Found this charm closed to PGA Superstore. Place is almost hidden but glad I found it. The lady was very friendly and explained how everything works. I ended up getting Bistec and pastor tacos. Both were very good and the tortilla were warm and toasty! Place is not that big but able to accommodate a large party they have Mondays specials that offer tacos specials for less!

It was soooo good!!! The atmosphere was great and the waitress was so sweet. The food was phenomenal and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back!!!

The food is delish! The meat from the bistec was very good quality, as it dint have a lot of the fat and skin that other bistec tacos have. The bistec quesadillas were delicious! The flour tortillas are very light and crisp! My daughter had 2 bean and cheese tacos! She loves them!! Will definitely come back to whenever I crave good quality tacos!!!

I was CRAVING some loaded mini tacos, and wasn't sure if San Antonio really offered anything like that but I was determined to find some... & BOOM. Taco Blvd delivered. I was highly impressed with these tacos, I did prefer the pastor over the bistek, but both were delicious. But those SPECIAL BEANS!!! Let me tell you. I would buy those by the gallon. Sooooooo yummy. To drink, I think I got the hibiscus agua Fresca, I can't really remember but it was delicious, but a little sweet. The service was fast, and good. Nothing crazy. The restaurant is a little crowded, but only because it's busy and delicious. The prices aren't crazy, but it was a little pricey for 2 people for lunch, that's my only complaint. But you get what you pay for!

i love how they do "taquitos" haha so small and cute but bold in flavor both meats had a great charred flavor, but the bistec was a little tough both red and green salsas were SPICYYYY

The bistec taquitos were solid--juicy, a little char on the edges, plenty of avocado and crumbled queso fresco. Pastor had just enough sweetness, though one taco was overloaded with onions. Tortillas hit fresh off the griddle, soft and warm, but a couple were a bit too chewy, like they stayed on the heat just a second too long. Combo 1's a good deal--six tacos and a drink fills you up without hurting your wallet. Horchata had that creamy, cinnamon kick without being overly sweet. The hibiscus agua fresca tasted like they actually steeped the flowers, not just poured from a mix. Special beans came with chunks of beef and avocado, more like a stew than a side, in the best way. Inside's casual, colorful, and covered in pop culture calaveras. Fast service, no attitude. Worth it for a relaxed taco fix that feels homemade but with restaurant speed.

Street tacos: Taquito Barbacoa on corn. Typical and $1.89

Service was good, but food is pricey and disappointing. I expected the true 8in and 12in tacos that the food influencers posted, but that's not what I received. The chips are good and fresh. The bean and cheese taco was good. The volcano was good but not worth the price.

I come here at least once a month. They're my go-to taco spot. I've never been disappointed with the food. My usual orders are the mini tacos (you pick your choice of meat and it comes with onion, cilantro, avocado and queso fresco). The meat (I get bistec) is always so tender and flavorful but for me what really makes a good taco is the salsa options! They have several to pick from, I personally get the salsa verde. It's so creamy and just the perfect amount of spicy. Occasionally I'll get the orange salsa (habanero) and let me tell you.. it's just as good. It really makes for the perfect taco. As far as service, I've never had any issues. Although a perk for me for days I prefer not to speak with anyone at all, they have two kiosks right when you walk in so you can just place the order yourself. Makes for a quicker transaction for when someone is already ordering at the register. The restaurant and bathrooms have always been clean when I visit. You all just gotta trust me... tacos are 10/10! If you haven't been here please give them a try.

Taco Blvd makes some excellent traditional tacos. They are affordable, have a variety of sizes, and delicious. Located in the 1604 area, the restaurant is fairly small with about 8 - 10 tables. It is clean and sparsely decorated, and I love the pictures of various well known celebrities with Catrina face painting. Staff is friendly and efficient. I have ordered from them quite a few times, and their tacos are always well cooked and prepared. I also think their salsas are absolutely fabulous. I can't recommend this place enough, especially if looking for al pastor tacos and quesadillas.

GAME CHANGER! When…read moreI visit San Antonio Plantaqueria is an absolute must. I'm taken aback every time I walk into to this wonderfully positioned taqueria in downtown steps from the River Walk. The smells, the feels, the sounds- it'll set your senses on fire. It's ambience is nothing short of walking the streets of Mexico and stumbling across the best local food find there is- it's your lucky day. It doesn't end there, because I have yet to discuss the flavors that this place dishes out. If you can imagine that other taquerias in town as as good as mamma's cooking, Plantaqueria is grandma's cooking saying, " I taught them everything they know." The counter service, decor and neon lights transport you to a pueblo that you probably have no business being in but were fortunate enough to get lost in. I feel that the people working to advance this visionary concept are in love with what they do because you get that experience with every bite of fresh, homemade goodness, weather you dine in or take/order out. Dude, fresh corn and flour tortillas, C'mon, man!! And speaking of vision, the owner, Sofia, who looks like she would get IDd at a bar has created something truly unique and incredibly delicious. Plantaqueria has revolutionized modern, classical Mexican street cuisine. It's open 7am-7pm so you can literally have this all day and you might wish you did. Y'all need to get you some, and don't thank me, thank the purveyors of this Alamo City gem. P.s. I've brought my mom in to eat this stuff and she totally agrees!

(It had Just Egg but I think other things added with it. It felt that it was softer and lighter than if it was only Just Egg) and pico de gallo on handmade flour tortilla. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Their two self-serve complementary salsas were also fun and creamy. Concha- Delicious and we liked the top of it. Maybe one of our favorite conchas. Elote hot cake - Came out really hot and was delicious. These are only available on weekends. I was tempted to get more but we had lots more food targets on the schedule. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. My husband who is usually not as crazy as me about nopales liked them here. They have mole on the weekends but it's not housemade from scratch. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

That's exactly the energy at Los Weyes de la Asada. From the second you walk up, it feels alive. Not in a forced way, more like you've been there before, even if it's your first time. The kind of place where your stress, your diet, even your cruda takes a backseat. Now the food. No overthinking needed here. Everything coming out of that truck is a straight up pow pow of flavor. The carne is cooked just right, juicy with that perfect char, and the corn tortillas are legit, soft but with enough structure to hold everything together. I ordered the Mamón and the Chingón, and honestly, both lived up to the names. No misses. And the agua fresca de fresa? That sealed it. They serve it in a little bolsita, which somehow makes it hit even better. Simple, nostalgic, and just cool. It's all tucked inside El Camino, which adds to the whole vibe, string lights, people hanging out, that easygoing outdoor feel where you lose track of time a little.

The smell alone made me think we were in for something special. We grabbed a couple of cocktails and ordered tacos, which seemed like the obvious choice. With the aroma coming from the grill and all the recommendations I'd heard, I was expecting a little more flavor and a bigger wow factor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good, and the charcoal grill definitely adds to the experience. I just found the food itself to be more "solid" than "spectacular." Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!
