I have been coming here for years now and I have never been disappointed. This is my favorite sandwich spot.

Wanted to try something new & healthy for lunch around the area. Main thing that got me trying this place out was the pictures of a "healthy" meal with a $6.95 price tag. Let me tell you off the bat... NOTHING in this place is $6.95. The food is good, i'll give em that.. but the portion & the PRICE! OMG! Check out the picture of my lunch receipt. I could've lived with a half salad & half panini for $10.50... but when i got the bill including a small sized cup of their homemade Strawberry Lemonade (they do not offer free tap or iced water - u HAVE TO buy a drink) - its $5.00 FIVE dollars for a small drink. I was trying to digest the food and the price when i thought that hey maybe they'll give me a refill --- You guessed it right NO REFILLS. Oh gosh... just disappointed i guess. It was a $16.97 lunch -- Shakey's lunch BUFFET across the street would've been $13 even if i just ate salad. read more

I like coming here when I'm in the mood for a pressed panini or a warm sandwich. Service is great, it's quick and the food is so yummy. I was so happy when this place opened up in Sylmar. My favorite is the fix with regular aioli instead of chipotle aioli. I love their bread, its crispy and flaky but soft at the same time. I love that they have flavored San Pellegrino and Ms Vickies chips. They have good smoothies too! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

I can't write too much about this place because I didn't stay long and enjoy my meal properly. I had a tired child who was hungry and tired so I ordered my food and ate quickly but I definitely will say I highly recommend this spot. I ordered the chicken cilantro panini it was good but my highlight was the nutella croissant, oh my gosh that bad boy just melted in my mouth and was sooo yummy!!! The service here was very good, the restaurant was very clean, and the guy helping me was reallly nice. The wait time for the food can be a little long so if you plan on coming order ahead or don't mind waiting. They also have juices that look really good too. Oh and this place does not have a bathroom so if your looking for a bathroom you won't find it. read more

This is the place! Man I'm telling ya the flavor is on point with these sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Chicken Mushroom Panini. The pesto sauce is perfect, along side sautéed mushrooms, shredded chicken, and peppery arugula, this will satisfy you always. Although I'm fan of all these flavors combined, the shredded chicken was not my favorite. Over all a great experience! Will be coming back for more! read more

This place is a "HIDDEN GEM". It is located in the back of a plaza. You can not see it from the main street. Sylmar's fix is a little hole in the wall place that offers the best grilled and fresh paninis. When ordering it is very hard to make a choice. I tried the chicken pesto panini. Grilled Chicken, Pesto, Avocado, tomato and provolone cheese. It was orgasmic. Yes orgasmic!! It is the best panini i have ever tasted. Any other spot will have to go above and beyond to beat this place. I also had bites of "THE FIX" which is slices of turkey, tomato, avocado, mozzarella cheese and chipotle mayo. I want to try the Cilantro Chicken panini next. The staff was very friendly. The service was great. It took about 10-15 mins to get our order. The place also has a TV and they play sports when available. I also noticed this place delivers another plus!! read more

