This place is a gem. The recipes are passed down through generations of the Andrade family and are special. The salsas are unique and memorable. We have eaten so many of the dishes and try something new every time. The service is always impeccable but tonight Angelo was our server and made it extra special. I was thrilled to see a new restaurant in this convenient location and it certainly did not disappoint! Upon entering, I was immediately stunned by the complete remodel that has been done to create a distinctly refined, yet casual atmosphere. My server, Carlos, was very friendly and attentive throughout my entire meal. I was pleasantly surprised to see what was clearly a carefully crafted menu with a number of unique dishes and a balance of offerings you might expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant. It was clear to me immediately that the Flavors of Mexico part of the name was alluding to an intentional dive in to the diversity of authentic Mexican food. The fresh made chips and salsa hit the spot to start. A carefully made avocado mojito was instantly smooth and refreshing. The Pollo Enchipotlado I ordered, which I discovered is a favorite dish of one of the owners that his wife makes, was excellent. The two additional homemade salsas that Carlos recommended paired perfectly as well and allowed me to really adjust the flavors in different directions. Since the avocado mojito was so refreshing, I finished the meal with one more and a freshly made flan that was by far the best flan I have ever had. Hector, one of the owners, was in the restaurant and stopped by a few times during my meal. He was engaging and rightly proud of opening the new restaurant. During our conversation, he demonstrated a clear passion for the food and pride in ensuring any dish they make is done right. A promise of more unique dishes from around Mexico was exciting to hear and definitely warrants going back again just to see what other delicious options appear. Here's a long review that nobody asked for: Chips and Salsa- 9/10, warm, freshly salted chips with housemade red salsa that was delicious. If the chips and Salsa don't hit right, none of the food will and these were top notch! Queso Fundido- 9/10-YUM! We just got it plain and it was perfection, the texture was spot on Tacos ta Chingon- 9/10- the meat was flavorful, guacamole was fresh, appreciated the double tortilla with a cheese crust because the tacos are massive, it's messy to eat but so worth it. Tacos de Camaron-8/10, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned and was better quality and freshness than most restaurants. The 2 fresh salsa were the perfect addition. The shrimp was battered, I preferred it without but still delicious. Bunuelos con Helado- Star of the Show!!! 11/10. The perfect amount of rich caramel with cinnamon and sugar covered tortillas! Ta'Chingon is truly a hidden gem! My husband and I ordered the triple threat fajita which was perfect for the both of us and our LO. We also ordered aguachile, the five sauce sampler and the cheesecake cause you can never say no to dessert. The food was amazing and so full of flavor, leaving our tummies happy and full! Rosalba, the owner, was wonderful. From the moment we walked in to the second we left, she made sure we were well taken care of. She offered water while we waited for a table to open up, asked if we wanted rice/beans to feed my LO while waiting for our food and constantly came by to check in. Had an errand on that side of town and used Yelp to find a Mexican restaurant per Moms request. This place sounded good. It didn't disappoint. It's kinda hidden in the shopping center. Inside decor is just enough. It was surprisingly empty when we arrived at 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted quickly and sat. Super friendly. Chips and salsa were on point. Freshly made chips is an a plus in my book!! Someone came and asked if we wanted to try some other salsas and brought 2 for use to try. Unique tastes but yummy!! Found this place on Yelp. Had great reviews and was up the street from our house so we decided to try it out. We were greeted immediately by the staff. Our server was the bartender as well, and he was extremely nice! I ordered the Jimmychanga with shredded beef and my wife got one of the enchiladas. My Jimmychanga was amazing! The flakeyness and flavors were on point. My wife had asked for some hot sauce, so he brought out a couple home made hot sauces, and I am glad she had asked because it had elevated our already delicious dishes! The place was clean and open. Let me start off by stating that this is my new FAVORITE restaurant. The food was AMAZING, we loved our entrees and couldn't believe the prices for the portion sizes, delicious taste and presentation! This is the Mexican taste I have been looking for since moving to Vegas. They offer seasoned ground beef which isn't always easy to find here in Vegas. They start you off with complimentary prepared chips and homemade salsa. We could have made a meal out of those alone because they were so good. Lol I ordered the "Jimmychanga" with the seasoned ground beef and my husband ordered the "Tacos De Pollo (2)" w/side of refried beans. We were not disappointed at all, both entrees exceeded our expectations by far! When we first walked in we received a very warm and friendly greeting. The atmosphere is truly an upscale vibe and upscale food, but without the upscale prices. We were pleasantly surprised. We were not expecting such a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was outstanding, no complaints whatsoever! The owner, Hector, was SUPER nice and personable, he came over to our table and introduced himself and chatted with us telling us a few interesting stories behind some of the many delicious sauces they have, and about how their menu items are all made fresh, along with him telling us a funny story about how the name of the menu item that I had called the Jimmychanga, came about. Lol We had a wonderful evening, and were so glad that we decided to stop there for dinner. On the particular evening of 10/30 when we were there, we had no idea that we were close to being the last customers for the night because they close pretty early, so we were basically there until closing. We didn't figure that out until a few days later when we were considering going back again until we looked up their hours. Lol The realization that we basically had been there for dinner so close to their closing time made the establishment that much more special in our eyes, because of the fact that they never made us feel rushed, or skimped on the food preparations/presentation/taste, overall service, or giving us the full first time experience. We truly appreciate an establishment with such outstanding