We ate here yesterday and I got horrible food poisoning, I think it was from the chili oil that's left out on the tables. This was the worst food poisoning I've ever had, up all night violently vomiting, almost went to the emergency room. The food was oily and bland, it seemed to all be reheated as well. Been here twice, passing through town. I guess I didn't remember how meh the first time was, so checking Yelp for good restaurant reviews in the area, I returned. If you like Japanese food, and know what good tempura is, don't bother with this place -- their tempura is awful. This place specializes in heavily oiled dishes, the kind that makes you feel eeew within an hour or two. This is Chinese food for gringos, nothing good or exceptional about it. But if you haven't traveled, then I guess it's hard to know how much better Szechuan, and other Chinese cuisines, can be. I won't give them a third chance to disappoint. read more

My family and I stopped by this area after camping at Westport Beach. We had been driving for a few hours and were starving for lunch! We were glad to stop by here because they accommodated my huge family of over 10 people! (And my dog) They have a mixture of Chinese and Japanese food. It was pretty interesting. I stuck with the Chinese food section of the menu and ordered the fried rice and the honey walnut prawns. My family and I all shared. A lot of the food was very delicious! I was not a fan of the thai iced tea. It was not very strong, and tasted mostly like sugar. Besides that, I thought the service and the food for the location was pretty decent! I have to say that today was beyond the worse experience i have ever had with customer service. The waiter upon finishing our meal took the food out of my a family members hands upon clearing the table and i was yelled at to go sit down upon trying to pay my bill.... No matter how good the food is if you cant offer great customer service the experience is unpredictable and not worth repeating. Stopped here for lunch on our way through from Ft. Bragg. It's on a little side street but a great find. Very friendly and attentive service. Looks like it's great for sushi but we wanted Chinese lunch. It was a Tuesday and we didn't see any combo lunch specials which would have saved us from getting the Combo meal for 2 which was way too much food. The Hot sour soup was excellent and the Spicy Pork was good too. I liked the flavor of the Kung Pao chicken but the chicken was a bit rubbery. I saw the Pot Stickers they looked yummy. The service was super attentive, maybe a little too much? The guy was arranging our plates and being weirdly polite/extra. I know it sounds odd to complain about that but it got uncomfortable. The ambiance was nice and the menu was huge. The food was hit and miss. My friend got sushi and said it was ok. I had some noodles that were nasty. I ate what I could but it was seasoned with what tasted like rancid sesame oil? The meat made me gag. It turned my stomach and now 7 hours later I'm feeling nauseous and I keep burping up the taste of the what little I could swallow. My hotel recommended them for delivery. I called and got a pretty large order for two for delivery at the hotel. Specified I was at the hotel and room number. They delivered, but they didn't include any kind of plates, utensils, soy sauce, or napkins. We were trying to eat from the little white boxes with our hands. This did not go well with the soup. I went up to the hotel office to see if they had utensils. I searched through my car to look for takeout leftover utensils. By the time I got things, the food was cold! I wasn't impressed with the golden fried prawns, either. I told the receptionist in the lobby that if they're going to recommend a place, they ought to recommend someplace that knows that they need to bring eating implements for the take-out order when they are delivering to a hotel. We also ordered a catapiller roll that was so scrumptious and appealing to the eyes. The place is inviting and the artwork adds to the ambiance. The veggies were super fresh in the Thai soup with tomatoes, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, green bell peppers, onions, and carrots which paired perfectly with the spice and coconut milk. I'm pretty sure it's vegan friendly and it was perfectly spicy. So good! The sushi roll was killer, great plating and was gone so fast!
