First time trying Sylmar's Fix after seeing them on Yelp over and over again. If anyone has ever had Il Tram in Studio City or Beverly Hills, their chicken pesto is identical minus the sun dried tomatoes. In my opinion, no panini can be compared to Il tram however this place comes very very close. The workers here are very nice both on the phone and in person. Pricing is definitely fair however the food was okay. I ordered the chicken pesto panini and my fiancé ordered a tuna and turkey panini. We also ordered a Nutella croissant as well as 2 Chill out smoothies. We got home and noticed that instead of 2 paninis we had 3. Instead of doing a tuna and turkey panini they did a separate tuna and a separate turkey panini. They didn't charge us for it so I think it was a mistake on the chefs end. The paninis were a bit dry. Flavor was great but bread to meat/filling ratio was off. Too much bread and not enough inside. The bread was pretty stale. The Nutella croissant was hard. Not rock hard but you know when croissants are old and the edges get hard? Ya that kind of hard. Overall food was okay but the smoothies were super good 10/10. Try The Fix panini, it's great! They have a lot of different options to choose from. I like the aioli sauce in the The Fix, it has a little bit of spiciness to it which I love. Their horchata shake and fresh juices are also really good! Love the works sandwich, just move to the area and been here couple Of times for the food. The 1 star off is lack consistent pricing. Website and yelp have lower prices, however you walk in every item is $3 more, not that $3 is going to kill me but when you order a few sandwiches it adds up. I told the owners 2x now about the price and she stated it's been the same price for the last 5 years. I told her and showed her that Yelp menu photo was updated 9 months ago. So actually pretty good paninis in Sylmar. Kind of a hole in the wall, so glad that one of my friends took me here cause I honestly probably wouldn't have thought to go here. We got lucky as we got here right before the lunch crowd otherwise it seemed we would've waited a bit. Paninis are made to order and cooked perfectly! ... nice and crisp (as they should be) and packed with flavor!! We've ordered from here several times for business lunches / meetings and things have been fine, until today. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad and I'm not too sure the "chicken" was actually chicken. Didn't look like, taste like, or feel like a real grilled chicken breast. After two bites (second bite for confirmation) I moved it to the side and finished the rest of the salad. I understand businesses are struggling financially right now and might need to cut product costs, but please, update your menus / notify your customers accordingly. For the longest time, I wanted to go go to this place until I found it. They were hard to find since they are behind the shopping center. The fist time, I ordered their turkey pesto with avocado panini and it was delicious. That became my favorite sandwich and ordered it a few times. Two-Three weeks ago I called in an order while I was down the street. When I got there, the lady was preparing it (I believe she may have been Asian) as she was making my sandwich, she was wearing gloves but, she was touching everything including answering the phone. She never changed her gloves and continued to make my sandwich. I asked her to change her gloves, she didn't do it. I paid for it abs are it since I was literally loosing my mind due to hanger. I am not going back there again since hygiene is not part of their practices. Abs if that happens while I am watching, I cannot imagine what happens behind the scene.
