"Congrats! You're a regular!!" is what my Yelp badge read when I checked in for the X time. So I figured let's celebrate by ordering something I haven't tried before.... The house pasta salad.... Epic fail for my taste buds. I had two bites and knew it wasn't for me. Which is ok because I figured, "Hey, just take it back, explain to them I wasn't happy, could I switch it out for my usual, Sylmar's Fix." Not like I'm asking for my money back... Easy fix right!?!?! WRONG! The lady behind the counter was so rude!!! I asked her if I could EXCHANGE it for something else and that I would pay the difference... And this lady acted a if I was returning a used worn out pair of shoes. Her reply, "WE ARE LOSING MONEY." My response, "Well, you could potentially lose customers [with that customer service attitude] too." She continued to make it appear as if she was doing me this grand favor....She then proceeded to tell me that I would have to wait behind all these other orders (because the first thirty minutes that I waited to get my groups entire order didn't count apparently). 20 minutes later...She calls "Sylmar's Fix" with the ugliest attitude. It was disappointing for me because I love the Sylmar's fix sandwich...hopefully Mr. Carlos, whom I have had the actual privilege of meeting before, can have a talk with his employee and possibly explain to her what good customer service means ... I found this place on yelp. The location is hard to find so let me start there. It is located BEHIND the Vons and Chase shopping center .Once you get there dont be confused, this heaven does exist just swing around to the back. Once you ente you'll notice the kitchen is located in the front so you can see your food being made when you order it. All the sauces are also made from scratch. Carlos is the head honcho there and he's had the shop for two years now. Great service and good food. We ordered two smoothies and a chicken wrap and the chicken pesto panini and we were NOT disappointed one bit. There are also salads and great combo meals that include half a panini and side of salad for $6!!! This place has the best panni's in the world. We had wanted to try this place for so long, because it's really low key, like a secret in Sylmar. The locals know this is the best place in town for lunch or early dinner. I ordered the CranCrave which had a bit too much brie but tasted so good I didn't care. Tried this place for the first time today. I ordered the veggie sandwich and penne w/marinara sauce & toast. In response to previous reviews I see everyone complaining about price, customer service, and manager. My sandwich was really good. A nice filler. Cheese melted perfectly and I'm very picky about that. Pasta was a simple penne. I like simple. So don't expect Cheesecake Factory pasta. I'd get both these items again. I even had some left over pasta to take home. Prices are a bit high BUT I was filled with my food. If this was Burbank, Pasadena, or a nicer location. Prices here wouldn't be a big deal. Absolutely love this place!! Came in around the lunch hour and it wasn't that busy at all! They have a lot of different options. I ordered the fix sandwich which is a panini turkey, mozzarella, spinach, avocado, amazing aioli sauce and tomato (which I opted out of). The sandwich was a perfect size not to heavy not to small. I love the sandwich because it has a lot of flavor even my husband ate it and wanted more. Also you can't beat the prices of these sandwiches. I also ordered the citrus blend and it was really delicious! Definitely can't find a smoothie that taste like this at Jamba Juice. The place is a little hard to find the best way to describe it is like my sister said where the old golds gym use to be. Pannini Love!!!! This place was great!!!! A little tough to find but definietly a diamond in the rough. It was my frist day of jury duty @ San Fernando courthouse & the only great thing about that day was my Pannini from Sylmar Fix. Once again i yelped what was nearby & found the fix. Its located in what it looked like was an abandoned shopping center, i actually almost passed right by it. Its right next door to a little beauty salon & has a banner as its sign on the outside of the building. When i walked in I saw alot of business people sitting in groups having their lunch. They had about 12-14 tables inside this little place...but dont judge a book by its cover...they turn out the most deliciousssss panninis & sandwiches for being so tiny. They have a lunch special, 1/2 a sandwich & half a salad & a drink for around $6 bux. I opted for a full sandwich, chips & a drink & paid a little under $10. I ordered the Turkey pesto (hold the tomatoes please), jalapeno chips & a bottled water. The dude @ the counter was superrrrr nice, took my order, gave me a number & i sat at a nearby table & waited for my amazing pannini to grace my pallette. Finally got my order & headed back to the courthouse to eat my lunch in the park. The pannini bread was absolutely delicioussssss and they must have a pretty great pannini toaster/griller to get the grill on it so perfect!!! cheese was melted & the pesto sauce on it with the avocado was perfection!!!! Iv had panninis in the past that have been a tad bit soggy when they add a sauce or pesto but this one there was no sogginess to be found. They have alot of different choices for grilled sandwiches & also cold sandwiches & a great selection of salads. Will definitely be back to try their other panninis but this is definitely a good find in the valley for sandwich & pannini lovers!!!! And for those who have been blessed with jury duty....make your way over there you will thank me later!!! The sandwiches are just too good. I love the Chicken Cilantro, the chicken/turkey pesto, my bf loves the Arugula salad w/ Avocado. I am a big fan of the juices. My go-to is the MAUI in a large. Its very tasty, you will thank me later. My only knock off of the star is 2 things. 1... the hours. I wish they were open a little later or at least on Sundays (I know you all need a day off also, so you are forgiven) and 2. the phones!! please do not leave us on hold for over 10 minutes and not come back to the line or hang up on us. I am giving is place a "0" for customer service . I placed an order initially for four sandwiches only got one sandwich. Call them back to let them know that they made a mistake on my order. They apologized and said they would make the other three sandwiches and to come back in 10 minutes. I again return 10 minutes later and my sandwiches were never done. I spoke to Melissa in regards to my sandwiches and she said she didn't have them done when I told her I did not want them any longer because I had been made to return twice. if this is how you treat your customers then I am sorry to tell you that you will not be in business much longer and I asked to speak to a manger/owner and she did not want to tell me who it was. She did not want to connect me to the owner or the manager she said she was in charge and I'm sure that if she was in charge she wouldn't be treating customers that way. This is most definitely a lunch spot. Went just yesterday around 12:30 p.m and there was a pretty long line. With the busy hour, the employees looked a little crazed. They claimed my order was being made and I wait about 30 mins when I was told to wait 20 mins. Later, they found out my panini was done all along. All that wait for nothing!
