I've never been disappointed at T-Bones. Everything is always delicious and freshly prepared. Their gluten-free menu has a great selection of tasty treats, although it would be nice if they offered gluten-free pasta. Kids menu has two options: Lil Appetites and Bigger Appetites. Perfect for all ages. There are a ton of healthy options on the menu (as well as on the kids menu), just look for the pink chef coat! The chocolate dream martini is delicious! Delicious! As a pregnant lady my mind is constantly changing on exactly what I want and sometimes it's not on the menu. They have an amazing jalapeño burger on a pretzel bun that I wanted, but with chicken instead. They were super accommodating and made it for me :) My mom had a regular burger and loved it. They have great French fries and are a really fun diner, kind of similar to a 99, but I don't believe they are a chain. It was a nice find nearby the rockingham mall and they had MUCH more on the menu aside from burgers (everything from pot pie to Mexican food). Go check it out! read more

To be fair, I've only been to T-Bones once, so If I ever go again you can expect and update. So if it improves on my next visit, I will be happy to update it. A couple of weeks ago I went here. It seems I always go to restaurants at odd hours so there was no wait whatsoever. We were seated at one of those strange chair/booth combinations (which was fine. Just saying for review purposes.) They do serve Coke products so if you hate Pepsi than come right on down. I got something along the lines of a barbecue chicken sandwich. And I'll be completely honest in saying I did not really care for it. The french fries were still good however. I probably didn't like the sandwich because it had some strange sauce that I didn't care for. very forgettable. My wife and i stopped in after finishing up Xmas shopping. our order was 2 drinks each, app sampler, NY sirloin and country fried chicken. The drinks tasted watered down beyond believe. The app sampler was good except the queso it came with for the nachos tasted like clam chowder, which means the dish it came in wasnt clean. Now the sirloin nothing special, would've been better if i bought one and grilled it at home. the mashed potatoes were instant. oh and the garden salads dressing was watered down. The country fried chicken you get 3 small pieces of chicken, instant mashed potatoes and garlic mushrooms. the mushrooms were good. the bill was over 100 for below average. i would say go anywhere else if you are between 18-40. the place is either packed with kids or seniors. read more

This place is all around great. We were coming back from the gym and wanted to eat at a modestly priced restaurant. It was between Chillis and T-Bones. I'm glad we tried T-Bones. The food was generally very healthy, not too much fried stuff like Chillis with gross fatty cheesey sauce. My steak tips were very fresh and they altered my order to include brocolli. I was expecting frozen brocolli like Chillis (and other places) usually serve. No, I received fresh real thing good tasting brocolli! This place is a good value with great food. We have been eating at TBones in Salem almost every week for many years. The reason that we frequent this restaurant is simple; the food is great and consistent, service is friendly and efficient, and the value as a Paybacks member is unmatched. The manager, Rebecca, has been steering the ship for many years and has built a great staff. Now to the food. To start, the warm bread in the restaurant or popcorn in the bar is always near by and plentiful. The burgers are hands down best in the area. The menu has something for everyone and if you want to deviate from the menu just ask! They are always willing to adjust the meal to suit your taste. If you are a Paybacks member, which is free, you get $10 for every $100 you spend. If you are over 55 it is even better than that. Tip: I recommend you take advantage of call ahead seating as it tends to get very busy most evenings. They are conveniently located with plenty of parking so they attract a lot of shoppers on Rt 28. There is no secret to their success. Go there for yourself and you will see why. read more

I have been coming to this place for years. I have never had a bad meal here. I can safely say that everything is good here. My favorite thing on the menu is the grilled Ruben. I like Reuben's but they put some voodoo in this sandwich. If you like Reuben's this is worth the trip. The last time I was here the table next to mine one person didn't like their food. The manger promptly came over and comped the entire table and gave them a gift card. Wow! They truly care about their customers experience, this confirmed that. We really enjoyed our visit last night. Turns out the had a lite menu and we took full advantage. My wife had and enjoyed baked haddock served with a delicious home made rice pilaf and mixed veggys. I started with a fresh garden salad then selected the lite Baked Seafood Casserole featuring haddock, shrimp, and scallops with a garlic crust, served with a baked potato. All extremely delicious, well prepared and nicely presented. Megan, our server was awesome, not perfect but a delight to be sure. Most helpful and a very sweet demeanor. This place is amazing! Traveling around New Hampshire for two weeks this is the best place I have eaten at so far and will try to go to the next two days I am here. I got the French Onion Melt, loaded bacon cheese fries, and the French Onion soup and after each bite I sat back in my chair and held my palms up and out and waived. I don't know what's wrong with all of you I don't know if we caught this place on an off day or what but 4 Stars? Not only were my boyfriend and I very underwhelmed by our food which was the turkey platter and the falafel veggie burger but after an hour we felt sick and the next morning we are both vomiting; which is the main reason I decided to leave a review. For vegetarians I'd suggest only get this burger if you like mushrooms a lot because the patty is paper thin and crunchy af, plus it made me feel awful. My boyfriends turkey was dry and he made the mistake of just getting just mashed potatoes as a side that were extremely bland and there was hardly enough gravy to cover even a quarter of them. Our service was pretty average for the most parts no complaints there. Our waitress was the only redeeming quality of this place to be honest but definitely not redeeming enough to come back. read more

