    Carne asada
    Alice L.

The way this restaurant is set up is just weird IMHO. You walk through the door wondering if you ended up in the back service area. Its busy & loud & crowded & its the only way through the restaurant, so you maneuver through that food service area, trying not to get in the way, thinking you'll find the hostess stand at the other end. Nope. So you navigate back to the food service area to find out you seat yourself. Upon seating yourself, service is attentive & prompt. They ran out of all the specials, so I ordered the carne asada, which was quite tender. Its a family friendly restaurant, so if you want to be able to hear & talk with your dining party, this may not be the best setting. Food - 4 stars Atmosphere - 2 stars

Been coming to this place for over four months now ! I typically come here at least every other week !! the service is always great and very attentive. you can tell they work very hard and love what they do ! the food always comes out hot and you can tell it's freshly made. The loaded queso and chicken tacos is our stable ! We always come for the strong margaritas as well. Personally I love the frozen ! came here for happy hour the other day, got 3 margaritas and it was $19.50 before tip ! Tuesdays they have taco deals as well ! happy hour 3 to 6 on the weekdays. what I love about this place the patio is dog friendly and the atmosphere is cozy ! Friendly staff !

On my quest to find the best tacos in the world I came across a restaurant tucked away in a small community called T.B.D Kitchen. It is a small restaurant draped in very color ambiance and a spacious patio. We sat at the bar where Shelby our bartender helped us pick out tacos and suggested the house margarita. The taco menu is very simple they have beef steak, Mexican Chorizo, Carnitas and pulled chicken. It was Taco Tuesday so each Taco was $2.00 dollars and the margaritas was $5.00 dollars each. Shelby suggested we try the beef taco mixed with the chorizo and the carnitas tacos. I was a little skeptical because not all chorizo is good. For a girl that does not normally eat pork I was on the fence about the carnitas also. Nonetheless we ordered the tacos how it was suggested. We got our margaritas first and they were good. Just the right amount of alcohol and it did not have that after taste that some margaritas have. Now real margarita drinkers know exactly what I am talking about it. Our food came out pretty quickly. I tried the carnita taco first. The pork is fried but moist on the inside and seasoned very well. The second taco was the mixed with beef, Mexican chorizo, light onions and cilantro. OMG this taco combination is Fire! Like literally Fire! The beef was cooked perfect the chorizo was spicy and melted in your mouth. The only thing that could have made this taco better was cheese, which they will happily put on your tacos if that is what you want. The combination of good food, good drinks and great people you can't go wrong with choosing T.B.D Kitchen.

This is definitely a hidden gem In Lewisville. Highly recommend the food! I had the portabella fajitas and the burrito. I was surprised on how good it was. Reasonable pricing too for $12. Great hostess. You won't be disappointed.

CHILAQUILES .. what looks like cheese is actually a light cream sauce. So good!

Great Brunch! Had the CHILAQUILES. Huge plate of the best stuff you will ever put in your mouth! Oh and what looks like cheese is actually a light Mexican cream sauce. So Good! Go. Thank me later.

Nothing beats taco Tuesday at TBD with its $5 margaritas (always skinny) and $2 tacos. I've tried lots of their other options as well and have never been disappointed. My current favorite is their fried Brussels sprouts with a little queso. While there isn't a play area at this location the restaurant is definitely family friendly.

This is not Tex Mex, so if you're looking for beef fajitas or enchiladas or something, this isn't the place. I got one of each of the street tacos, and all of them were super good (I personally am not a carnitas fan, so I didn't love that one). The drinks were super good too, I forget what mine was called, but it was pink and had tequila so I was a happy camper. The tortillas were soft and fluffy, the meat was super juicy, and the salsa was just the right amount of spicy. The chorizo was perfect, and even the chicken, which tends to be boring, was flavorful! I'd go back and bring friends!

I was extremely excited to try this place but it just didn't live up to the great reviews I read. I came in on a Friday around 7pm and it was pretty crowded. They still had couple tables open but it took a while to get seated because the servers were all busy. We ordered fairly quickly and got the mahi tacos, one of each street taco except chorizo, and the Alambre tacos. Unlike most Tex-mex places, they don't offer chips and salsa and I didn't mind that at all but we ended up waiting 45+ min for our food and I was starving by that time. If you're gonna make customers wait that long for their order, you might as well offer something. Once our food arrived, I devoured one mahi taco and it tasted extremely bland. Turns out, they forgot to give me the sauce that comes with it. I tried the alambre tacos and those were much better! There was a ton of flavor and the bell peppers and cheese tasted delicious! If I were to come again, I'm going to avoid the busy dinner rush by coming much earlier or for lunch on the weekend.

We went in on a Sunday afternoon so it was not too busy at the time. My girlfriend and I like to be seated at a "low top" because she has back issues with climbing up into higher seating. We don't mind waiting for that as inside "low tops" are limited. The hostess was very nice, as they always are. She took us to the middle of the venue to seat us and then walked away while we were waiting on our server. I stood up to walk around the table so that I could sit next to her instead of across from her. She stood up to move over and pulled out the chair next to her so she could sit back down. At that moment the new general manager walked up, and without offering any explaination, took the chair out of my girlfriend's hand and said, "We need this table for another party." He walked away and left us standing there without offering us another solution, and apology or calling the hostess over to seat us elsewhere. We were left standing there dumbfounded and looking around unsure of what to do. We started walking back toward the front of the venue as we spotted another open "low top" near there. At that same time the female hostess saw what had happened to us, and she started to walk toward us. Meanwhile, another male server - acting as host - seated some people at the new table we were about to get to with the hostess. We got mad and said, "it feels like someone is playing a game on us!" The hostess apologized as she could see we were aggitated. It was not her fault, and we do not blame her. We blame the rudeness of the general manager. We left to go eat somewhere else. This is not the first incident with this general manager, though. A few days prior, we were eating in there and had a good vantage point of one of the side kitchen entries off to the left of the bar toward the ffront half of the venue. A bus boy sloshed water all over the floor while moving wet dishes in a container back into the kitchen. He didn't have a chance to clean it up because he was buy walking back and forth doing other things. No big deal. The general manager walks up and proceeds to yell at another female server about the water who had absolutely nothing to do with the spill After she walks away, he did not take any real care to clean the spot up himself. He comes back after a minute to clean it up but not with a mop or anything. He takes two towels off the bar and mushes it around on the floor with his foot. He , then, proceeds to kick the wet towels under the bar before walking away. Talk about a safety and hygene issue. This kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. He does not treat his venue or his staff very nicely. We wantedd to get up and tell the other female server that we were sorry for her. This venue would be great if they would fire this rude and sloppy general manager. It's a shame because this used to be one of our favorite venues to go to all the time. The experience is starting to feel cheapened and sullied now.
