I am going with three stars for our experience at Table 6. It was not a bad meal at all. It was over $200 for two people with a bottle of wine, and for that price I just expect more. We had a great bottle of wine and service was very very good. The table was uncomfortable. The highs: Excellent wine list Good service Innovative recipes Nice plating Delicious Spaghetti carbonara Home made pasta! Fabulous bathrooms! (Honestly I wanted to hang out in the bathroom and read some of the books and magazines that they left and Peruse the cool antiques and so forth.) The not-so-greats $200 for two dining Starters are tiny- designed for one person Small tables in the middle of restaurant traffic Drafty Difficult to hear one another We started with the asparagus appetizer, which the waiter tried to talk us out of. It was delicious with Serano ham and shaved Parmesan and we were given exactly 7 spears of asparagus which we split equally. I tried the spaghetti carbonara, and it was delicious! PTBB had the Game hen, which he enjoyed. The food was good, carefully prepared, tasty... But nothing so memorable I would need to go back. I have to hand it to them for trying an innovative dessert. We tried the dessert of the night, a blueberry tamale with cream cheese served with lavender gelato. Sounds good right? Unfortunately, this one was a miss and they took it off our bill without us asking. Imagine a typical pork tamale, savory and salty, stuffed instead with blueberries and cream cheese but still tasting at like a lunch entree. Weird enough, but add a scoop of lavender bath soap, err gelato, And this desert goes bad in the 4.8 seconds it takes to go from the mouth to the stomach. There were really weird facial expressions going on at our table and we did not take a second bite. The restaurant did not charge us for this desert even though we did not complain. The table was just not comfortable. It was a two top in the very middle of the restaurant with lots of traffic and my legs stuck out to the side. If the restaurant has been a little bit cozier in ambience and comfortable in seating, this would've easily been a four star for us. Table 6 has been around for a dozen years or so, so I'm sure they are happy with how things are and it's just important for us to keep in mind that it wasn't that comfortable for us. read more

A couple of weeks before the event, I made a reservation for a party of 12. Luckily, I managed to get hold of the Private Dining Room, which is situated at the back of this establishment. This recent visit was on SUNDAY BRUNCH January 18th 2015, Time : 10:30hrs. From their Simple Menu which they change regularly, Table 6 offer variety for everyone at our table to enjoy. From what I could recall my friends ordered these following items : * 3 Orders of T6 Nutella French Toast, each was ($12.00) * 2 Orders of Blackened Barrimundi, each was ($13.00) * Pulled Pork Red Chili ($14.00) * 2 order of Fried Cheddar Biscuit, each was ($15.00) * Ham Sammy ($14.00) * Fries ($4.00) * 2 orders of Beef Bacon Hash, each was ($14.00) While in terms of Beverages, several of my friends opt to have Large Press Coffee, and several orders of Mimosa. I had Coffee, Grapefruit Juice and the T6 Nutella French Toast ($12.00). The T6 Nuttella French Toast comes with Candied Hazelnuts, Maple Syrup and Whip Cream ($12.00). Overall it was 3.5 stars. Brunch with tips and tax, if I am not mistaken was $20. Thankfully everyone in our group enjoyed their Brunch. With the Private Dining Room setting, we managed to have an enjoyable Brunch without the NOISY Setting outside from the MAIN CROWD. Definitely MAKE A RESERVATION for the PRIVATE ROOM if you want and have a Party less than 12. Our lovely server, is indeed accommodating and he answers all our questions with regards to the Menu. It is surprisingly hard to find a great breakfast/brunch spot in Denver, however we scored with Table 6. We came here with an international food group last weekend. We were seated in a back room that was nice and intimate. I started with a black tea and was pleasantly surprised when it came out in a French press. Very nice start to the meal. I ordered the barramundi with Johnny cake and Choron sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The sauce was a perfect compliment. There were also shoestring potatoes which were good but a little cumbersome to eat and not really necessary for the dish. The hubs got a red chili pork that was very good. Most people on our end of the table thought his was the best by far. I preferred my dish though! We also tried a bite of the Nutella French toast. It was good but I couldn't have eaten more than a bite or two. I just am not a huge fan of breakfast that sweet but the rest of the table really enjoyed it. Nice place and when we entered it the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed the food so much. The server is friendly and attentive. Based off my first visit, I'd give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately, when I returned yesterday everything was just a little, off. The service was great, very friendly and helpful throughout. However, when the food came out, things went downhill. Everything was overly salted to the point it was almost inedible. I was disappointed because I had been talking this place up to my boyfriend's visiting mother for days. Delicious! Everything we ordered was prepared wonderfully and very tasty. We ordered a bottle of wine and the brie appetizer to stay, perfectly prepared. The honey and pecans were a wonderful pairing with the cheese. The wine was the restaurant's label, a blend from Oregon and delicious. We all enjoyed it. For the main, the citrus salad, Brussels sprouts, mushroom fettuccine and the pheasant. All were very good, and we would order these dishes again. The restaurant noise level was lively, but not si much that you couldn't talk to each other. Waitstaff was very attentive but not obtrusive. A nice find! read more

