My wife and I were looking for something different for dinner tonight, so I went on Yelp and Swig & Swine caught my eye. We decided to give it a try. Street parking is limited, but we got lucky and found a spot close by. When we went in, we asked to sit at the bar, which was empty at the time, and we were able to watch the football game. The bartender greeted us quickly and took our drink order while we looked over the menu. We noticed the pimento cheese appetizer and asked how it was. The bartender recommended the jalapeño version and suggested getting pork rinds instead of crackers, mentioning we could do a half order of the pork rinds, so we went with that. For our meal, we shared the two-meat plate with brisket and ribs, and chose mac and cheese and beans as our sides. The appetizer came out sizzling and popping, which looked great. The pork rinds were just okay. Personally, I would have preferred them cut thinner and simply salted instead of seasoned with BBQ seasoning. The pimento cheese wasn't my favorite -- there wasn't much pimento, and even with jalapeños it wasn't spicy. I wouldn't order it again. When our food arrived, everything looked good. I started with the mac and cheese -- it was decent but lacked the crispy, browned cheese topping. The beans looked excellent, but once I started chewing them, they seemed undercooked and too firm. When I mentioned it to the bartender, I was told that's how they're supposed to be, but I think they would be better cooked a bit longer to soften them up. The brisket was very moist and had good flavor, but it was only lukewarm. I asked if the meat is always served that way, and the bartender explained that it's smoked and then kept warm. We were expecting pork ribs but received beef ribs instead. They were good, the bones were large and the meat was very hard on the outside but tender under neither. They were brushed with sauce to look great. We did look at dessert -- they looked very good and the portions are large. The peanut butter pie in particular looked great, but it's definitely big enough for three people. Overall, we were disappointed. The sides and meats were only lukewarm, and when we brought it up, we were told that's just how the food is served there. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us, and we likely won't be back. There's so many other places in Myrtle to try. read more

We're visiting from Massachusetts and this place hit the spot. We were craving barbecue but didn't want to drive anywhere far. Found this place high rating on trip advisor and it didn't disappoint. Good ambiance, good food, good prices and a great server Brandy. Wanted to give this place a fair review so we had yo try it all. I like to consider myself a bbq connoisseur so I had to give them a fair shot. Truthfully nothing stood out and was amazing, however everything was very good. Every meat was juicy and very tender. Brisket juicy but lacked a bit of seasoning and flavor, pork belly seasoned well and very tender, turkey very moist and flavorful, ribs were cooked perfect and sauced appropriately, sausage was very good and flavorful had a nice little kick on the back end, pulled pork was seasoned well, a little on the dry side for my liking, but still enjoyed it. My least favorite item was the smoked wings seasoned well but a little tougher for my liking. For sides we ordered Mac and cheese which tasted pretty good, potato salad which I enjoyed, a little more seasoning and it's absolutely perfect, then i substituted for the special green beans w/ garlic, onions and bacon, this one I had really high hopes for just lacked a bit on flavor. For dresser we had the peach cobbler which was absolutely delicious. All in all highly recommend this place if you want delicious BBQ at a reasonable cost. This family platter cost only about $78 dollars and probably feeds about 4-5 people. Want to give a shout out to our waitress Brandy she was very very kind to my family, extremely attentive, gave us her recommendations on items before we ordered as we've never been here. My family and I had a great experience and next time we're in the area we will be back with more hungry people. read more

Waited to be seated while the host chatted it up with a Togo order. Was a little weird he passed us a few times without saying anything. Definitely get the pork puppies!!! So good! Sauce is amazing. I got the brisket and hubby got the ribs. Both super good! I think if I returned I'd get the ribs bc I liked them better! The best side was the corn pudding. Coleslaw was ok, it wasn't cold, and I found a hair in mine. Hubby upgraded to the Mexican street corn. It was good. Not amazing. Mac n cheese was fine. We love this place! We go there once a month and are never disappointed! The staff and the food are top shelf! This particular Saturday i ordered the ribs. They were a little dry and not the amazing ribs that i had come accustomed to. I mentioned this to the server, but said that I was still going to eat them. Now this is where Swig and Swine are a level above the rest.....The manager came to our table and insisted on replacing my dinner (even though I was against that). He went ahead and brought out another half rack of ribs. They were amazing! As usual! I thanked him profusely. I thought that was great! When we were ready to leave we got the bill. The manager had removed the cost of my meal!!! Now that's a great restaurant! I highly recommend Swig and Swine! Best place in Myrtle Beach! read more

Just opened in March, 2024, this is the best BBQ restaurant in Myrtle Beach! The brisket burger almost made me cry! So delicious! Bring your appetite because the servings are quite large. What a great local barbecue spot! This was our third visit, and I am happy to say that the food and service are consistently good. My favorite is the beef brisket and pork belly platter with mac 'n' cheese and greens. Of course, we had to indulge in dessert, with chocolate pudding pie covered in homemade whipped cream and chocolate chips. It's a great place to come as a family or with a large crowd. The management team is very personable and proud of their service team, as they should be, because they have a great crew. Shout out to Kendall B! I believe the Myrtle Beach location is one of their newest restaurants, in an up-and-coming creative area that is being restored, not far from downtown MB or the Skywheel. This was our 3rd visit and definitely our most disappointing. We always have gotten the pulled pork and it is delicious, so this time my wife and I thought we would try something different. She got the pork skin nachos and was so disappointed way too spicy (tell the customer about spicy foods). I got the veggie plate it was ok but would not order again. But the kicker was our server I think his name was Evan was very attentive and came back several times asking if we needed anything but was slow on getting our check to us. The bill was $32.27 So I put $40 on the table when the check came. I was planning on leaving a 20% tip. He never brought our change back. The extra amount is not the problem. Never assume you were getting the entire amount of what you were given without asking hopefully management will read this and caution him on that. read more
