Found this charm closed to PGA Superstore. Place is almost hidden but glad I found it. The lady was very friendly and explained how everything works. I ended up getting Bistec and pastor tacos. Both were very good and the tortilla were warm and toasty! Place is not that big but able to accommodate a large party they have Mondays specials that offer tacos specials for less!

It was soooo good!!! The atmosphere was great and the waitress was so sweet. The food was phenomenal and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back!!!

The food is delish! The meat from the bistec was very good quality, as it dint have a lot of the fat and skin that other bistec tacos have. The bistec quesadillas were delicious! The flour tortillas are very light and crisp! My daughter had 2 bean and cheese tacos! She loves them!! Will definitely come back to whenever I crave good quality tacos!!!

I was highly impressed with these tacos, I did prefer the pastor over the bistek, but both were delicious. But those SPECIAL BEANS!!! Let me tell you. I would buy those by the gallon. Sooooooo yummy. To drink, I think I got the hibiscus agua Fresca, I can't really remember but it was delicious, but a little sweet. The service was fast, and good. Nothing crazy. The restaurant is a little crowded, but only because it's busy and delicious. The prices aren't crazy, but it was a little pricey for 2 people for lunch, that's my only complaint. But you get what you pay for!

The bistec taquitos were solid--juicy, a little char on the edges, plenty of avocado and crumbled queso fresco. Pastor had just enough sweetness, though one taco was overloaded with onions. Tortillas hit fresh off the griddle, soft and warm, but a couple were a bit too chewy, like they stayed on the heat just a second too long. Combo 1's a good deal--six tacos and a drink fills you up without hurting your wallet. Horchata had that creamy, cinnamon kick without being overly sweet. The hibiscus agua fresca tasted like they actually steeped the flowers, not just poured from a mix. Special beans came with chunks of beef and avocado, more like a stew than a side, in the best way. Inside's casual, colorful, and covered in pop culture calaveras. Fast service, no attitude. Worth it for a relaxed taco fix that feels homemade but with restaurant speed.

Street tacos: Taquito Barbacoa on corn. Typical and $1.89

Service was good, but food is pricey and disappointing. I expected the true 8in and 12in tacos that the food influencers posted, but that's not what I received. The chips are good and fresh. The bean and cheese taco was good. The volcano was good but not worth the price.

I come here at least once a month. They're my go-to taco spot. I've never been disappointed with the food. My usual orders are the mini tacos (you pick your choice of meat and it comes with onion, cilantro, avocado and queso fresco). The meat (I get bistec) is always so tender and flavorful but for me what really makes a good taco is the salsa options! They have several to pick from, I personally get the salsa verde. It's so creamy and just the perfect amount of spicy. Occasionally I'll get the orange salsa (habanero) and let me tell you.. it's just as good. It really makes for the perfect taco. As far as service, I've never had any issues. Although a perk for me for days I prefer not to speak with anyone at all, they have two kiosks right when you walk in so you can just place the order yourself. Makes for a quicker transaction for when someone is already ordering at the register. The restaurant and bathrooms have always been clean when I visit. You all just gotta trust me... tacos are 10/10! If you haven't been here please give them a try.

Taco Blvd makes some excellent traditional tacos. They are affordable, have a variety of sizes, and delicious. Located in the 1604 area, the restaurant is fairly small with about 8 - 10 tables. It is clean and sparsely decorated, and I love the pictures of various well known celebrities with Catrina face painting. Staff is friendly and efficient. I have ordered from them quite a few times, and their tacos are always well cooked and prepared. I also think their salsas are absolutely fabulous. I can't recommend this place enough, especially if looking for al pastor tacos and quesadillas.

