Got a call at 7:10 PM from my son saying he had fallen at work and landed on his LG G2 in his back pocket. As he is on our family account I needed to be with him to make any changes to the account. I told him to meet me at the T-mobile store at Crenshaw & Sepulveda. I arrived before him at 7:35PM and saw that the store closed at 8. I was expecting to get a 25 minute run-around and be told to come back tomorrow. To my great surprise, this is what happened. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by Anne with a big smile and the statement, "How can I be of service to your sir?" And she proceed to walk me through the jump program for a new phone for my son. She even had me call him on his way over to get specific info needed to complete the transaction. When my son arrived there was only a few more steps and the whole process was completed by 8:05PM and we were out the door with my sons new LG G3. Great customer service Anne! I even asked for the manager, Jeff, and told him what a great job Anne had done. She gave 5 Star+ service. I had an awesome experience at this location. The guy who helped me was named Fred. He helped me with switching my family plan over from another competitor. He answered all my questions and made the difficult transition a smooth one. Even though the process was lengthy, Fred did an excellent and thorough job. I waited a while to write this review to see if their were any hidden fees and everything was as it should be. I visited this location on March 15th I am a 20yr old student!! And I have yet to open any credit card accounts.. I came into the store looking to join a new phone plain and update my phone but be able to pay it off in portions. When I came into the store I spoke with a worker named "Alexander" a young white fellow with short hair. Never have I felt more disrespected he was very sarcastic and unclear. He took my id and told me that I'm unable to purchase a phone because my credit score is "really really bad" and withheld the actual score from me... I told told him I don't even have any credit card accounts.. he then told me that I'm a "victim of identity theft" so naturally I freaked out.. he told me to file a police report ASAP. Weeks later I received a letter from t mobile saying I had insignificant credit!! But on the other side of the letter it stated my credit score was "222" which is IMPOSSIBLE... A month later I finally received my credit score in the mail and it is "ZERO" what is should be. considering I have never opened a credit card account. This idiot had me worried sick for nothing. No Stars, I am a T-Mobile customer of more than 12 years. Unfortunately I bought a T-Mobile Alcatel Go Flip. I have had 30+ contacts with T-Mobile store associates, T-Mobile techs and contacted The President of T-Mobile's office on four occasions for the SAME EXACT PROBLEM. Most of my calls go STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL??? and no one can figure it out. I was told today, "We have checked your phone many times," and told they can't figure it out, GO AWAY!! These people are rude, (Associates and the office of the President, Rude and dismissive) the techs are great, (Filipinas, not Americans,) but they couldn't figure it out, on 6 or 7 attempts) and T-Mobile will not take responsibility for their terrible service and products. Four to five hour wait for techs. 20 people changed my settings and told me, "Looks good," and NEVER solved the problem. I spent 35 minutes with a courteous T-Mobile rep. trying to figure out why the review site has no "SEND" button?????? He connected me to somebody that picked up the phone transfer for another 20 minutes. After 1 hour and 25 minutes in all, in a typically corporate way, "Is there anything else I can help you with, (What they say when they can't figure out a problem for the 25 time.) read more

There were a few other reviews on here with negative ratings for Young - but we actually received terrific service from him and are very happy with our T-Mobile experience at this store. We just came from the Torrance store on 4135 PCH and received TERRIBLE service there, so were pleasantly surprised by the service at this location. As soon as we entered the store, we were greeted both by Young and another employee, and even though they were both busy with other customers, they made us feel welcome and let us know that they would be taking care of us soon. We were switching from Verizon and had many questions about our plans and phones, and Young was able to address them all. He gave us a few recommendations also, and made sure that we had all of the resources that we needed for the transition. We will definitely visit this location again anytime we need to go to a T-Mobile store. read more

We have never experienced this level of incompetence or subpar customer service. Long story short, we wanted to add three lines to an existing account and make it a family plan. Store clerk assured us that my sister's iPhone 6S from AT&T will be compatible, and he proceeded to back up the phone then switch over to T-Mobile. FOUR hours later, they told us they wiped the phone of all data (including all photos and videos), but lost the backup, and couldn't get the sim card back in. Mind you, they never said they were doing all of this to the phone prior to doing it. Told us that they will call the district manager and get back to us on Monday. No call. We come back, and the assistant "manager" (I put quotes because nobody with that level of incompetence should ever be in a leadership position) shrugs and says there's nothing they could do, that it was not their fault, take it up with corporate. After arguing back and forth, the same woman had the audacity to tell us to calm down. At that point we left, and we will be taking out business to another company. Never, EVER, give this place your business. We spent a total of over six hours at this place only to walk away with a broken phone and a truly horrific experience. The staff here lacks basic customer service skills and everyone we've encountered will be reported to the district and corporate offices. read more

