Taco Tuesday Happy Hour All Day
    Liz C.

Great happy hour all day Tuesday! Good drinks (lime margarita), chips/ salsa, and tacos (carne asada, chicken). First time visit with patio , spacious seating, and indoor seating. Friendly staff and would definitely be back!

We came back for Taco Tuesday! All day on Tuesdays they offer their Taco Tuesday menu. All tacos, soft and hard shell, are $3.25 each. We tried fish, carnitas, shredded beef, and potato. Really two each is plenty and we had three, food coma! They were all good but we liked the carnitas the best. I ordered a Cantarita, similar to a Margarita but more citrus forward including Grapefriut Juice. It was so good, I ordered a second,.which I never do! My husband ordered the Michelada, again, but this time with Modello Negra. Large and tasty! Service was great. Sofy was our server and she was very friendly and attentive! Definitely looking forward to our next visit! Food is very good, generous portions, and prices are great!

Wanted some Tex-Mex and tried Taco Shore for the first time. Took the 121 bus from right outside our Condo in DTLB to right outside Taco Shore. No parking/driving necessary! The staff is super friendly! The prices are very reasonable. Just drinks and apps this trip. Cadillac Margarita in a schooner and a Grey Goose martini for drinks. The Guacamole dip was my favorite. The cheese dip with chorizo is good. The ceviche tostada is ok. All the aperitivos are large portions. Next visit will be for Fajitas and Quesadillas. I'm including the menus as of 2026. Give them a try!

Holy Micheladas!!! Tacos, salad, chips and this beauty! Service was top notch, quick and friendly and great prices. And it's always a great vibe on 2nd street, when the weather is beautiful!! #secondstreetshufflg

We came here on a Sunday afternoon (before Labor day) and the street was lively. There was already a few people eating before us so that was a good sign. They have a pretty big menu, I got the chille relleno and birria taco. The chile was good, big size, really cheesy. But the birria taco was pretty dry and it didn't come with consome which I thought it did :( there was also no onions or cilantro for it either My friends got a burrito, pozole, tacos, and enchiladas which were pretty standard/good. They do have really good margaritas and drinks! The only thing, was the food took a while and we had to keep asking for things like lime, chips + salsa instead of them checking up on us

This place is so cute, they have indoor and outdoor seating. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were red and green for the holiday season. The tacos are big and I ended up only eating one and taking the other two home. The workers are nice and provided good service. ig: @cravingswithcat

Wow, right on Second Ave! We were looking for a new place to eat and came across this place. Let's skip the parking situation for Second Street on a Friday night. It is bad, we all know it. Nothing we can do about it. If it bothers you, done come to this part of town. We came across this place and it had outdoor seating. Thought we would give it a try. We ordered a margarita sampler and some chips/salsa. For a busy Friday, they came out within a reasonable timeframe. The waitress was busy but kept up with e eryone sitting outside. Chips were good but salsa didn't have much flavor. I cannot recommend the margaritas. Any place that makes margaritas south of Fourth Street does something weird with them. Is there some seltzer water or something with carbonation in them? We tried a second sampler with 4 different flavors. I cannot recommend those either. I have to admit that margaritas are more than a sum of their parts. This experience proved it. I ordered the 3 tacos plate with el pastor and chicken. My husband ordered the taco salad. Neither bad quality but it was difficult to say they had flavor. I found myself using a lot of salt to finish my meal. The meal was reasonable (about $40/person with cocktails). I doubt that I would find myself going back. The food and drinks did not impress me as flavorful.

Great food, amazing service and great place to bring the whole family! They have a lot of TVs playing sports games, great bar area and most importantly clean restrooms.

Dropped in after walking around 2 street & this cafe hit the spot! It took about 5 mins but it was good!

We come here all the time. Best service - the staff is so kind, prompt, attentive, and always makes sure our drinks are full and we have everything we need. Food is great and very well portioned (get the spicy salsa), patio is dog friendly, and we always feel like family when we come in. 10/10!

Carnitas tacos. There so good. Best Carnitas ever.

I know this place is called Taco Shore but I decided to order a burrito because I'm a contrarian. First the positive. The service provided was exceptional. Our server was a super friendly and attentive server and she had great support from other employees. Great team effort! My burrito was pretty good, it was HUGE! I wasn't going home after, so I forced myself to eat it since I couldn't store it properly. I was full for 24 hours! 18 bucks to not eat for a day is a good deal in my book. I really loved eating outside on their patio, on a nice summer day, it's great for people watching on 2nd. Now the 2 parts I don't like. 1. They serve their salsa in these tiny little dishes that are probably made for soy sauce at a sushi spot. I get not wanting to have too much waste but 4 or 5 chips will empty the salsa dish. 2. I left my favorite sun hat at our table. I called about 30 minutes to an hour after I left to ask if they had found it and they said they didn't. I was devastated because I love that hat. My buddy went back the next day to see if it was found and he saw it displayed on the wall with some sombreros. I'm super glad they still had it but the situation makes me feel a little weird towards the restaurant.

Overall, it's an OK experience. It's a typical American Mexican restaurant with a bar inside. They have outdoor seating. I ordered three tacos. They were more juicy than I like, but they were not bad either. My favorite thing was the salsa they brought, and chips were very fresh. Service was very good. They are very attentive. Sietting and decoration is kind of old. Prices are OK. Overall again it's an OK experience.

