It's unusual to be able to rate a fast food place 4 or 5 stars but taco casa definitely deserves it! They keep it simple with their menu, it's straight forward. My absolute favorite item is the tostada, nothing fancy at all but they pile on the topping and their hot sauce is so perfect! You can tell their cheese is really fresh and it's finely shredded, so easy to just eat on it's own! And they have black olives! Basically, go give them a shot if you haven't! read more

If you're okay with straight up very simple stuffed beef soft taco, crunchy taco, or any other menu item, then this is the place for you. Co-worker bought us lunch and I opted for the soft taco and crunchy taco. Yaye for awesome co-workers! The soft taco is stuffed with plenty of meat (3x of what those fast food chains will give you), lettuce and plenty of thinly shredded cheese. Beef wasn't too salty and with plenty of hot sauce (since I love my hot sauce), not too bad. Crunchy taco fairly the same as soft taco with the exception of the crispy taco shell. So pretty good too. The taco shell you can clearly see did soak up the grease from beef. This added plenty of flavor (O.O) to the taco like anything else with juices of fat. lol Most likely will get tacos from here if I need a quick pick me up and something super simple but plenty of it. Taco Casa is one of the better fast food taco joints around. The cheese is the greatest thing ever, and the meat is about what you'd expect (somewhere between taco bell and taco bueno). One of the things I used to love about Taco Casa was how cheap it was, but it seems like every time I go it's more expensive. Then again I'm not sure if the prices are going up or I'm ordering more food LOL! My favorite item is probably the chilada with no olives. It's basically a smothered burrito with spicy sauce added full of meet and topped with cheese. The classic country or soft tacos are great as well. I always come here and I am always happy with the friendly employees and food. So today my husband went through drive- thru, and when he got home, we were missing some food. I was upset and thought I would go and the employees wouldn't believe me. That they would think I was trying to get free food. So I spoke with the manager Tina, and she understood and I could tell she felt bad. Kept apologizing and I told her I understood not to worry. I visited the drive thru window on 2/15/15 at 12:23pm. There was one car ahead of me and 2 cars behind me. It took about 6 minutes to receive a super burrito and super taco meaning the 2nd car behind me has the probability of waiting 12 minutes for their order. The taco was good but the burrito was cold and extremely salty (threw it away). Wait time of 6 minutes for 2 items is not appropriate for a drive thru window at a fast food joint. This taco casa always makes sure that their customers are well taken care of. We don't go very often but when we do the food is fresh and the portions are large. We only ordered a few items but they handed us two bags filled to the top with food without charging us extra. With everything going on in the world today it's nice that the employees at taco casa care about their customers and show their appreciation and their concern in making sure no one goes hungry. $.99 Sweet Tea amongst other goodies! The first time I had Taco Casa, I was visiting a friend in the country. This was the ONLY fast food joint in the area. I thought it couldn't possibly be good. I was wrong! I became hooked on their Super Burrito instantly. It was just like my Mom made us when we were kids with black olives added in. The Super Taco is just as good with a light, crispy texture. The meat is flavorful and all the ingredients are chopped fresh daily. The taco sauce is tasty without overpowering the flavor of the meat. I thought I would never get to experience Taco Casa again because there was no locations in within a mile of civilization! Their locations are always on the farside! But alas, Taco Casa heard my stomach rumble and they answered the call with a new Irving locale. I have never been so happy to see a fast food joint since they opened the Del Taco came back! The portions are generous and you will always get a lot for your buck. This place is a MUST HAVE! I was so excited to find out one was going near where I work. I went with some colleagues who had only heard me raving about Taco Casa, and all agree my raves were spot on. You get generous helpings of fresh food, and the tea is excellent! My favorite thing about TC is that they don't ration the ingredients like other places. For example, you get more cheese on a regular item than you do at other places when you ask for extra cheese. The taco shells are also fresh-made and very crunchy. TC puts all the other fast food Mexican places to shame. It's crunchy-licious! read more

This place serves up some great tacos. Don't go expecting gas station tacos, it ain't that kind of party fluffy. They offer crispy, fresh taco's with Ton O Cheese on them, and other offerings. If I could leave this store a zero star I would . The WORST SERVICE. We get the BOX 6 tacos/6 bean burritos they usually get my burritos wrong so I check them before we leave the burritos are thin as paper so I go back to the counter the manager TINA said what do you want me to do remake them I said YES I said it's basically tortilla and cheese. She gets an attitude and grabbed the food and threw it in the trash and remade them . We get home && we are missing 6 tacos drive all the way back up there walk in 1 lady was already complaining about the service and told us DONT complain to her she don't care. Tina was basically calling us a lier saying she's the one that made the tacos but they are always in a rush making food she probably gave our order to someone in the drive threw. As we are waiting ANOTHER lady comes in to complain and Tina said she was going to call the COPS on us and Said she was done talking to us. THE WORST WORST SERVICE EVER. The food is terrific, service is excellent and restaurant is clean. Sadly they have zero commitment to the environment. They furnish big plastic glasses for drinks that can be re-used many, many times. Contrary to health department rules and the great example set by numerous fast food restaurants, they refuse to allow the re-use of clean cups. I hope we'll see them step up and realize we have enough trash in our world, we don't need more. ive been going too jordan johnsons location in irving here for about 2 yrs everytime i go there the employees are so rude cant take a small special order i asked the window person several times whats your name and their answer is i dont have too give you my name' i said its policy, so apprently their insacure and afraid about getting in trouble. talked too the owner (jordan johnson)several times and everytime hes just as rude as his employees has no customer service ethicd, so he susposely talked with his employees and they all were dishonest and he fired1 he said and he had all their backs. so he promised too send me some taco cards a week went by called him made arrangements too pick them up then his employee sent them , then it changed too i mailed myself. so i called him he was rude as heck too me. so i told him i took off 1 of the bad reviews he ask me too get some taco cards. our conversation yesterday i hung on him and he said your not allowed too come up here anymore and threatened too call the police and he would press charges. so now i figured out the cards coupons he sent me are trash because i can only redeem them at his location this owner jordan and all his employees are the most rudest people ive ever encountered. couldnt pay me too ever go too this location. read more

We just relocated to Irving from the Mid-cities and I've lived in Texas most of my life so Mexican fast food isn't new to me. Taco Casa is though. I yelped it one night when we wanted quick takeout and were tired of burgers and chicken. It got such rave reviews on yelp, I thought why not try it? The food is great and it's made to order rather than sitting in a warming pan. The sweet tea is great. I'm not a big sweet tea drinker so I got half sweet and half unsweet. You get tons of meat and fillings and they don't overdo the lettuce like most places, from what I can tell. I always get my items without lettuce. There's something about the meat they serve, it's flavourful, juicy and seasoned perfectly and I'm a picky PITA when it comes to meat. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!! I get cravings for this place and I can't say that about other local Tex-Mex or Mexican food chains. Service is polite and quick. read more