My man Chris! I wasn't at T mobile for my own phone, but my mother wanted to replace her phone because her iPhone 5S's battery was draining way too fast. My dad and I were at the local T-mobile store and Mr. Chris Dinh was very accommodating from beginning to the end. He made sure that we, including mom who stayed home, were satisfied. She had no problems after switching from 5S to SE, and longer battery life allowed her to enjoy playing Pokémon GO longer than before. You know those songs that tell you to run away? They should be playing constantly on loop I'd like to tell you about my recent experience in the T-Mobile store located at 22501 Crenshaw Blvd Suite 100, Torrance, CA 90505. My experience began on March 31st at around 5 pm. My goal was to consolidate my fiancé and her family onto my plan. What we needed to achieve was: · Add my fiancé's mother to my plan while upgrading her phone (already a T-Mobile customer) · Add my fiancé to my plan and get her a new phone (we wanted to take advantage of the buy a phone and trade one in to get a discount deal, she came from AT&T) · Add my fiancé's sister to my plan without upgrading her phone (coming from AT&T and keeping her old phone) We were assigned Sam to help us out with getting through this process. And he was fantastic in helping out with the first two tasks we needed to achieve. But then the third task (adding my fiancé's sister's phone) is where the tide changed. He had her give him her iPhone 6 so that he could begin the process of switching the SIM cards over to a T-Mobile card. He backed up her phone so she wouldn't lose anything and seemed to do everything by the book. But when he completed the process it would not read the SIM card. We would get an error message: "SIM Required Please insert SIM card." After some trouble shooting it was determined that the phone was not unlocked and that we'd have to go talk to AT&T to get that taken care of. So he went to put the old AT&T SIM card back into the phone. Except nothing changed. It still had the error message "SIM Required Please insert SIM card." This was particularly strange as it should have worked fine going back. Something was seriously wrong. As a result Sam talked to his manager and got approval to put her old data from her phone (the backup) into a new iPhone 8 temporarily (my fiancé's sister would have to get the iPhone 6 unlocked by AT&T then return a couple days later and give back the iPhone 8 ). Unfortunately, the backup data had gone missing. So 2+ years of photos and videos were wiped out in the blink of an eye. Sam and his manager had no solution as to why this had occurred. But Sam's manager said if we come back Monday night she will talk to her district manager and see what she can do to help ease the situation. All in all, we spent 5+ hours there and left with an iPhone 8 which we had to return and a broken iPhone 6. Monday April 2nd came around and we returned to the store at about 7:30 pm. Sam was present along with his assistant manager. Sam mentioned to us that we had been approved for a $100 credit on our account. Now, this is a great offer, but it doesn't replace the phone which was fine before we handed it over to him on the 31st of March. So we talked to him and to the Assistant Manager on duty. And the assistant manager (I didn't catch her name) did nothing but constantly change the story. At one point she accused us of walking in with a broken iPhone (Which to Sam's credit, he corrected her in that it was fine when we came in). At another, as he was messing around with the SIM card tray, she told him to "just bend it back". Which, in my mind, doesn't sound very good. And at yet another moment she offered for us to trade the broken iPhone in so we could upgrade (we would still have to pay the full upgrade price even after they broke her iPhone), but my fiancé's sister didn't want an upgrade, just her iPhone to work. Every time we talked to the assistant manager she did everything in her power to make sure we felt belittled and like we were at fault. After 30 minutes of listing to her yell at my finance's sister (causing her to start crying in the middle of the store), I made the decision that we will take our business elsewhere. The assistant manager did not give an inkling of a care that they are about to lose 4 customers. At which point we left because she wasn't going to be helpful. It felt more like she was just trying to cover her ass instead of help us to actually fix the situation. read more