If you are a fan of poultry and fine dining without breaking the bank - this is the place for you! Duck Confit is one of my favorite dishes ever and Table 6 by far has the best duck I've ever had. The duck was cooked so well that the meat just slid off the bone like butter. The seasoning is great and it's all placed on top of fried beans, corn, jalapeños, onions, and beets. Absolutely outstanding! Table 6 has quite an extensive wine and beer list. The drinks are a little pricey but absolutely worth it. I had the '14 Sineann, "T6 Blend," Pinot/Syrah/Zin/Cab, Columbia Valley, Oregon - VERY GOOD WINE!! We also had the tomatillos for an appetizer which were great - most of their food appears to be inspired by southwestern cuisine. Their bread and butter is made in house and I swear I could eat the butter all by itself because of how good it was! My wife had the Pecan Crusted Chicken ... out of this world as well! What's great about Table 6 is that they don't have any gimmicks, their staff isn't dressed to the nines, and the restaurant is quite simple. You can either sit a table or the kitchen counter (I recommend sitting at the counter - watching the staff cook is always great entertainment) and just let the food and drinks speak for themselves. You can dress up for a date and fit in - or you can dress completely casual and still fit in. We stopped in last night for a date night and were very impressed with the food! We didn't get drinks, but the wine list was fantastic. The menu seems like it's rotating, so we asked the server for her recommendations - she gave us an excellent overview and were very appreciative of her feedback. The buffalo tots are a must! We also ordered the vegetarian enchilada dish (wonderful flavor and great textures) and the duck confit (extremely tender, the roasted dates were a great touch). Tried Table 6 last night (4/28/17). First off whats nice about this restaurant is that its established. Table 6 has been around for many many years and you do not get that a lot with restaurants around Denver. With the way the economy is going there are a lot of great new restaurants, but its always nice to find a Gem that has been around for as long as 6. Our waiter was awesome. He made some great recommendations that pieced together our meal in a fantastic fashion. Just so you know Table 6 is Beer and wine only. We bought a bottle of red, Mormoraia, Sangiovese, Chianti Colli Senesi, Italy, which was a nice wine to have with dinner. They have a rotating menu, however a few things on there have been staples of their menu for many years. One example being the Duck Confit which we tried. You can tell why it has been on the menu for 12 years. The duck was cooked to perfection, parts of it almost melting in your mouth, and also crusted on the outside a bit for texture. We has the Salmon Poke as an appetizer. It was very fresh, not fishy at all which is what I personally think when I eat Salmon. It was mixed with fresh beets which gave the dish a great flavor. We also had a shrimp dish. This included some sausage pieces, and grits which were put together nicely. For dessert we had the Chocolate Beignets. Wow. I was not expecting them to be so delightful. We were both very impressed with Table 6. For the quality of the food we feel that the price is very reasonable. read more

This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while! I had found Table 6 on Yelp and added it to my list of places to go, but only recently got around to stopping by for dinner. We loved the atmosphere and service, and the food was top notch. We ordered the fig and goat cheese flatbread and the tots as apps, both of which were delicious. The pork tenderloin that I ordered as my entree was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had a hard time resisting the dessert menu, so I'll have to go back another time! read more

