Just left this location. Let me just say that my server was awful. Took awhile to be greeted but as a server myself, understand. He was put out by every little thing and just seemed annoyed by his job. Heard other tables around us mention their orders were wrong and he was combative and had an answer for every issue claiming it was not his fault. 10 years ago I would of given this place 2 stars we have been occasionally going there the past 6-8 years and the menu is totally new. The food is excellent, the service is good, and the prices are just right. We ALWAYS order the same 2 appetizers because they are so yummy...Nachos, Corn Flake batter chicken fingers, among other items. We are always pleased with what we order and usually have to bring leftovers home, because the portions are decent. The decor is casual and could us some upgrades, but all in all..the food and service are just right! This place has a good childrens menu too and adjustments are easily made to accomadte your kids and their picky eatting habits! read more

This is just simply a great dining experience. We typically eat in the bar and the bar staff will make anyone feel like family within the first 10 minutes. Chef Nicole offers a wide selection of all on-site prepared meals as well as some always interesting seasonal specials. Believe it or not, even the ketchup is home-made. Everything we've ever ordered over the years has been a delight and they've gone out of their way to accommodate our special requests. I don't know about their steaks (this is a steak joint after all), but I'd suggest staying away from the veggie pizza. It was essentially warmed veggies on a cold dough/bread. Also, like a review above indicates, a fair amount of salt shows up in the food. We had the chicken lettuce wrap for an appetizer. Love the concept but very salty! They make really great drinks and their service is awesome! My boyfriend and I go there all the time and all of the staff is really friendly! An ice-cold Sam Adams in a frosted mug, a crispy Caesar salad with a nicely balanced dressing, a mountain of cheese and beef-covered tortilla chips, and a thick, juicy 16 oz prime rib means I ate WAAAAY too much. Stopped here with my kids prior to heading to Screamfest at Canobie Lake. We started with buffalo wings that were god but typically we would like them cooked a bit more crispy so in the future we would order them that way. I had the turkey dinner which was okay but turkey lacked a lot of flavor. The rest of the components of the meal (mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, cranberry sauce) were all tasty. Both kids had the kids burger and were pleasantly surprised when their meal was served with a chocolate chip cookie. We would definitely return. read more

Came in for lunch and was greeted with a smile! Our waitress was a sweetheart and quick with or appetizer which was amazing! Cornflake boneless buffalo chicken. Buffalo sauce and blue cheese served on the side with fresh carrots and celery. We were offered fresh bread which was so tasty I told my husband I wish I could duplicate it. My husband ordered the jalapeño crunchy onion burger and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the C.B.C chicken sandwich, which is always amazing and really enjoyed their house made chips. The price was a little higher than I wanted but every bite was worth it. The desert menu had some great items on there too. Including a gluten free brownie treat!! We will definitely be back. They are also hosting a 30% off your entire bill special on Wednesdays if you can show proof that you work on a weekend day. This is the best family dining American style chain-ish restaurant around! Everything is home made there from the meals right down to the sauces. The burgers are A+ here and are very juicy+tender. I got the meat loaf last night and it was the best I've ever had! It's served with garlic mushrooms with a BBQ sauce over it. They have a tasty complimentary bread served warm with butter. It's a wheat bread with a garlic salt dusting. My favorite appetizer on the menu is the bacon cheddar fries... Definitely a different take on your run of the mill potato skins. They are potato medallions topped with melted cheese and bacon served with a side of sour cream and their house made bacon bbq sauce. The service here that I've seen has always been so friendly but not fake or pressured. Keep up the great job T-Bones! read more

My family came up for a visit and we were just looking for a place where we could sit down and eat and T-Bones was the first place we came across. Lucky for us! It was pretty busy at 1pm on a Saturday but we were able to be seated within 15 minutes. They give you a fresh loaf of bread that was warm and sweet. The menu is pretty extensive, traditional American fare with some pretty creative sandwiches. The menu declares that everything is "made from scratch" and I believe them. My turkey sandwich was definitely a turkey breast that had been sliced and not just a sliced deli turkey loaf. And they have homemade potato chips which were so good! The service was a little slow, but it was a Saturday afternoon and we weren't really in a hurry to go anywhere. I will definitely be making my way back to T-Bones! read more

