I had two birria queso tacos with beans and rice and they were the best birria I've ever had. The meat was tender and flavorful and the cheese made it perfect. The beans and rice were solid. First time here and we will be back!!! The ambiance was very modern which we loved. We got the steak and chicken fajitas with 2 salsas. Everything was wonderful and very flavorful. The salsas were very good and distinct from each other. I usually don't eat beans from Mexican restaurants but I ate all of mine! It was like a homemade beans! The owner came over and greeted us and made us feel very welcome and gave us a taste of some of the other salsas. The fajitas had roasted corn on the bottom which were a nice touch!! In town from Wisconsin and tried to find an authentic Mexican restaurant on the west side. Well, we found a hidden gem. Family owned and operated, this spot was great from the start. We were welcomed and soon as we walked in. Sat at a quiet table near the back. Super clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they were out of shredded beef (not done cooking), but they gave us recommendations for its replacement. Food portions were large and delicious. We live a couple miles down the road so this place was easy to get to. The outside is sort of unassuming but when you go inside it's a nice restaurant! It's right next door to Subway in the Smith's parking lot at Ft. Apache and Flamingo. We started with an incredible salsa selection. I think it was 5 different ones including flavors I have not had before. I had a house margarita which was excellent. Tacos were a great variety and so good. Can't wait to go back! Oh ya, and the service was excellent. I assume the one guy was the owner and he was heavily involved and making sure people were happy. There were several tables of customers when we were there but it's a pretty new business I believe. We love supporting new local businesses so were happy to go and really happy we did. What a great spot! We tried Ta'Chingon for the first time last night, and we were absolutely delighted with every aspect. First- chips and salsa- we could taste the quality. The house made salsas were so fresh as were the chips. Then, mango margaritas- so delicious, it was hard to drink mine slowly. For our main course we shared "Triple Threat" fajitas. More perfection. And there was plenty of food. We could have probably split a single portion and still had leftovers. The sides, iconic beans and rice, were also delicious. We could tell that this, seemingly family-run, restaurant (our waiter mentioned his brother coming to the restaurant) takes pride in every detail because everything was just SOOO good, fresh, and plentiful. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was warm, caring, and, again, he made sure every detail was perfect. We went there to celebrate a birthday, but we will be back to explore more of their menu and enjoy new flavors of margaritas. All of the others are the same, this is unique! Family owned Hector and Rosalva are absolutely amazing. They make sure to welcome every customer with a smile and make you feel like a real person. Their staff Rafita, Carlitos and Jeremy are amazing. You can tell they enjoy their job! The Chef and kitchen staff are fantastic preparing every dish fresh and tasty! Ambiance is perfect! Their salsas are out of this world, Rosalva's secret recipes; Five Salsa Sampler a must! Their Margaritas are delicious and plenty of bang for your buck! Now their Menu is different and exquisite; I've tried the Triple Threat Fajitas with Frijoles Puercos, Mole de Pollo, Tacos Ta'Chingon, Coctel de Camaron.
