I wanted to share feedback regarding an experience I had at your restaurant on Saturday, May 9th, at approximately 12:02 PM. When I walked in, three young women were walking out at the same time, and the restaurant appeared empty. Because of that, I asked the hostess if the restaurant was open. She responded yes. I then asked if I could sit at the bar toward the back, and she again said yes. After I sat down, the hostess walked behind me toward what I assumed were two waiters. While I could not clearly hear everything she said, the two staff members then loudly repeated, "Are you open? Are you open?" in a mocking tone that made it obvious they were making fun of my question. At that point, I was already in the middle of ordering a beverage, but hearing staff openly mock me in an otherwise empty restaurant made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I decided to leave because it was clear I was not being treated professionally. I understand my question may have seemed unnecessary, but no customer should feel ridiculed for asking a simple question. I would appreciate it if management could please follow up with the staff involved regarding professionalism and respectful customer service. Thank you for your time. read more

Came here a few days ago and it's been years. The food was just as delicious as it is now after many years of not having been there for a while. Came here for a quick bite before the free Jai wolf show in sf bc we were hungry and sad to say it was quite disappointing.. the pizza was alright bc we were super hungry but literally the frozen cpk pizza tastes better to me than this.. the burnt ends flavor was okay to me, usually love their frozen bbq chicken pizza a lot but this was just alright for me. The Thai Asian style salad was lacking in the peanut sauce and they were nice to give us an extra sauce on side but had to flag down servers multiple times and there was only maybe 4-5 tables max at the time. I'll never not love CPK. It's such a comfort food spot for me with classic pizza flavors and great vibes. This location specifically is close to Market street and always has quick service! Each time you dine in, they also provide complimentary freshly baked bread with olive oil. SO DELICIOUS and is the perfect appetizer to open your stomach with. For food, I got the chicken lemon piccata and the original BBQ chicken pizza. The lemon piccata was the perfect balance of lemon and butter and savoriness from the capers, and chicken that was still soft and tender. The pizza was phenomenal! Iconic and home to CPK, this never disappoints and always leaves e wanting another bite. The taste was pretty good, not heavy on the toppings but a decent amount of cheese, and a nice and crispy crust. Not as low on the carbs as I would have liked, but surprisingly I liked the cauliflower crust better than the regular crust. You can't order for pick-up online in advance from this CPK location (according to the website), so that's an inconvenience. But the restaurant was clean and welcoming, with hardly any customers in sight, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and sufficient service. The takeout counter is to the left of bar. I used a gift card for my transaction, and though the employee who took my order seemed shy and new (she didn't know how to take giftcard payments), another staff member, possibly a supervisor, was very friendly, helping both the employee as well as myself. I was quoted 10-15 minutes for my pizza to be ready, and it took about 20 minutes. Parking is difficult in the area, but I got lucky finding parking a block away in the loading zone after 6pm on a weekday. read more

Sorry CPK, I legit had no idea that you even still existed, but last week I'm glad that you do. CPK was right across the street from my hotel and it kept staring at me when I looked out of my hotel room window. It was like, calling my name. At least it felt that way. Long story short, I had to see if it was still good after all of these years. Spoiler alert: it is! I only had one item and it was the Italian chopped salad. It was really tasty, the chop made it easy to eat, it was a big portion, and it wasn't all lettuce. They loaded it up with all of the other good stuff and I'd say it was about 50/50 lettuce to good stuff ratio. Friday night, family of four. We wanted to take a break from cooking, so we ordered food online through cpk's own website. it was cooked in downtown SF but, apparently, the delivery was handled through uber eats. the driver (who could not speak english) tried to deliver it to an address a half mile away. the address, as confirmed in our order email, was correct on our end. but the driver had a different address of mystified residents. the driver was supposedly not allowed to come to us to deliver without uber permission despite us sending him a screenshot of the correct order. CPK was unable to help in ANY way. they could only say they would take another order from us (without assuring us it would arrive) or to contact the general manager the next morning (which we did through the website). eventually, after 30 minutes of intense work trying (with google translate) to simply get our food, CPK/Uber terminated our order without us getting our food. We only got the money returned to us after many days. Despite us writing to the restaurant that night via the CPK website, no one bothered to contact us. apparently, no one values we customers enough to assure us that this disaster will not happen again. Although we were loyal CPK customers before, we have zero confidence in their ability to be a basic restaurant or service institution now. IF you are hungry or thinking about buying CPK gift cards or want to cater an office meal, I would say CPK 3rd Street is the very last place you'd ever consider. I was passing this place multiple times. Today I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, they even offer lunch special on Saturday. For $11.99, you get a 7" personal pizza and choice of salad or soup. This is very good deal for a lunch. Highly recommend it. Service is also excellent and deserves at least 20% tips. Ok first off it was the weekend of not only the Chinese New Year's parade but also the NBA all star game! Why they did NOT have a dedicated host/hostess working is beyond me! I am an 11yr bar/restaurant manager and on a day that is presumably forecasted to be busy this made no sense at all. I sat in the foyer for about a 1/2 hour and witnessed several parties come in likely very hungry and they waited until a server would come up to the front to seat them. The father of one party of four got so antsy he walked back to the dining room to find a server to seat his party! My mom and I got here at 11 for lunch. We were the first and only party inside, and it took quite some minutes before a server came over to take our drink order. We both ordered the bbq chicken chopped salad and I ordered the tomato bisque, and my mom the spaghetti. The first thing to arrive was our meals. I asked about the spinach artichoke dip, and our server said she never put in the order because she forgot. WHAT THE?!!! Why not write it down! As we were half way through our meal we were asked if we wanted bread. Again something that was supposed to come prior to the meal. The food was okay...bbq salad is always a nice treat. Not overly dressed, and everything tasted fresh. And the tomato bisque was thick with a nice tomato flavor. My mom ate her salad and kept the pasta for later that night.
