    Steak Burrito!!
    Gerry L.

This past Thursday my wife had a craving for Mexican food and we decided to pass by Taco Rico located across the street from Tropical Park. Here you will find classic Mexican dishes and we ordered our usual chip with guacamole, a steak burrito and I finally got my chance to try Birria tacos. The chips and guacamole were good and fresh and I liked how the guacamole was placed on tortilla cup. The steak burrito was also good stuffed with good portion of steak, rice, pico de gallo, and beans. The star of the show were the birria tacos which are fried corn tortillas stuffed with beef. It served with a savory consommé for dipping that enhances the flavors. Taco Rico provided a solid meal for a good price.

Randomly stopped by because I was in the area and OMG you have to go!!! Everything was delicious. My friend said these were the best chips & salsa combo he's had in his life. Perfectly salted & crunchy. The veggies in the pico was fresh and had the right amount of lime. We both got the Baja bowl. Mine was steak, his chicken. Before I ever added the salad dressing it was delicious! Every aspect of the bowl was seasoned, the flavors and textures blended perfectly together. The steak was tender and easy to chew!! The salad dressing tasted a little sharp (maybe a vinegar base) but it was still delicious! They also have margaritas but I didn't have any when I went. Overall a great experience.

Great good, great service!! The atmosphere is so chill (unless they're slammed, then it's hard to find a seat!!) but once you secure your seat you're in for a good time!! You get free chips with order and there is self serve salsa. The burrito was so yummy and savory! The birria was just as delicious too! A great value for some great food! Will be returning!

Pretty good food as far as Miami goes. Everything tastes fresh and good quality. Fast service and great selection of salsas. The inside is nothing to brag about, it's borderline fast food and it shows. This isn't a bad thing, it suits the place. The biggest thing for them is the parking situation in this lot. I drove around the whole lot almost 30 mins before I was able to find a spot. If I wasn't meeting an old friend for lunch I wouldn't have tried so hard. Unfortunately I guarantee this is losing them a lot of business by no fault of their own.

Very good Tex Mex fix at affordable prices and good quality. Add side of queso and your goods to go. Always comes with complimentary chips and all the sauces you like. Pico, verde, Atomik. Quesadillas, fajitas, burritos, tacos. All great choices here. They have a lunch special too. Try them out if you're in the area!!!

It was late night after 10:20pm and they were getting ready to close. We were hungry and decided to get a quick bite to go. While my brother order something else, I ordered a chicken quesadillas. It was good and had good size portions of chicken more than Taco bell. This is a good thing. All the food is price good and the amount of food is good. Note when you order a quesadillas you receive a small bag of chips too.

I was on the hunt for Mexican food in the area... yelp suggested this place and did not disappoint. Right in front of Tropical Park this small fast food concept restaurant is good. It has a front counter where you order and a sauce bar next to it. It has some daily specials or lunch specials I should say. They Have a little for everyone... I chose to go with tacos... chicken, meat, beans... $1.00 each (really good deal) and they were fresh and good quality. I tried different sauces as well. Pico de Gallo was nice, green tomatillo sauce delicate yet flavorful. The best for me was the super hot... which to me was just right. Not to overpowering, and I mixed it with the Pico... perfect. Service was fast and the lady at the counter very attentive and nice. I'd love to come back here and try more things. (Enchiladas Suizas to be exact)...

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

The place is dark and dingy for a highly rated place. After this first day experience in south beach im avoiding any of the other popular tourist restaurants for the rest of my stay.