customer service which is fairly hard to find these days. We ordered delivery tonight from here. We ordered the triple threat fajitas. The portion is very small only 4 shrimp, very small amount of chicken and steak ($36/$45 with the markup). We did not receive the tortillas, guacamole, pico no toppings. The pictures online show huge portions of fajitas. There was not much flavor either. The steak was tender. However the salsa verde that was $2.50 for a very small cup was delicious. We talked to the manager. She was very argumentative. She claimed to see the missing items in our order bagged and then basically accused the delivery service of doing something with the missing items. There was one sealed bag that came and the items were missing. She seemed to make excuses but in the end she said she would refund us. We will not order from there. There are much better Mexican restaurants in Vegas. Response : My husband nor I are liars you are terrible business minded owners to accuse anyone of lying about anything. A 5 delivery driver would not steal tortillas and toppings . We did not receive things that came with our meal that we paid for and I am well aware of ordering markups which I state in my post ! This serving size is not worth your menu price of $36 as I stated. But we still did not receive the items they were not packaged in our order. I am allowed to post the prices, quality and quantity and missing items. The owner was vey rude and argumentative and would not let me even talk! You are not an honest business! Came here last Friday night and in the mood for some good chips and salsa and enchiladas. Ta'Chingon did NOT disappoint--the chips are obviously fried in-house but were a bit on the greasy side. House salsa was excellent with a nice mixture of heat and flavor; I almost ordered some to go. We ordered a guacamole and a small side of "verde maldita" a green salsa--both were very good and worth trying. I love how their guac was super fresh and creamy and will definitely order this again. Hubby and I both ordered Cokes (fountain drinks/off the gun here so that is a big plus) and the enchiladas tricolor. He got the beef (similar to barbacoa) and I did the shredded chicken. Both were excellent. All three sauces, roja, verde, and creme were very good. Best way to say it, they were all tame with good flavor. Entrees come with the traditional arroz and frijoles. Rice and beans were good but slightly forgettable. Presentation of everything was executed very well. Service was excellent with our server and manager checking on us without being overbearing. You can see the staff care about their guests' experiences. This is an excellent Mexican restaurant to try with great food, fair prices, good service, contemporary ambiance, full bar, and easy access location (with a very large but helpful outdoor sign in the Smith's shopping complex located at Fort Apache and Flamingo). A few things were a bit ambiguous for us and it's nothing but a few changes they can make on their menus. The menus we were given had no description of their 8 salsas but we knew from other Yelpers photos of which extra salsa we wanted to order. Hopefully they can include the descriptions in their main menu. Also when we ordered our enchiladas, the description in the menu says it was with shredded chicken. Our server let us know we had other options of beef and (maybe?) shrimp. So hopefully they can include these options on a new menu? We were seated in a half booth in the very back but i5 was fine, our server was very friendly and attentive, we never felt like we were forgotten in the back. As for the food. We started with the Tostada de Atun. No seasoning whatsoever. Lacked salt and acidity. There was a drizzle of a green sauce, maybe a cilantro crema? The only thing that had flavor and there wasn't enough of it on there. I carry around tiny tins of maldon sea salt and wr had to sprinkle a generous amount on this dish to bring oyt ANY flavor. I ordered the fish tacos appetizer as my entree and added a third taco for an additional $7. And a said of the frijoles puercos. The fish tacos were Baja style so battered and fried and all tge fish was soft and soggy. No crisp to the batter whatsoever. The third taco felt like the batter amd fish were not fully cooked. The beans were so good! Cooked in a broth with chorizo and small diced bacon, packed with flavor. My husband had the carne en su jugo,beef simmered in its own juices and it was so flavorful, I should've ordered that instead. Our server and a manager apologized for tge tacos and said they would remove the third additional taco off our check. They also offered to make me another one to go, we were headed to watch a movie so I politely declined but it was appreciated. We had the coffee flavored flan and a carajillo for dessert. Both excellent! When we got the bill,tge additional fish taco was not taken off so we had to remind the server. Normally our favorite place as we've always enjoyed coming here, but our visit yesterday afternoon was disappointing. When we arrived, it was somewhat busy, and we were asked to wait while they caught up. That was completely understandable. However, as we waited, other guests came in, grew impatient, and seated themselves without any apparent response from staff. At one point, a server began to seat us, but another staff member stopped them and said no one would be seated until things were under control. Unfortunately, after waiting about 30 minutes with no updates or acknowledgment, we were still not seated and were ignored. We noticed that tables already seated before our arrival were just receiving their food, which suggested a longer wait--but that wasn't communicated to us. Ultimately, we decided to leave due to the lack of communication and organization. This experience reflected poor customer service and a need for better management during busy times. read more

This place has really authentic, delicious Mexican food. This is a nice change of pace for Vegas. Ta'Chingon is authentic and high quality, and reasonably priced for what you get IMO. We got the combo fajitas to share. The steak and shrimp were delicious. The chicken was ok. The sides were awesome - an ample amount of handmade corn and flour tortillas, a LOT of guac and all the fixings. My only gripe was that the meat portions could have been a bit more to match the portions of the sides, but I think that may have been a result of ordering the combo. I'd probably get all asada next time. The salsas are all homemade and absolute fire. They definitely have a kick. We'll be back to try the happy hour deals - $3 off tacos between 3-6 PM! read more

Had my first visit on Mother's Day with my family. It was a great experience. They took us right away to a booth since we had a reservation.