For Sylmar, Sylmar's Fix is a godsend. I had taught at Olive Jr. High back in the 1970's & 1980's, and Sylmar was pretty much a culinary desert with the possible exception of Pasta Michi, Italian; Kira, Russian; Dome Pochana, Thai, and some Mexican restaurants. Sylmar is still not exactly a culinary destination, but Sylmar's Fix is an introduction to a casual style of Italianate eating such as the Panini, & Salads introducing Aceto Balsamico dressing, Chevre or Feta goat cheese, Kalamata Greek brined olives, Grana Padana or "parmesan cheese". In fact, Sylmar's Fix is an introduction to elements of Italo-Greek Mediterranean cuisine albeit focused through an American fast food lens. Service is quick, friendly, efficient. It's fast order, fast out the door which is ideal for people with limited time for lunch. This is not the kind of leisurely lunch where you have an aperitivo of Cinzano, languidly go onto Antipasto, Pasta, and a Secondo & wine pairing with a Barolo, Barbaresco or Nero d'Avola, etc. There is no wine, beer, but there are some great frizzante, fizzy fruit sodas by San Pellegrino. One especially is great called Aranciata which in Italian means orange. It is lightly sweet, acidic, with a touch of bitterness from use of the zest that pairs well with the various Panini, wraps, & salads. My Tuscany Salad at $9.00 was very good. Composed of mixed "spring greens", which I got in autumn, roasted red bell peppers, Roma tomato, Kalamata olives, Feta cheese, ripe oily aguacate, & grilled chicken breast, which was a bit dry due to the fact they do not brine nor marinate the breast in wine to add moistness. I asked for the Aceto Balsamico dressing which was acidic, agrodolce (sweet/sour), tasting of aged red wine. Overall, it was a great salad that combined the salty, pickled/brined flavour of the Kalamata olives, funky, goatiness of the Feta, and was mellowed out by the greens & the rich oiliness of the aguacate. The only culinary faux pas may be that the chicken breast was too dry & ameliorating that situation would make for an exemplary salad. I took a bite of my friend's Chicken Cilantro Panini. The mishap here was that the Panini was toasted/grilled too long so that the bread became extremely DRY which did not add to a more agreeable gustatory sensation . The chicken meat as noted before was not brined nor marinated in wine so that the meat was also dry & desicated which did not add to the enjoyment of this sandwich. However, the cilantro sauce had a distinctive, herbal, pleasantly "soapy" accent that accentuated the rather bland,dry chicken. Less grilling/toasting of the Panini would make for a more pleasant mouthfeel which at this point of overtoasting made for a raspy, sandy unpleasant texture. If only the Fix could fine tune its culinary sensibility & technique, I would rate this 4 Yelp stars. As yet, there doesn't seem to be an awareness of the finer points in creating a more "haute cuisine" approach so that 3 Yelp stars are more apropos. read more

The juices are GREAT! no comment on the smoothies but the vegetable/fruit juice are very good with just the right amount of natural sugars. **ask for no ice as it waters it down** Juice, make your own: Beet + Carrot + Apple + Orange + Celery + Cucumber = $5 (24oz) The Paninis are good too. I had the CHICKEN MUSHROOM PANINI $6.95 DELIVERED so it means that the freshness of the press isn't there. Ate it after 1.5 hours of delivery, and it wasn't crunchy anymore but the flavor was there and it was very good still. Definitely must eat in house, since being wrapped up in foil for delivery obviously steams it to the point of meh-ness. Good stuff, i was surprised. read more

I heard about this place a few months ago and hadn't tried it. It's right by the place I get my nails done. Let me tell you for the price the food is yummy. I got the chicken pesto for dinner and it is a large sandwich, enough for the next day unless you are starving. I am so happy to find another place to eat here in Sylmar. This is really a gem. The best panini you can get for six bucks. Please note, I'm not saying this is the best panini I've had in my life (Mo Joe's in Berkeley) but it is definitely the best I've had at this price point. Thanks for making tasty food on the cheap! The fruit smoothies are good too. But stay away from their vegetable juices . You might think celery and pineapple could be surprisingly good, but you would be wrong. I love green juices/smoothies/the-drink-your-vegetables-movement, but this drink was all wrong. I still gave them five stars though because their are plenty of tasty items on their menu. Lets just pretend the celery juice (known as the Cholesterol Burner) is not even on the menu. read more

Hands down the best sandwiches in SFV!! Flavorful and nicely toasted. They used to deliver with a an order of $30 or more but due to covid that changed, either way its worth the pick up. Food was very cold and the service was terrible. I was told that the food will be delivered by 1:30 and it was here much earlier sitting on my front porch. It says the driver is supposed to contact you when he has delivered the food and he did not do that either. I have to say for such little food ordered and the service was terrible it was over 54.00 bucks .. what a rip off and never again will I order from here ! read more

It has been years since i've been back for a meal here and the classico has never let me down. Before i would occasionally order the cesar salad but i was really disappointed when they gave me a prepackaged dressing. Other than that the food is really good here and it seems they've gotten an update, which fits the neighborhood! Since they are in a plaza, parking is relatively easy to find. I'm only giving them 4 stars because i noticed they had a sign near the cash register that said they were understaffed and orders would take longer...not a problem! And maybe at the hour i was there it wasn't busy but the workers seemed bored and when we asked if they could refill the water, they didn't. read more