I'm so torn about Table 6. 4 of us went to Table 6 for dinner. I had only been there once before for brunch, and it was solid. Honestly, I wasn't psyched about the always-changing menu this time around. The only seafood dish was shrimp and grits, which I'm not always a big fan of. Almost every other dish had something that I wasn't excited about, but this is just personal preference. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits and loved it. We ordered the Italian sliders appetizer, and it was amazing. The beef was super tender, juicy, and flavorful. The homemade giardiniera had just the right amount of spice and was on point. I ordered the coffee-chili rubbed brisket, which was solid. The mole was bold and flavorful, and the brisket was super tender. The slaw on the side added a burst of flavor and some crunchyness to an otherwise soft dish. Really tasty and I would get it again. We also ordered the meat and cheese charcuterie appetizer. It was kinda boring. None of the cheeses popped off the plate, and the meats were basic. For $19, I expected more. My parents also ordered the kale salad, and it was, well, a kale salad. Oh, and our waitress was pretty grumpy. I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars, but rounded up to 4 because most everything was solid and the prices were reasonable. read more

The food choices were limited & at roughly $30 I wanted to choose the one I'd enjoy the most. I didn't. I ordered a chicken breast that is described perfectly on the menu, but wasn't what I expected at the table. It was good, but that's all. I tasted the duck, good. Chicken fried steak (not your typical thought of the dish) but tasty! And the salmon, just salmon. Desserts were probably the highlight of the evening. Reasonably priced from $4-$7. Not sure where the dinner pricing came from, especially with the portions? Overall, a nice experience, just more pricey than I would've liked for the food served. This was our first visit to Table 6. It has been in the top of our list of restaurants to try for quite some time, so we decided to finally come to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I have to say right off that the service was AWESOME! Our waiter as well as the other staff we very attentive, friendly, and very helpful with questions. However the two stars are 100% based on the food. The menu was very small, which is NOT a bad thing, but the food was so overly salted neither my wife nor I could come close to finishing. As well the duck was very overdone and incredibly dry as a result. Clearly the chef should work in the timing of cooking his dishes as well as not being so heavy handed with the salt. As I see my review is not the only one taking stars off for overly salted food. Not sure we'll be back, there are just too many other spots to try or that we already know are good to roll the dice on perhaps getting a salt lick for dinner. read more