I thought I'd give this place a shot. It's a small chain restaurant. When they gave us the bread we should have left. The bread was not fresh and tasted like it was microwave heated. The food was great, as usual. The two stars was for the waitress we had. We were here (5 of us) for lunch today. The waitress started off by taking drink orders. One person order a diet Coke with a lime. We had to tell her to go back and get the lime. My wife ordered a Sprite, with VERY LITTLE ICE. The class was completely filled with ice, so the waitress had to go back and take the ice out. On three occasions we had to ask for refills on our drinks, she never asked if we needed refills. WE shouldn't have to ask. Her attitude was one of "we were bothering her" by being there. Not friendly at all. At the end of the meal, she brought the three dinner checks we asked for, but just put them on the table, instead of giving the corresponding check to the customer. A good waitress/waiter would hand the customer check to the customer, personally. As a result, she only got a 10% tip, instead of the customary 20%. So if she isn't making a lot of money, it's her own fault. The General Manager needs to look at the rating details and figure why, over the past years, they have gone down hill. Maybe he/she is part of the problem, not hiring good people, for a public service job. read more

We go to Tbones in Salem...a lot! Our usual fare is the Charlies Broiled Haddock. Yesterday we went and my wife tried something different. She ordered the Terriyaki Steak Tips. They were a bit expensive at $17.00 but she figured there would be some left for lunch next day. The meal arrived and there were three or maybe four steak tips along with carrots with garlic butter. As garlic butter doesn't agree with her...she deep sixed the carrots. That left the tips and rice I think. This meal would have been a good deal at 12-14$. At $17.00 it just wasn't worth it. We commented to the waitress and she summoned the assistant manager. After some discussion (about how TBones has their own butcher) she politely comped the entree. We go there a lot....and will continue to go there....but we won't be ordering the Terriyaki Steak Tips. read more

Don't believe I've ever been disappointed eating here. Food is always enjoyable, no matter what you order. The only reason I dropped it one star was because on my last visit, I ordered a special Margarita for $11 (forget the name of it), and the glass was so full of ice that there was hardly any drink in it. Was in town and my aunt and uncle brought me here. They eat there regularly. The service was great, and our food was delicious. It took a bit long, which my aunt said wasn't normal, but that's the ONLY reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. Great standard American food! Met my date at T-Bones yesterday night. I had never been there. It is a large restaurant with a big menu. Something for everyone. Our server was Amber, she did a great job. We got the Espinachos for an app. Tortilla chips around a hot cheese sauce. We liked it very much. Amber asked if we would like bread. A beautiful warm honey wheat roll came out. It was great. If you could put a 10 ounce burger on that it would be perfect. We both ordered burgers. She ordered the Caprese burger with onion rings. I ordered the M.A.F. burger with onion rings. This place is AMAZING. Went here last night after going to Loon on my way back to Boston and though I was starving, everything on the menu really did look delicious. AMBIENCE Environment is nice. Dim lighting. Lots of booths. Comfortable restaurant to eat in. FOOD & SERVICE Hostess greeted us and sat us right away (6pm). We were given bread and butter. It was soft and warm. The wine menu was at a lower price for Sunday so some of us got the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Pinot Noir was nice. Very light. It would have been good with something seafood. I like more full bodied wines for steak (what I ordered). I didn't try to the Chard though. The Pinot was enough for 6 wine portioned filled glasses. So like 1.5 glasses for us 4. To start, we ordered the sampler appetizer. IT WAS REALLY GOOD. Good portion for my hungry group. Then for entrees, most of us got sirloin. Someone got a T-bone. Someone got a Pick 2 (slider & mozzarella, tomato, basil). And other person got a burger. Unless it's a 5 star steakhouse I always order my steak more rare since it's almost 100% overcooked. My steak was indeed a medium well rather than a medium rare (what I ordered). I like medium. I tried my friend's T-bone and that was spectacular. T-bone is 24 ounces (with bone of course). It was amazing. Cooked medium/medium rare. The sirloin was good though. All steaks came with onion ring on top. A massive one. I don't like onion rings but I think if I did, I would have enjoyed that. The sirloins came with one side (bake potato). I switched mine out for Roasted Veggies. I was hoping for some zucchini or squash but it gave tomatoes and peppers. Tasted fine. My friends got the mashed potatoes. And those were standard. Good texture. Gravy was okay. All the steak entrees came with salad first. The caesar salad was good. My friend got to sub out his salad with a soup (clam chowder). He ate all that. So overall everything was good. The sides menu looks awesome so definitely switch out that if you don't like what automatically is paired with your entree. To finish we all shared the brownie dessert that comes with ice cream. That was really good. I don't know how I ate everything but I ate every bite of my meal. Time to hit the gym! Our server was good. She came to check on us periodically. She messed up my friends T-bone order and gave him a sirloin but she got a T-bone out to him in 10 minutes. It was probably someone else's T-bone but he got it quick. CONCLUSION So two thumbs up. I would most definitely come back again. FYI, there is a Happy hour from 4-close at the lounge. read more
