OK I know what happened with this restaurant now, the lady that started it passed away, very very sad, the food could only be described as low grade dog food, I was starving and stopped by for an enchilada plate, YUCK, the beans were like thick clay old greasy and gross!!!! the enchiladas had like four table spoons of low grade icky gravy on them, and the rice was ack, also they charge two dollars for chips, they have huge signs out front bragging about being open for twenty five years, the food in this place is an insult to mexican food. to the family members that took over this spot, do san antonio a favor and go out of business............... read more

This place is absolutely delicious. It's affordable, super fast, and their staff has great attention to detail. We order for the company all the time and they always make sure to give us all the little extras we ask for. Their salsa is actually spicy and tortillas are perfect. I've never eaten inside, but I highly recommend the food. Great job Staff! The will also deliver directly if you call the restaurant. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. I give it a hidden Gem vibe. The breakfast tacos are very good and are consistently well made. I usually get potato and chorizo tacos and they are the best. My dad loves to get the Huevo Ranchero plate he always gets it when we eat here. My boyfriend and I were running errands on our off day, we were on the North Central part of town near his job, he let me know there was an awesome little taco spot we could try before we got our day started. We arrived around 9am, there was a small crowd but as soon as we walked in we were able to order. My boyfriend ordered Carne Guisada w/ flour tortilla and a bacon, egg w/ potato taco. I am on my healthy kick so I opted for Carne Guisada on a corn tortilla and a Bacon and Potato taco on corn as well. We sat down in the back of the restaurant and the waitress brought our order very timely. The tacos were pretty good, hot and fresh. The tortillas took the cake though, I could appreciate the fact the tortillas were made from scratch. Authentic Mexican Food. We enjoyed our tacos and were on our way. It is one of the best hole in the wall restaurant for delicious food and fast service! They always seem to have some deal on Groupon or Living Social, which is awesome since $20 there goes a long way! I'm a big fan of their mini tacos! They give you like 6 and its always covered in asada and I always add queso blanco to it with a side of avocado! Their salsas are pretty good also! I go in sometimes and order approx. 15ish breakfast tacos for my work team and they are very fast at getting them ready. I've also tried their soups, taco salad, nachos, and quesadillas and none of them were disappointing. They have a daily special and Wednesday is one of my favorites which is Chile Relleno, which is also some of co-worker's favorite dish there. Unimpressive. This place lured me in the with the promise of a free taco from an ad I found in the paper. It took them quite some time to realize that I had come into the restaurant, and actually was there to eat. I finally flagged down the waitress, who forgot the menu, and disappeared. I ended up hunting down my own menu without her help. My water glass went empty, and was never refilled. Many of the tables were still covered with food and not bused after the patrons had left, so it made it difficult to find a place to sit. The table I found still had ort on it from the previous diner. It was never cleaned up. The tacos were lackluster. They weren't filled very fat. The ingredients looked like they had been sitting out for some time. The tortillas seemed to be made on site, but I couldn't tell. There was nothing special about them. I asked for salsa, and never got any. All they had was Tabasco Sauce. I found the salsa bar at the front of the place after I had paid my tab and was leaving, so I can't comment on the quality of the salsa, just the absence of it at the tables.
