Came in today to try Sweetgreen for the first time! It definitely didn't disappoint! I ordered 3 items. A kale cesar, crispy rice bowl, and the kids little harvest plate. These bowls are HUGE! You will def be full when you're done! I got the kale cesar for myself and it was perfect! It was fresh with big chunks of chicken. My husband loved his crisps rice bowl. My daughter absolutely loved her kids plate. Hers came with chicken, sweet potatoes, and apples. She was def a happy camper. Also, any place that sells Olipop is good in my book! I want to definitely come back and try other items on their menu. This location is located in Addison so you will encounter some traffic. It is however super clean inside the location as well as their outdoor area. There's plenty of parking and they also have 15 min spots if you're doing to go/pickup. The Sweetgreen workers were all very nice and accommodating as well. Overall, I would say if you want a healthy outing that you can feel good about. First impression - great looking space and everything looks so fresh! There's a chalk board showing the local farms they use, very cool. The young lady behind the counter knew everything there was to know about the different salads. As she prepared the Guacamole Greens salad she double checked that I wanted it as it is on the menu or if I wanted to change anything. She asked me if I wanted the salad mixed up or not and when adding the dressing, asked me light, medium or heavy. I liked that! The amount of dressing was perfect. They have Parmesan crisps as a topping at the end - making my totally Keto which is what I was trying for. (I did see they give you a nice slice of sourdough bread.) I'm picky about my salads because I make at home all the time - this salad did not disappoint. It had all things I typically use, a really beautiful spring mix, the romaine was more green than white, the avocado was perfectly ripe, chicken that was perfectly cooked and the jalapeño cilantro dressing really went well with everything. They have a great pick-up area up front and near the door, a separate section for delivery pickup as well. A few different drink options by the bottle are in a reach-in fridge near the cashier, as well as a water station. Overall - gotta go with a 10/10. Great salad. Great price point. The service was great, but the food was mediocre at best. It's a build a bowl type concept similar to Cava or Chipotle. But, you can do a salad bowl or hot bowl. I went with the hot bowl option. All of the sides were basic and nothing was super yummy. I built my bowl and they charged for everything after 4 toppings. And you need more than 4 if you want actual flavor lol. Food was good, but....the Romain lettuce is not cut up well and they don't have knives in their, plastic ware , it took forever to get checked out, !!! the manager had to help 3 x, , never apologized, or smiled, actually a little rude I was on a lunch break and it seemed very unorganized, and incompetent, I tried to pay cash but they'd didn't have change for a 20.00 bill Then the girl did not know how to cancel it so I could pay with a card and She charging me four times the amount had to cancel that call the manager . I've ordered the exact same thing via web for pick up - Guacamole Greens - 3 times and gotten a different version each time. The first time the chicken was very over cooked, but I gave it another go because they were new. Second time it was missing an ingredient, but I thought "oh well it's just the tomatoes no big deal". Third time, missing a different ingredient this time, back to over cooked chicken, and I had to wait 15 minutes after the email was sent saying it was ready. Over it. I should have known this place wasn't going to be good had I known they originated in San Francisco. Regardless I had high hopes since I'm a fan of Salata and Cava. The menu selection seems promising but the flavor is just not there. The dressing and the flavor of the meat is basic salt pepper. It just taste like wet lettuce with partially salted meat. We got coupon in mail for 5$ off so figured will give a try to this place and they just opened in our neighborhood- belt line and Montfort. Coupon clearly says redeem online, or bring it to the store, and when we tried to redeem it at the store the guy told us that it only works online even though I pointed to him it clearly says bring it to the store then he made a comment: why would we allow to redeem it in the store, then everyone would be coming to the store and bringing the coupon! well, isn't it the case for newly open businesses to lure new customers?
