The food is good once in a while. Severely lacks quality control though. The service is EXTREMELY poor. They need to clean house (management and staff included). Online orders take 20+ minutes even if the place is empty. Don't expect the line inside to be quick either. 1 employee will be making the bowls and taking payment, while 5 other employees are on their phones. The tables are absolutely disgusting too- food and dressing are both caked in. It seems as though they don't clean them throughout the day. Figure it out please. read more

I always ordered the harvest bowl when I lived in San Mateo and today I got burnt pieces of sweet potatoes. I told the staff and the response I got was. "They all kinda look like that". This is not necessarily a shout out. I'm irritated because I ordered a bowl and was charged $3 extra "because" it wasn't on the menu.. they had all the ingredients to make it. But he was rude about it. I've ordered this bowl at least 4 other times... and never have I ever been charged extra since it was an online bowl. Don't waste your time. LOVED this place! Stopped by here for the first time during the evening... and there was no line. Staff were helpful and explained the options. I went with a build your own bowl with 1/2 quinoa and 1/2 spinach plus all kinds of fresh veggies, chicken, and roasted mushrooms. The recommended dressing- green goddess ranch was delish! Walked in and saw a bit of a line, not a problem. I stood there and waited and watched the lady in front of me TRY to order. She asked for brussels sprouts (which I wanted as well) , the lady working said they didn't have any. Then the lady asked for chicken... didn't have any. So the lady then asked what meat they DO have. The worker said only steak. The lady said she would wait for chicken which would take 5-10 minutes. The next lady in front of me then went. She asked for the salmon bowl, the worker opens the tray to see NO SALMON IN THE TRAY. So they were out of EVERY SINGLE THING. At this point all the workers are looking around confused on what to do with a line full of people and no food to serve. If you have a buffet style pick what you want, id expect most of the food to be ready to serve. I was so excited to try this place but I turned around and walked right out the door. We were all distracted, including the girl serving us who did her best, but it caused her to make our bowl wrong and have to remake it. Not her fault. Meanwhile this manager or shift lead was on her phone or sweeping the whole time we were there even though they were obviously understaffed. They were out of a lot of things tonight too. Sweetgreen's menu options are soo good! I find that I usually like to change my proteins up and it's always a win! The one at the Irvine Spectrum is next to Wahoo's Tacos and faces the parking lot. We came here tonight got the harvest bowl my husband and I shared it and it was Awesome! Super fresh, healthy and yummy! I got the balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side and also some pesto vinaigrette and kind of mixed the two a little bit on the salad and it was so yummy!! You have bowls, sandwiches, salads that you can choose from the menu, but the. You can build your own, substitute any ingredient. They also display the calories, protein, carbs on the online menus. It's awesome. I ate the Miso Glazed Salmon and at first I didn't think it would fill me up but they are good pettie s and I can say I was content and I did not feel as if I were tired or sleepy. We love this place, but they're sloppy. They need to get it together. We usually do take out and they always forget something, so double check your food. One time they forgot the dressing, another time the chicken or avocado, etc. Eating dry kale with no dressing is hard to eat. More than half the time they leave something out and it's always a major ingredient like chicken. Other than them making too many mistakes, we love the food here! read more