I would say this dish was a take on a "Carbonara". Light rich creamy sauce topped with parmesan cheese. The lamb bacon was some kind of wonderful. The peas in the pasta should have been left out as they were too young. I'm not sure why places are serving peas already as it is not their time yet. My second entree, yes I ordered two entrees DON'T JUDGE, was the Pork Chop and oh what a pork chop it was. I have not had a more tender, juicy pork chop in a loooooong time (my Getty Restaurant days first round). The baby artichokes were wonderful and their take on gnocchi was creative and delicious. Desserts were up next and we ordered one of each. All were very simple and I appreciated that after such a delectable meal. Service was fantastic. Charming, never obtrusive and the attention to detail marveled me. The labels of beverages were always turned towards us. A drop of wine tricked down the bottle onto the table when pouring and he cleaned it up so fast I had to do a double take. I had a servicegasm when our waiter folded the napkin that was left on the chair by one of our diners when they stepped outside. A NapaEsque eatery in the middle of D-Co won over my tummy and humbled my foodie soul. Cozy atmosphere. Delicious food. Great wine. Excellent service. What more could you ask for? SERVICE I have to start with the service, because of this lovely incident: once my friends and I were on our second bottle of wine, I started increasingly talking with my hands. And then BAM -- of course I knock over my glass of wine, right onto my cashmere sweater. Not a minute later, our server was wiping up the spill with napkins and another server was handing me a bottle of wine stain remover from Wine Enthusiast (which works like magic, btw!). Five minutes later, it's like nothing had happened at all. GOLD STARS ALL AROUND! Our server was also friendly, attentive, knowledgable about all the food and wine options, etc. FOOD Everything we had here was absolutely delicious, which makes me want to try all the things we didn't eat. Their menu changes every day though, so I'm pretty sure that could get really expensive. Here's what we had: +Tots -- definitely not your typical tater-tots. I have no idea how they make these, but it was like a fried mashed potato ball with melted cheese, ground meat, and spicy peppers on top. +Brussel Sprouts -- good-sized pot of perfectly-made sprouts with delicious seasoning and cheese. +Mussels -- some of the best mussels I've tried in a long time. +Mahi Mahi -- very well-prepared, and the curry is great (if you like curry). +Brisket -- extremely tender (just fell apart at being touched) - YUM! Probably the best entree here if I had to pick. WINE There's some really great (and affordable) wine options here, and the servers are great at describing the wines so you can pick your flavor preference. Been here a couple of times and has been nice each time. The food is great, though last time everything was quite salty. The service has also always been friendly and professional. We've been there for wine or beer and apps (they don't make cocktails) as well as a full blown dinner. Their wine suggestions have usually been spot on. The ambiance is casual but people usually dress up a bit to go here. The place is clean, with a modern/rustic feel, and spacious. Wow! My husband took me here for my birthday the other day. He had been previously but I had not and it has been on our list to visit for a while. Decor is cute, neighborhood bistro style. There is a parking lot in the back (very helpful)! We got a glass of wine (no cocktails, wine and beer only - FYI) and ordered. We usually order a few starters and two mains but this time I decided to order just one starter, the Za'atar tots. SO. GOOD. Awesome portion size and really well done. I love Za'atar from my time in Israel and I am always excited to see when it's used well. We really enjoyed all the bites on this plate. Really well done. The bread and butter is quite tasty too. I have a lot of feelings about butter and am always disappointed when an otherwise awesome restaurant uses eh butter. But that was not the case here. It was really well done. We ordered the half chicken and duck confit for our mains. They were both spectacular. Great plates, great portions. Even my husband who is always searching for protein when we eat out couldn't finish the dish (I mean, he did eat some of mine too)! Since it was my birthday, I ordered dessert - the Meyer Lemon tart with chantilly. It came out with a candle (so sweet!) but WOW! What a bite! It was tart and fresh and the chantilly was smooth and amazing. It was an excellent digestif. One last note - the pours for the sparkling wine were excellent. Honestly surprised that I am giving Table 6 a 3 star review. If it were not for the good food, it would be a 1. I had seen the menu online and saw some good reviews and figured that a cute little restaurant would be perfect for an anniversary. However, I was very wrong. From the second we walked in the host seemed very pretentious and it felt like we did not belong in that restaurant. Once seated we learned that the host would also be our server. Our server never introduced himself (Sean, learned that from the check) rolled his eyes when we ordered items and never smiled. It's very disheartening when you see your server at other tables smiling, laughing and making small talk and then coming to your table and seeming like he was miserable. I am not sure if he thought we would not tip well or because we were young. Definitely left the establishment highly disappointed. read more

