking/ making the orders so it was very slow! The employee didn't even seem to know what she was doing. She had to look at a card to help her make each order so that took up even more time. I had to repeat my order to her multiple times before she even started making it. This was a disappointing experience. We got two kids meals and two regular bowls and it came to around $50. Our bowls were barely even filled! We won't be coming back here. Not worth your time or money. Oh yeah, we also tasted the new fries and they were cold. This was very disappointing. The first time, I ordered my usual crispy rice and tried out the new chips. The chips were burnt and very stale, however their Instagram reached out and gave me a $5 credit for a future order. I decided to give them another chance and tell my coworkers to order here for our office lunch. We got our food and all of our dressings were missing, my crispy rice bowl was missing the crispy rice. They have a check list on each bowl and somehow multiple things were missing on each order. The parking at this location is very crowded on top of all this. I really enjoy the food here in the people who work there are generally friendly. However, at least half of my visits over the last three months they have not had basic items on their menu. I really don't understand how a business that sells salads runs out of kale and romaine on the same night. Was my first time to this location, placing an online order. They are fast and efficient and the food is fresh and made to order. I love that you can either get a pre-configured menu item or configure it to your liking. Don't like citrus dressing? no worries- easy to change out. The ingredients are all very fresh; no wilted lettuce here. The serving size is just right- filling, but not too much. Proteins consist of mostly chicken and fish so its great for people who like to eat mostly vegetables but are not vegetarian. Since it's located near the Equinox fitness center, it's an easy place for people who are looking for quick bites between workouts. read more

Finally tried the raved about SweetGreen! Ill have to admit its pretty good. They only have salads and bowls and a couple other side options so the menu is pretty limited. I got the crispy rice bowl which tasted so good. The only complaint is that the protein seemed very little, youll only get one small scoop. Also they didnt have the focaccia bread but the gentleman explained to us that they were having issues with the supplier so its okay, just bummed we couldnt try it because it looks really good. I would say this place is more than 4 stars, but it's pricey. $15 for a salad is a bit much. My thought is that it's a great spot next to Equinox and in the neighborhood of La Costa. This neighborhood doesn't mind spending a little extra. My first trip to sweetgreen, I opted for the Harvest Bowl since it said "popular" next to it on the menu. Might as well go for a tried and true option. They let me sub out spinach and green mix for kale since raw kale is a horrible, horrible food. That was really great to learn that you could swap out items that are similar in price. You can customize whatever they have on the menu or just flat out build your own. The rice was well cooked, there was a great mix of crunchy nuts, salty cheese, spicy dressing (that spicy cashew dressing was GREAT), slightly chewy sweet potato, and the chicken was super moist. One thing that I noticed is that everything was already cut bite-sized. That's an overlooked detail in a lot of places. I shouldn't need a knife to eat a salad. If you don't get sticker shock from a $15 salad and like eating organic/local/etc., this is a place is for you! read more

Finally a healthy and semi fast food joint comes to town! I like how they have options for meat eaters, pescatarians, vegetarians, and even vegans. I got the fish taco bowl that came with grilled salmon that was cooked perfectly. It also came with a side of bread. The dressing that came with it was delicious! They offer to toss the salad for you if you'd like as well. The food comes in biodegradable containers that also server as to go containers. They have an indoor seating area as well as an outdoor, covered, dog friendly patio. I will definitely be back soon to try something new! read more

You can make a lot of their bowls and salads vegan friendly by adding in and/or subbing ingredients. They seem to pack a lot more when you dine in rather than ordering to go. They get super busy during the lunch hour but you are able to order online. Never been to a location before but have always heard great things! I ordered the green goddess salad and it was honestly one of the best salads I've had in a while and it was HUGE. For only $10 it's a great deal as it also comes with a piece of sourdough bread but I did trade it for the rosemary focaccia bread. The focaccia bread hit the spot but could have had more of a rosemary flavor. I was so amazed by the size of the salad and definitely could not finish it in one setting. My friend ordered the delicious sweet potatoes, but beware they are very addicting. Review on the takeout of the popular Harvest Bowl (warm bowl). Placed my takeout order through Yelp to pick up in store. The confirmation told me it would be ready within 20-40 minutes. I arrived around the 20-minute mark and found my order on the pick-up shelf inside the store. I never got a notification my order was ready for pick up so for all I know it could've been ready sooner than that. Went home excited to eat my bowl, ate half of it, tummy satisfied, and was extra happy I had leftovers for lunch the next day. I liked the balsamic vinaigrette more than the green goddess ranch dressing but still glad I got the green goddess dressing because it was still good and I don't think the one dressing would have been enough for all of the spinach and toppings. My total for the one bowl rounded up to $20 because I got two add-ons, roasted tofu and chickpeas. I rarely spend this much on a salad but wanted to treat my tummy to something healthy today.
