We recently hosted a work event and had it catered by this wonderful team. Attempting to organize all of the logistics, thinking of what can go awry, and worrying about whether or not the order would be complete are just a few things to consider. However, even with last-minute modifications and additions, we received our order on time and complete. Not only was the food superb, but the lunch boxes were individually packaged and labeled. They can have good paninis but the way they handle costumer service/ common courtesy can make someone not go back. I ordered 2 chicken pestos with a large salad. When we got there the girl charged me and didn't tell us our panini wouldn't come complete. The chicken pesto is suppose to have avocado. We were going to take it to go but we decided to sit and when we noticed our pesto panini did not having the avocado we approached her and told her. Her response " we didn't have any avocado today" so then I went back to her that if there wasn't avocado that it should reflect the price. she said " I meant we ran out mid day and u places your order before mid day. " but yet when we picked it up she didn't bother to let us know ??( common courtesy). Im reading a lot of bad reviews just on her, I'm assuming she's related to the owner. I would usually enjoy eating at this hidden gem however I regret to say that I won't be coming back. I received pasta with spoiled cheese that smelled incredibly strong and spoiled. A usual dish I order. I also received a smoothie that tasted like it had been made with spoiled yogurt. Another smoothie I usually ordered frequently. I had been very understanding with the situation because they were extremely busy at the time and they were giving me glares and attitude and had even announced that there was 'nothing wrong with the smoothie or pasta' and that I just 'didn't like the flavor' which was ironic considering those were usual items for me. I was quite surprised with how good the Tunalicious was. There has been a lot of hype going around with the Tunacado from Joe and the Juice, but this surpasses that 100%. The tuna tasted very fresh. I tried this spot for the first time today. I ordered delivery.... About 25 minutes later our delivery driver (grub hub) actually texted me letting me know they were out of banana shakes, and if I wanted to replace with a smoothie. No biggie, then driver again texted w/eta and letting me know they refunded me for my breakfast bagel and that he would arrive with my food in 5 min. Really? The food delivery driver was the one letting me know instead of the actual restaurant? They could have told me as soon as they received my order that they were out of bagels so I could order a different option for my family member. Upon arrival of my order I then noticed my detox juice was also missing! I called the restaurant and the girl that answered just said " o yeah we are refunding you for the juice too". So, one of my family members didn't get food, so we shared and I didn't get my drink. Terrible communication on the restaurant's behalf. They could have let me pick a replacement sandwich and drink instead of just refunding literally right before my food got delivered. I have been coming here since it first opened and it recently switched to new ownership . Fortunately, the service and taste have remained intact! I've tried several items on their menu and still my favorite is their Chicken Caesar Wrap! "The Fix" panini is also another favorite! Their menu varies from paninis and wraps to pasta options as well. Sometimes I also like coming here after the gym to get a natural pressed juice. They have a few options and we'll as smoothies. Additionally, they have a stand with chops and a refrigerator with other beverage options like bottled water, Snapple and more. There is ample dining space and despite constant customer flow the service is prompt and orders are served promptly. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area. read more

There are very few places in San Fernando to get really good food, and fewer still if health consciousness is a factor. For 8 years now, I have ordered periodically from Sylmars Fix. Over the course of the past year which has seen my work shift to remote, I have occasionally found myself lacking in time or resources to prepare lunch, and have leaned on this place for healthy options and quick turn around. My go to the last 5 months has been the Arugula Salad with Chicken. In the attached photo, you will see on the left what it looked like the first time I ordered it on February 6th. I don't always take pics of my food, but was really impressed with the look of this salad, and snapped a pic for my Wife, as it seemed like something she would enjoy. Since then, over these past 20 weeks have ordered this salad 10 times. There have been occasional consistency issues, but nothing major. Then came today. I opened the bag to see the normally flavorful and beautiful piece of grilled chicken was missing, and in its place, a sliced BREADED processed previously frozen chicken patty that frankly looked more like a slice of bread than anything actually resembling chicken, and a tiny little dollop already browning avocado. How the F--- dare you! If you are out of an ingredient, call the customer and let them know. Do not go to Food For Less and pick up some sub par substitute and try to pass it off like I'd never notice. This salad is $14 before tax, which when properly prepared is still a little on the pricey side, but what I was given today would have been overpriced at 50% off. I had to remove the nasty 'might have been chicken at some point' and the sad avocado and basically had a bowl of arugula and shaved parm. For $14 I suppose this will encourage me to stop spending my money on take-away. This has just lost you a long term customer. Caveat Emptor read more

Definitely a great sandwich shop. Located in a nondescript rear back lower level of the Sylmar Square shopping center. You would never know it was here unless someone told you about it, you stumbled upon it or you found it while searching through Yelp. I've eaten here probably 5-6 times but never posted about it. All the sandwiches have been delicious. It's been a little while since I ate here last so I'm not recalling what my previous sandwiches were but today I shared a Chicken Cilantro panini and a arugula house salad with avocado and parmesan cheese. The sandwich had a nice crunch with tons of flavor. I've noticed that the prices have gone up since my last visit. The sandwiches use to be $5.95 now they are $9.50. That's a bit excessive. The price is more than it should based on location, it is Sylmar not Montrose or Pasadena but the shopping center has been going through major renovation so it's possible that their rents increased? Poor customer service, I ordered 3 paninis. I usually check my order before going home but I've never had an issue. I get home to only two paninis and my daughters panini is missing, I called and the woman didn't apologize for their mistake and she said well you can pick up or give you store credit and I told her I would go pick it up. I was kind, but I didn't get the same energy returned. Once I arrived she told me it will come up rn, so I waited once it was ready she handed it to me, again she didn't acknowledge the mistake on their behalf, and I still kindly said "Thank You " when she handed me the order she just turned away. Which to me felt very rude. I had to drive back just to go get my sandwich for my daughter and that's the kind of customer service she gave me ? I would say that wasn't very kind on her end. Hot day in San Fernando and I was craving something light and refreshing. Found Sylmars Fix on Yelp and dropped in. It's a little hidden and in the back of a strip mall. Plenty of parking. The inside is small and can fill up fast and boy did it. I had the Tuscany salad with chicken. It was so tasty. Packed with veggies, avocado and perfectly grilled chicken. It was a pretty big portion but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Staff is very friendly. They also sell smoothies and I probably would have gotten one but the place doesn't have bathrooms. Their located in a shopping strip mall area off of Foothill blvd. and they have tons of parking. All the workers were masked up and they did have signs posted about all customers being masked up as well.
