I always ordered the harvest bowl when I lived in San Mateo and today I got burnt pieces of sweet potatoes. I told the staff and the response I got was. "They all kinda look like that". This is not necessarily a shout out. I'm irritated because I ordered a bowl and was charged $3 extra "because" it wasn't on the menu.. they had all the ingredients to make it. But he was rude about it. I've ordered this bowl at least 4 other times... and never have I ever been charged extra since it was an online bowl. Don't waste your time. LOVED this place! Stopped by here for the first time during the evening... and there was no line. Staff were helpful and explained the options. I went with a build your own bowl with 1/2 quinoa and 1/2 spinach plus all kinds of fresh veggies, chicken, and roasted mushrooms. The recommended dressing- green goddess ranch was delish! We came here tonight got the harvest bowl my husband and I shared it and it was Awesome! Super fresh, healthy and yummy! I got the balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side and also some pesto vinaigrette and kind of mixed the two a little bit on the salad and it was so yummy!! I love sweetgreen and all their other locations are seamless. But this one was just missing the mark. I understand it was opening day but shouldn't that mean you are prepared for every scenario? They ran out of sweet potatoes for the harvest bowl and that should mean I can substitute for anything I want since it wasn't my fault right? Nope. First time trying sweet greens. Two stars because staff were nice and also offered to substitute the cheese for me. The food was just okay but the protein portion was TINY. Got the *new* steakhouse chopped (paid over $18 after tax) and there was hardly any meat in it. It was all filler: lettuce, cabbage, and quinoa. And i understand it's a salad of sorts, but when you're buying a salad that is to have protein on it there should be much more for the price. Disappointed. I came here with a friend and I have to say was pleased with this place. It's difficult for me to eat "healthy" but this place made it easy and fulfilling. It essentially line a chipotle. You have bowls, sandwiches, salads that you can choose from the menu, but the. You can build your own, substitute any ingredient. They also display the calories, protein, carbs on the online menus. It's awesome. I ate the Miso Glazed Salmon and at first I didn't think it would fill me up but they are good pettie s and I can say I was content and I did not feel as if I were tired or sleepy. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of tables inside and out. It is a bit hidden located at the spectrum. We love this place, but they're sloppy. They need to get it together. We usually do take out and they always forget something, so double check your food. One time they forgot the dressing, another time the chicken or avocado, etc. Eating dry kale with no dressing is hard to eat. More than half the time they leave something out and it's always a major ingredient like chicken. Other than them making too many mistakes, we love the food here! read more

I haven't posted a yelp review in years but I've ordered delivery from here multiple times and at this point it's a 50/50 on whether or not what I actually order for will be in the bowl. You can't charge people for extras and then just decide or forget to include them consistently. Today I ordered a shroomami bowl and added blackened chicken, and of course the chicken I paid extra for isn't there.