I recently discovered this hidden gem! I was looking for a Mediterranean Food on Yelp in this area. I realized that it was on the back of Sayre St and Foothill Blvd when driving to Mission College. This sit down casual place is so delicious! They serve Sandwiches and Soups that are more Italian! I have not tried their Pastas Dishes yet, but I plan to do it soon. I love Italian food! I am so in love with The Works which is a Panini Bread with aioli spread, avocado, arugula and melted cheese. I am always surprised on how delicious the food is. It is becoming my favorite spot aside from eating at a Japanese Restaurant, which is my favorite Cuisine. The Service is excellent, staff always greets you with a smile and is ready to ask any questions. The Owner is kind and Thanks you when you leave. I highly recommend this place if you are in a rush and you need to pick up a quick bite or you simply want to order lunch for your coworkers. Great place. A hidden gem in Sylmar and one of the few places I eat at in Sylmar. They have lots of options of salads, sandwiches, paninis, smoothies, and juices. I love their Caesar salad, turkey pesto panini, and apple delight smoothie. They have easy take out and through grub hub as well through yelp app. Always friendly, quick service, and delicious food. I walked in at 11:00 the only other person here already had her food to go ready. Instead of the cashier acknowledging me she answered 3 phone calls before even saying anything. So here I stand waiting 12 mins to order. What she should of done is take my order since I got here first and place that call on hold if need be. My only complaint. The service was rude and indifferent, I went there on 9/30/24 around 2:00PM. There were two people dining inside when I walked up to the counter and waited approximately 5 minutes before I received acknowledgment of my presence. During that time there was a young woman preparing a panini who didn't even look my way who was engaged in a conversation with another employee. The other employee was eating on the very table that prepared food for customers. I thought that was gross. That employee didn't look my way either. She was probably taking lunch and couldn't be bothered. The employee that was working came to take my order and didn't acknowledge how long I waited and curtly said "do you know what you want ". I ordered and waited for my sandwich. When she called out my order I walked to the counter and she gave me my bag of food then promptly questioned in a confused manner "what did you order?". I told her and then she took the bag back and handed me a different bag which was the correct order. I like their food but it will be a while before I go back there again. read more

I'm so happy that this gem of a place exists so close to home. The local Subway has some serious competition with Sylmar's Fix, and you'll know why when you take your first time into the crispy, creamy, savory chicken pesto panini--their Number 1 seller (according to Yelp). The prices are relatively more pricey ($9.50 for that sandwich), I will admit, but my review is solely based on the quality of food. The roasted chicken on its own was delicious, savory and tender--more than what could be said for many, many other restaurants that have served me some of the blandest and rubbery pieces of chicken, ever. I also tried their chicken mushroom panini, their primavera salad and their smoothies. Everything was so darn delicious. The customer service was top-notch as well. It's too bad the store is in an isolated area in a huge plaza that has great potential, so I won't be surprised seeing some more livelihood being brought in to this area in the next few years. Hate to say though, that Sylmars Fix should be KEPT FAR AWAY FROM and this comes after loving them for years. HOWEVER, with that said - I will never go back to Sylmars Fix - Our entire Office ordered lunch there for Admin Asst Day and out of the 16 of us - 10 of us got food poisoning - ALL EATING THE CHICKEN PESTO - Not sure what the new owners have done to a place that WAS so amazing but the quality and price dont add up to what once was. As of today - 1 month later, my stomach is STILL not back to feeling normal. I always get The Fix because I'm a chipotle and avocado lover. I usually get my orders delivered to my job site, but I recently decided to call it in and pick-up. Only complaint would be that they do not take "future orders" meaning, if you plan to pick it up at 11am, you'll have to call in your order at 10:50 so it's ready by 11am. You can not call them at 10:30 and tell them you'll be there at 11. They will make your order at 10:30 am and it may be cold by the time you pick it up at 11. This may be an inconvenience for some. Despite of it, it's AMAZING and all though I won't be working in Sylmar for long. I will definitely be coming back! ^^^ previous post. Not sure what happened but I think they raised their prices.