I've been to table 6 a bunch of times and the food is consistent and tasty ... The waiters are usually nice and accommodating .. It is a bit small but that's okay... The best part about table 6 is Sunday brunch - it is so good my mouth is watering right now! I ordered the gluten free pancakes and they were so delicious .... They have a lot of vegetarian options too!! The energy is usually pretty good and people seem like they are having a good time which is important to me !! One of the best dining experiences I have had in Denver yet... especially because I was not paying for it. That always makes the meal so much more delicious.... "Waiter, another glass of wine please!" You are hungry. You think to yourself - what can I eat? I'm hungry and I crave good food...Well you think Table 6 of course. You walk in to this awesome atmosphere of tables where you can see the kitchen and a friendly wait staff willing to get whatever you want to be happy. The food is really really great. We got chicken I know - it's chicken but it's not just chicken it's this amazing hand breaded chicken which is served with coleslaw that isn't all soggy and gross it's fresh like they made it when you order it and this cornbread that was heavenly that was light but crispy and still soft! My SO doesn't even like cornbread (I know the freak!) and hates coleslaw with a passion, he was practically licking his plate. I realize that it was a bit expensive on the menu they print daily depending on what they are serving but it was worth every penny. Fried Buttermilk Chicken 21.00 Honey Jalapeno Slaw, Corn Bread, Gravy Then we got french press coffee and the chocolate blitize's (sp?) and they were amazing - no speaking happened between the two of us because we feared the other would eat ours! Table 6 is a neighboorhood fine dining restaurant serving fresh seasonal food a couple steps above what you normally run into (except, that is, if your neighborhood is Manhattan or S.F:). Had dinner there the other night after not having visited for over a year or more and was thoroughly charmed by the host and wait-staff. The food, however, was not quite as charming. Good to very good, but not (Yay! I'm a) fan-tastic. The menu was perfectly seasonal, filled with fresh fall root vegetables, hearty pork and game dishes, and rich soup and seasonings. What I wasn't bowled over by were the taste combinations. The brussel sprouts suffered from too much lemon with the truffle oil. The smoked pork shoulder with creamed lentils was undistinguished. The lobster green chile pie appetizer (at $18) was not worth the price. Best food of the night: the bread (which I remember as always being absolutely delicious), the tater tots appetizer, and the chocolate beignets for dessert. Liked their fairly priced wine list (had a fine Angeline Pinot Noir at $10/glass). But take note that they do not have a full bar: only wine and beer. Three at the table said they would not go back. Yelp made it easy to make this last minute reservation - for our anniversary no less. All is all, it was pretty good. The service was a little spotty at times, but the food and drink were good. We got parmesan grit fries and fried brussel sprouts as apps -which were good - the brussel sprouts were delicious! Entrees, we got Back Bacon Steak and the OO Pappardelle...I think the OO was better than the Back Bacon Steak (pork). Overall we were very full - and satisfied at the end. They did also give us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary (thank you!) - although we might have picked a different one as this one (Coconut Cream Pie) - the ice cream was hard as a rock.....so it wasn't memorable in that sense. But overall, we liked it - and will probably come back on another occasion to try it again as we both thought the food was original and worth the visit. read more

This review is based on brunch. Hoping to update very soon on my supper experience (which hasn't occurred yet, but I'm already looking forward to it)! I made a reservation, which seems like a definite must here. And really, with opentable.com and yelp's links to the site, it's so easy that you might as well, you know? Mimosas were only $3 and made with much better champagne than other brunch spots I've frequented lately. I got some sort of ham and cheese on ciabatta bread with tomato soup--even a simple dish like this was so incredibly flavorful! I cleaned my plate, which is something I always want to do, but sometimes have a hard time doing so. $12 for the plate is definitely affordable in my eyes. My only complaint is that the menu online is not that of the one in the restaurant. Really would like to see it updated more frequently. Decor is very cool. Exposed bricks, open kitchen, intimate setting but not so close that you are bumping into folks when you get up and sit down. During brunch there is a DJ who was playing everything from the Knife to the Police. Very cool, and not at all distracting. The perfect noise level. Also, if you're someone who eats out alone (like me), there are plenty of smaller 2 person tables that are very comfortable for one. I really enjoyed my experience at Table 6! I finally made it here about a month or so ago. I went with a little bit of attitude as I found the quotes Scott Whoever (chef) made to Lori Midson in a Westword article to be arrogant and put a really bad taste in my mouth. I don't care what he thinks of Yelp, but his comment about praise not being enough - that he wants you to buy him wine really annoying. So with attitude I went in, and we were told we'd have to wait quite a long time for our table. It wasn't a big deal, we had lots of wine and good company. By the time we were seated I was a bit toasty and all bad blood was replaced with good wine. Not so much that I couldn't taste the OH MY GOD AMAZING food though. I was in love before I even finished my first bite of the beet salad. WIth that I also had the scallops in a cream sauce. Awesome! I have to admit, now that it's been some time, I don't have the specifics on the meals and what my friends had. I just remember we all enjoyed it 100%. Five stars for the great service as well. The hostess apologized to us many times for our wait, which was really kind of her. Our waiter was super relaxed and very informed - almost as if we were in his living room hanging out. I prefer this over the uptight professional waiter stiffness. I forgot to bring a vial of lemonade to make a faux Urintini with, unfortunately. With how great everyone and everything was, I instead gave much praise and left a generous tip. If Scott Whoever had not been such a jerk in the interview, I would have been happy to buy the kitchen a round too. read more