This is our new go to spot for the most amazing street tacos! There is a pretty good selection and the prices are very reasonable. Make sure you try the green sauce because it is so so so delish! Not too hot and just a tiny bit of spice. The place is small and fills up fast but people eat and leave just as fast. Staff is super friendly and helpful. You definitely need to check this place out! read more

I've gotten the steak egg and cheese breakfast taco; bacon egg and cheese; and potato egg and cheese breakfast tacos. You definitely want at least two since they're pretty small. But so delicious! Highly recommended. read more

Staff was friendly, has English/Spanish speaker in the front. Food for 2 came out before I could sit down, was pleased with how quick I got my food. Tacos were the best in the area. Anything north of taco blvd or nearby it doesn't compare. Atmosphere was club like, I liked the music they had going. I love hole in the wall kinda taco shops with the best tacos ever, I find one in every town and was disappointed I hadn't found one near my new area until now! Will be back :) read more

I was recommended this place by a friend and I am so happy I stopped to try it out! We each started out with a 6 count of the mini corn street tacos, they were so delicious and filling. You can customize your toppings to your liking. The store has small and large seating, making it great for all party sizes. They also have self order stations making ordering a breeze. I can't believe how many times I drove by this place before trying it! My quesadillas were AMAZING! They were perfectly toasted and filled with the perfect ratio of cheese: tortilla: protein. The pastor was a little spicier than the bistek and each can with cilantro, onions and a slice of avocado. The green sauce was a little creamy and paired perfectly with the enchiladas. Searched for street tacos and this place came up!!! All the food looked so good! Walked in and it's super nice and clean! Catherine told us to come to the counter, it was my first time so I wasn't sure if some of the items, she went to the back and brought me a little bisteak, pastor and the mixed steak, OMGGGGGGGG all the meat was sooooo good and fresh!!! I ordered the street tacos with a few of each, wanted to try their charro beans and she suggested the loaded beans and none of my food disappointed!!!! Everything was soooooooooooo good!! I am now stuffed to capacity and I will definitely be back because these are some of the best street tacos I've had since I've been in Texas (2years in), check them out today!!!!!! read more

I'm glad I took a chance on something new because Taco Blvd is really tasty, plus the shop is cute and super clean. Customer service was good and also patient because we didn't know the menu and I had a few questions. Where I come from taquitos are rolled up crispy little things. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. The mixologist explained they don't do smoked old fashions due to fire hazard and location in a historic building. But he still made an engaging presentation in creating our cocktails. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!

The recurring major flaw, is the way the restaurant inside was designed. It is beautiful but made with all hard surfaces. Nothing present to absorb sounds. As a result sounds inside magnify to a point our servers have had to bend over or take a knee to gather clients food orders during busy times. I feel like I am ar a big Spurs game with the sound bouncing around. Those at our table have had a hard time to have a conversation with each other at times. The small room up front is designed so sound bouncing off hard surfaces is worst in this room. I have had to ask to be relocated twice from this room due the sound level. The kitchen area in the front do not have doors to abd from the kitcgen to the dinibg rooms. Another design flaw, as a result the seating areas loud sound comes into the kitchen area. I can not imagine how the staff communicate to each other in this work setting.

Taco Blvd. Is Awesome! I've now been to this location on Blanco Road twice, and both experiences have been absolutely amazing. Karla, the Manager/Cashier, was super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu while making the entire experience a positive one. I thought the décor was awesome--specifically the giant sugar skull on the left wall when you walk in! I was also pleasantly surprised to find out you can actually purchase some of the other cool, pop-culture-related art right off the walls. Neat stuff! If you're hungry out on Blanco Road, slide into the shopping center behind the Whataburger and Chick-Fil-A, for a San Antonio taco experience that's second to none. Stopped in with some friends from out of town, you have to have the street tacos! So good. Seriously, my husband went back to order more. We each got the marinated pork, followed my the barbacoa. There's not a ton of ingredients, just the meat, onion, cilantro + sauces on the table but that's what makes them so yummy. You can actually TASTE the flavors. We also got the side of charro beans which blew us away. Best charro we've had thus far. Plus, they're open until 3am. As a night shifter, this is awesome. Could use more seating but that's like #19 on my list of priorities when visiting this place, because I would sit on the ground a thousand times just to get my hands on these tacos. Taco Blvd is the best tacos in SA hands down. I was hesitant at first due to the location, and because I been to multiple taco trucks in SA as well. Once I tried the food I really enjoyed it. Very authentic Mexican food. The Al Pastor is crunchy and not just tossed in orange sauce but actually cooked like Trompo! The Asada is very tasty as well as the barbacoa wrapped in cheese so every bite is flavorful. Lastly, the Frijoles Especiales are a must have. They also have thee types of salsa and creamy salsa verde which is my favorite. The only thing I didn't like is the price but it is worth every penny! read more