This is definitely a solid option with an extremely versatile menu. Positives: -The food was all-around solid -The menu has options for almost any appetite -The service (waitress, cook, etc.) had great timing and was not pushy Negatives: -There was no standout, "must come back", portion of the meal -The portions seemed a little bit skimpy in terms of sides (nothing serious) A friend and I went to T-Bones on Wednesday, June 6th. We arrived at approximately 7 PM and were immediately seated. We both ordered a drink to start off (beer and wine) and those were delivered promptly. This was a sign of things to come in a good way. The waitress was fairly prompt and, despite staying at a table for two hours, she never tried to rush us out. The food came out of the kitchens at a rapid pace, and both of our meals (admittedly not the most complicated dishes) were delivered fast and hot. I did see that some tables had a bread basket, which is sometimes complementary at restaurants, but may not have been here. My guest ordered a standard cheeseburger, which came with steak fries, and I ordered the grilled Gouda, tomato, and basil sandwich, which came with potato chips. We also started off with the Homemade Espinachos, a tortilla chip and cheese/spinach dip appetizer. The appetizer came out fast, and I will say, I was a bit disappointed. For a nine dollar appetizer, there were a paltry amount of tortilla chips. The dip was also pretty close to your standard, bottled cheese dip from the supermarket. It tasted fine, but was lacking the spinach influence implied by the description and was pretty mediocre. If I go back, I will probably go for a different appetizer. I cannot speak to the cheeseburger, but it looked pretty tasty: It was 10 dollar burger, cooked medium to medium well, and I heard no complaints from the other side of the table. My grilled cheese was very good. There was a substantial amount of Gouda, which worked really well with the other flavored. The bread was lightly grilled and very buttery. Definitely a good vegetarian option (and there were ten of them! Ten! That's roughly nine more than most menus like these). The potato chips weren't great. I thought they were overly greasy (I know it's a stupid complaint for fried, razor thin potatoes) and burnt. Compared to the website picture, they were nearly black. I also didn't get the advertised pickles, but I can't honestly say I remembered reading it on the menu either (until I looked online). We got out for under $50 pre-tip, which for three drinks, an appetizer, and two dinners is pretty nice. They let us stay for two hours without pushing and without really bothering us, so that was nice. It was a solid meal. When I go back to Salem, I will probably try a different place just to get the variety, but if a friend says "Hey, you want to go to T-Bones", I'll have no problem going back. read more

I've eaten at T-Bones many many times. Sometimes by myself at the bar, some with friends for a holiday gathering, and sometimes with a small family group. I have enjoyed all experiences. The menu provides for most any kind of mood, for both adults AND a killer kids menu. The servers, as far as I can tell, seem to always be in a pretty good mood. More often, they are even playful and witty. The food is always good. Most times very good. I've had pretty much everything (not seafood) on the menu. I'm pretty sure the majority of the food is fresh and unfrozen and there is a chef rather than a "cook". There is always a mix of people there. it's great for a date, family gathering, or just grab a beer and some chow. It's probably one of the best chain restaurants I've been to. One of my favs is the French onion soup. The also serve a multigrain bread while you wait for your food that is pretty great! Enjoy! read more

I was fortunate enough to find this place in Salem, NH through Yelp! several months back. I have since made a handful of visits for lunch, dinner, drinks, and dessert. (No, not all at once, though I would if I could with this place!) Each time I walked in, regardless of the crowd, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table and usually was seated immediately. The menu for T-Bones is extensive and, although you might say it's about the quality, not quantity, I say why not have both! In the 5+ times I've been at T-Bones, neither I nor my guest has ordered a meal or drink they didn't like or, more often than not, love. I especially need to highlight their selection of apps and burgers, namely the Jalapeno Pretzel Burger, which is phenomenal! All this good food comes with friendly and timely service and at a great value! I cannot recommend T-Bones enough. While I can't speak for the other T-Bones or Cactus Jack locations, I can certainly say that if you're in the vicinity of Salem, NH and want an all-around dining experience in a casual setting, this is the place! read more

I like T-Bones and their seasoning on their steaks, from what I tried on their other stuff...it is just okay. The place is Salem is good as kitchen actually took time with my special order of raw spinach salad with tomato. The person cut off the stems and made the leaves bite size. The preparer even sliced a couple tomatoes and sprinkled cherry tomatoes. They took time and I never get that. I eat out a lot both high and low. This was high end treatment and was VERY impressed! The barkeeps at this location do not ask for your T-Bones card I sit at bar when I eat, so you need to recall for yourself if you are a T-Bone fan! Barkeeps at this local are not chatty, but patrons are very nice and kitchen staff wonderful! read more

WOW.... We received gift certs for Christmas for CJ's in manchester nh (a current favorite of ours) or Tbones. Frankly, we havent been to TBones in a long time and if it werent for the certificates might not have gone.... Wouldve been a big mistake... EXCELLENT service 1/18/12 from our server Emily, VERY fast delivery, if the food here isn't made ftom scratch it sure as hell tastes like it IS....