Solid 4 stars. This place is creative and simply solid. I can never understand why they can't be perfect. Small glitches, either slow service or glitches in food temp, yet still manages to deliver. This visit with salmon beet poke was great. Well executed and tasty! The artichoke was good. The duck entree was interesting (3 of our party went with it) and the temperature was different on all 3 plates. Nevertheless, tasty. Pork loin was well executed! Beignets for dessert were good. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful night out for Valentine's Day at Table 6. I used to live nearby and walk by all the time, thinking to myself, "that place looks cozy and a cool place for a date night". Only took 6 years to finally try it out and I'm regretful that I hadn't come sooner. Table 6 is relatively small, which is further compounded by Covid restrictions, but all of the indoor seating is quite spaced out and I think they did an excellent job managing their space so it still is an enjoyable place to eat. The interior is a perfect blend of eclectic and cozy, with exposed brick walls and old wood floors. They have a relatively small menu (it appeared to be their standard menu, even though it was near v-day), but my girlfriend and I honestly had trouble choosing because everything on the menu sounded excellent. We settled on the Heirloom tomato salad, Shepard's Pie, and mini Mexican chocolate beignet balls. I couldn't have been more pleased with our choices. The salad was perfectly refreshing, the Shepard's Pie was a creative spin on it, with delicious chunks of steak, and the dessert was just enough sweetness to finish off a wonderful meal. Pros: -Indoor dining during Covid without feeling reckless -Neighborhoody, comfortable vibe inside -Friendly and attentive staff -Great choices on the menu, with a large wine selection -Ample parking on the neighborhood street -Feels like a hidden gem -Reasonable prices for a nice dinner Cons: -Ceiling fans were running even though it was chilly, I suspect this is part of Covid restrictions -I imagine being seated by the front door in winter is rough, as there is only a single door to the outside -Doesn't appear they make cocktails, but have beer and wine -Small seating area, so I'd suggest reservations read more

Are you looking for a good spot to take a date? I came here on a date and I thought it was perfect. I don't like stuffy places but appreciate great service and wonderful food. This place was definitely more on the trendy side where you could have a good conversation but it was loud enough that you didn't hear the table next to you. My initial impression was that the patio would lose some of the vibe so we opted to sit inside. As aforementioned, the service was impeccable, from the second we walked in until we left. I liked the wide array of menu options and seeing some I don't usually see - gazpacho and carpaccio come to mind - of which we ordered the latter. It was pretty fantastic. It's a really light dish but, in my opinion, the perfect appetizer for two. I walked in with the intention to order duck, which the waiter confirmed was his favorite, and I'm so happy I went with my gut. The duck confit was all I expected it to be- juicy with great flavor and accompanying items that made the whole dish work very well. I appreciate well thought out dishes that can be executed like this. For dates and small groups, this is a great option for a Friday or Saturday night. For what you get from the ambiance to the service to the food, I think the prices are really fair. read more

HOMERUN. Such a sweet, cozy, intimate place with smooth service and a fun wine list. We also opened and closed the joint (did I mention the wine list?) and it was no bother to one of the owners who also waited on us... starters were great, tater tots, arugula salad, crab cakes.... halibut was not a 10 but I've got a high bar here... chocolate filled beignets... happy we had to wait to check this place out, so worth it! read more

Okay food was amazing, came tonight for my boyfriends birthday celebration, low down... 15 min to get my 100 bottle of wine... mmm parched!! Never slow down a persons drinking... second issue other 15 min for salad?? (We ordered everything at once bear in mind) lastly my pork came out raw, mmm health hazard?? Judge for yourself... but I think for 200 bucks better more refined places that are running during covid... to their bonus they removed the pork chop from the check without my asking and because of the delay in salad brought out shrimp and grits. But for a special occasion I do like a meal that runs timely... hope this helps others evaluate before going, they lost this customer... too many good restaurants that have stellar kitchen timing at this price point. read more

Had a great experience here for brunch this past Sunday. My buttermilk pancakes were the lightest, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had - and they've got gruyere on top! Honestly, I could have done with less cheese (and I didn't need the syrup at all) because what they've got going on in the kitchen with those pancakes doesn't need help. When they first set them down in front of me, I thought they were crepes... nope! Just the best pancakes ever. The whole experience here was good - we were seated promptly (we had a reservation), drinks were refilled pretty consistently, and the staff were very friendly.