This is our favorite place for tacos, period! From street tacos, to quesadillas to delicious, one-of-a-kind beans...they have it all! You can order several of your favorite meat such as bistec topped with grilled onions, crema and cheese to delicious chicken, barbacoa or pork. It is all good. All is homemade and fresh. Tried Taco Blvd for the first time with a group of 5 and everything was great. Plenty of space and menu was easy to order from. Young girl at the register brought some of our food directly to our table and even cleared our plates when we were done (something she didnt have to do). I ordered 4 taquitos (3 bistek, 1 molleja) and all the meats were soft and tacos filled just enough. The frijoles especiales were especially good, add in their green salsa and our whole group left with our stomachs pleasantly filled. I am from Mexico.. the thing I miss the most is authentic Mexican street food. I found a spot on the Northside .. HOLD ON! Yes I said the NORTH SIDE that brings me back to a simpler time in Mexico. Definitely the best street tacos I've had in a while! The person working the register said that they do not get the tips that are left are credit cards and that owners keep them?! Shame on you! It doesn't matter if they make more than an average server... We don't leave tips for you to keep! Take care of the people that run your business... they were doing a great job! There are a few places in San Antonio that serve great tacos and this is one of those. The corn tortillas are good - a nice amount of oil that makes them far from dry and brittle. The menu is short but what is to be expected from a taco place. They serve horchata, jamaica and Mexican soda. Día de los muertos inspired pics are on the walls and a mirror with a neon sign that reads something to the tune of "call me pretty and feed me tacos". Perfect Instagram photo opportunity. Pirata and bistec taquitos are amazing!! We eat in and get to go frequently. Taco Blvd has the best tacos in San Antonio, hands down!! I grab breakfast there three times a week and dinner once or twice depending on our crazy family schedule and my work schedule. The food is authentic and the street tacos are so delicious. I tried this place for the first time. I must say their tacos are very good and at a decent price. They are so far the best street tacos I have tried in san Antonio. They come very close to the tacos from down the valley. The only thing is that they need to work on getting the orders out faster and the place is too small but the big amount of customers coming in every other minute. but I don't complain since they just opened and I know it will get better with time. read more

We went to TACO BLV and everything was delicious. We ordered a TACO PIRATA, ONE ORDER OF 6 BISTEC AND PASTOR, best tacos around!!! It's freaking awesome...green salsa and habanero for the ones that love spicy (like us) is bomb!!! I'm very pleased with the food, the place and the service!!! We definitely recommend you to give it a try!!! OH and I almost forgot the tortillas My goodness like Mexican tortillas!! We're definitely going back!! read more

I must have tried over two dozen taco places since I moved to San Antonio from Chicago, each time more disappointing than the last (lettuce & tomatoes DO NOT go on tacos). Until now. I absolutely LOVE their 8" taco (quesadillas) & machetes! They're served with the traditional cebolla, cilantro, y queso. I must be in here 2-3 a week, to be honest. I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a good taco & for a reasonable price. read more

We went to taco blvd for the first time and tried the pollo, barbacoa, al pastor, and bistec taquitos as well as the charro beans especial. The al pastor was deliciously marinated, just missing pineapple! The barbacoa was delicious and tender, and luckily not greasy like many places you find. The taquitos (basically mini tacos) were served on a really good corn tortilla with a variety of salsas, try them all! read more

I read up on this place via their social media profiles which show some great looking tacos. My initial visit I had to go for the tacos. I got a pack of 4 tacos, 1 asada and 3 pastor. Along with a side of beans. All I got to say is the food was mouth watering good. The tacos though small are packed with so much flavor almost reminding me of tacos from the Rio Grande Valley. I highly suggest this place. read more

FINALLY found a taco place close to home, just how we have it back in the valley! Had the bistec-asada taquitos and frijoles especiales, everything was perfect and on point! Love the variety of salsas. Awesome food, affordable prices, friendly staff with great service and very clean environment. Definetly coming back to try more! Wish it was closer to my area, but 30 mins is worth the drive. read more

Taco Blvd is the hottest New Mexican taqueria in San Antonio! If you're looking for authentic Mexican volcanes tacos quesadillas etc ven a taco blvd! Me encantan costras de chorizo pero no estaban en el menú y me la hicieron de todos modos y estaba FENOMENAL! I'd even recommend Taco Blvd to everyone!!