Heads up, sales reps do just that - they sell you! So don't buy into it. My suggestion is don't get insurance unless your phone retails for more 400 or more, than keep the insurance for like 3-4 months, just in case. After that remove your insurance. The 110$ deductible is not worth getting another phone that you can get off ebay for less. I remember selling insurance to people when I worked here. They would get 6 dollar insurance for a 60 dollar phone, with a 25 dollar deductible - do the math. It's because I sold these people, so word up... don't be a sucker! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!! I walk in to upgrade my 6plus iPhone to a 6S plus and add an extra line to my account (iPhone 6) two brand new phones total. Long story short ended up with 2 new phones like I wanted. When I come around to use my new phones I see I have two different numbers replaced my old numbers? I went back in to ask the young laddie helping me before, explained to her the situation and her answer to me was "there was a glitch in our system". I missed the part where that was my problem! Total bs if you ask me. The two young ladies looked very unprofessional. I asked to speak to the manager JERRY at the time total douchebag! Cocky up tight type of guy. I am trying something novel with two of my Yelp reviews, at least for me in my Yelp experience, where I am actually going to use two very different experiences to illustrate an example of why this T-Mobile store (on the corner of Crenshaw and Sepulveda) deserves 5-stars and the Time Warner Cable (TWC) store (on Hawthorne Blvd near Trader Joe's) "earned" only one star. Neither the products nor the services are cheap either. So the level of customer service I expect to receive is actually quite high. So, if you've read my local TWC location review you know that I view them as the equivalent of the worst DMV visit possible. By contrast, a visit to THIS T-Mobile Store location was like visiting a luxury goods store! I'm saying this because T-Mobile has gone for a clean uncluttered look and the store is spacious with ample staff and comfortable seating. These things are actually important if you want to sit and contemplate a several hundred dollar purchase. Imagine if Coach didn't have mirrors, for example. It is important to note that my visit to the TWC store I reviewed was in the early afternoon (the "slow time" on a week day.) My visit to this T-Mobile store was in the early evening (the "busy time" on a week day). But I do feel like the quality of the service I received was excellent! In the interest of full disclosure, I have to confess that my husband and I actually went in to the store to just "window shop" the new phones, but the first salesman was a bit too attentive (read "aggressive") for our personalities. So after asking some basic questions we went next door to get some Boba (another plus for this location is their proximity to Bobloca!). As we walked back to our car, we noticed that the store was still open and new reps were on staff, so we wandered back in to take another look. This time, we ended up spending over an HOUR in the store not just "window shopping" but actually having a very enjoyable experience. The representative who assisted us (Audrey) not only asked the standard basic questions, but also invested some time in getting to know us as INDIVIDUALS, chatting about our family, interests and lifestyles, in general. At not point did she ever make us feel pressured to buy anything and while we had NO intention of actually making a purchase that evening, we ended up buying a new Samsang Galaxy Avant which is our first brand new phone without any sort of contract discount (and ironically not the phone we had come into the store to look at). It was a big purchase for us and we actually felt very comfortable with the decision because we felt that Audrey understood our needs and what product was going to be best for us based on our productive conversation with her. In short, if you're tired of automated phone systems and making expensive purchase decisions over the internet, get in your car and drive to this T-Mobile location to actually touch/feel/test drive the product and speak in-depth with the knowledgeable reps on staff. You can even do it sipping a delicious boba from next door! read more

Went in to have my husbands galaxy s5 fixed because his phone didnt have a group conversation option. (Mines have.) Went in the store and was helped by Sales Associate Edgar, told him our concerns and his solution is to have the phone exchanged to a new one. (This took about 30mins btw or more) After 5mins my husband found out that the new phone still didnt have the group conversation option so he talked to Edgar and told him the problem and guess what was his answer "just wait for un update. Mhy husband was disappointed because he needed that feature for work. So we decided to go to a different t-mobile store the same day. And we were out of the store in 20mins. And guess what Edgar, the problem is not with the phone, it's with the sim card. Google it. read more

I came in to switch from verizon to tmobile a few days ago. I thought verizon had excellent customer service until I walked into this store. I was helped by Annie who answered my millions of questions and represented tmobile very well. I didn't feel rushed or pressured which made me feel like I was in good hands. She also listened to my long story of why I was switching over and I totally give her bonus points for that since it really had nothing to do with cell phone service . Even though this is the closest location to my house I make sure of it that I never go to this one. There is a salesperson named Mayasia who almost charged me triple the amount that I had owed on an LG Phone. I've been paying for the JUMP program on this particular device, which enables me to upgrade once I pay up to the halfway mark (which was about $50-60). Mayasia was adamant that I needed to pay the entire remaining balance of $160.00, which was the entire phone itself. She invited me to the other side of the computer and showed me the numbers, and we calculated it. She still was not admitting that I did not owe the amount she was saying. I called customer service and a guy named Tom from the Colorado call center picked up. He was nice, friendly and confirmed that I owned less than $50 to go on with my upgrade. I gave my phone over to one of the sales reps and Tom told them over speaker phone. They went over to Mayasia, and heard Tom say $50... and she responded "see? Right!" SHE JUST FREAKING lied and pretended she was right the entire time! We hung up the phone and proceeded with the upgrade but a minute into it, I told her I'm not in the mood to upgrade with her so I left. There were no apologies and no admittance of wrongs. It was a pretty stupid move on her part.... So, I recommend you going to the other branches nearby. I always have problems here, and it just turns me off. read more

I wanted to share that the appointment I had scheduled was complete waste of time. I walked in to the appointment and I spoke to Francisco who was no help. I told him that I had just done the online chat and was told there was deals available to me because of what Sofia had told me during our online chat conversation. Francisco told me there was no way I would qualify for a discount as the program was for new customers only. I asked if he could ask his boss and was told no because the program was the same for every customer. I am in disbelief of how bad service I received from Francisco and TMobile. My family and I have been very loyal to T-Mobile but as of today I will be cancelling my 3 lines as I felt like Francisco did nothing to try and help me out. If you go and check your CCTV system I walked in at 6:02pm and walked out at 6:04pm disappointed on how I was treated by Francisco. I have been very loyal to T-Mobile and got slapped in the face by the terrible service I received from Francisco. I will close by asking how do you let a customer walk out of the building without trying to sell them something. Francisco was more interested in chatting with the other worker there and the lady he was helping. I am very disappointed in the service. Sorry but I will have to cancel. The first phone didn't wasn't properly unlocked, but the second phone worked and the agent gave me a T Mobile SIM with $3.00 credit remaining so I can continue my testing. read more