There is metered street parking and it's not too hard to find a spot. The decor is also beautiful and it's a wonderful ambiance with consistent GREAT service. On the real real- I am disappointed in the food. Each time. Every time I've been here I actually don't eat the food beyond a bite or tie because it's just not good. However, I will say if you are looking for a cute place to people watch on second street and grab a cocktail then this is perfect. I've tried over half of the menu and I've never been impressed with anything. I never can even get past one or two bites. I kept going back to give them another shot, but at this point, I've decided I can't recommend anyone to eat here, especially for the price point. This last visit I had an amazing bartender and preserved a poke bowl, ceviche, and shrimp cocktail. None were good and I can't even call them satisfactory. I had two bites of the poke and it was bland, boring, and actually tasted bad. Same with the shrimp. The ceviche was also off and my friend and I left full plates and no questions were asked as to why and if we liked the food. We didn't. Very cute place, friendly servers. Mediocre at best food, and very expensive. This 11th chance leaving disappointed (and hungry) was the last chance. I tried.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

We came to try the LBFS Week Menu, three courses. It was definitely one of the more enticing menus from the list but after seeing the segment on Today LA with Brian Addison, we had to go. Service was excellent. Our server was Luxa and checked on us often! We had a caraf of water on the table and that was perfect! This was my first time to Liv's. I know. Shocking. I've heard good things about this place especially about the oysters, but I guess I just never made the move. Well let me tell you I'm going to keep coming back for those delicious and fresh raw oysters!! Don't look back! This place is so unassuming. Very chill, not too big, and fairly easy to get a table (at least when I visited on HH). Service was good too, no complaints - although closer to the end of the HH, it got a little slower since more people started coming. We ordered 2 dozens of oysters (10/10, will do again). It was $19 per half a dozen, for happy hour. I think on Mondays they have even cheaper price for the oysters, which I'll do next. We also ordered mini wedge (good), lobster rolls (pretty good, but the lobster was slightly dry IMO), crudo, chowder (good taste but it's runny. Wonder if it's their style of chowder or just that one time), fried calamari (good but nothing special), fried oyster caesar (good salad, maybe next time I don't get the fried oyster), hot fish sliders (good). Oh we also got the cocktails, and I really like the margarita. If you've never been to their happy hour, it's a great chance to try on their different dishes and find what you really like. For me, the raw oysters were great and I'm definitely coming back mainly for that!

And England Fish & Chips had been on my radar ever since it popped up, I think, from someone else's Yelp review or YouTube channel. This small spot is in the corner of a strip mall and I've heard the lines can be long at peak hours but at 3pm on a Wednesday, it was a breeze and the friendly and smiling owner gladly took my order. I ordered a "Snacker" Fish & Chips for 7 bucks and change and it came out after perhaps a 5 minute wait after ordering and piping hot. HOLY MOLY; this place is LEGIT. My go-to spot for Fish 'n Chips in L.A. has always been Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica but this place is closer and truly delicious. For just over $7, you get a very large piece of fish and a huge helping of fries. The breading is delicious and perfectly crispy. The fish inside is delicate, flakey and moist. Your meal is served with ketchup and delicious tartar sauce but I'm a traditionalist and love dousing my F&C with Malt Vinegar which is on every table in the joint. I did cheat and tried the tartar sauce for some variety and it was fantastic. What an amazing hidden gem! TIKI DAVE HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDS England Fish & Chips! If you like TIKI DAVE's reviews... The fish was perfectly crunchy and fresh as can be. The couple working it (Hi Michelle) were so sweet and hospitable. They have a special $9.85 (or something like that under $10) for 2 pieces of fish, 2 pieces fried zucchini, fries and coleslaw. Such a steal of a deal. Truly cannot recommend this cute little hole in the wall more. Vibe was great. When I got home my 5 year old said "what's the smelll, can I have that?" And ate my second piece of fish for me. Guess I'll have to go back for more.

I came here because I had a craving for Fish and Chips and this place popped up on Yelp. It's in a…read morestrip mall with a crowded parking lot. The inside looks like it is was an H Salt's, which is what i was looking for. On the other hand, it looks like it hadn't been updated since the 70s, except for a few fishing signs and plants. The menu looks like the original one. It's that old school fried food thing, The woman who takes your order fries the food. I got mine to eat here. She brought the food to my table. It's frozen fish in that famous triangular fish piece that no fish looks like. The fish has good crunch but little actual taste. The tartar sauce does not taste like it was freshly made and it's a little overly sweet. But the friend fish with the vinegar and tartar sauce was what i was looking for. This is the kind of place that is reminiscent of what H Salt was. Maybe my memory of what this tasted like is inaccurate. But it just doesn't taste as good as I remember. But that could be me or the place, or both. If you want this kind of place, it'll work. Just don't expect much.

Tried this last Sunday afternoon around 5pm. Came up from Huntington Beach looking for a great pub…read more This place was awesome. It was pretty much empty in the main bar area and not really full in the patio area. We didn't know what to expect on the weekend as to how busy it might be. We lucked out. Our server was great. She was very helpful when we asked about the beers on tap and offered us samplers to help make up our minds. We ended up getting the Moose Drool dark beer and just gloved it. We ordered an unusual appetizer called an Irish egg-roll. Corned beef and Swiss rolled in an egg-roll batter. These were fantastic. Really good. For our main coarse I ordered the special of swordfish wrap with steak fries. Absolutely great. My wife had the fire burger with a side of fruit. She loved it. I've seen a few negative reviews of the place but our experience was truly 5 star. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. We will absolutely be back. Well done everybody.

He double checked a 2nd time letting them know it was important and they again confirmed no dairy. When he got the rice he took one bite and he thought it tasted like it may have butter he asked again saying "this tastes like it has butter." The employee assured him saying there was no butter. My son was very hungry and so he decided to trust them and ate most of the rice cup. He started feeling sick within minutes and went up a fourth time to ask them. At that point, the employee asked the cook who informed them that butter was used. My son had been dealing with health issues the last two days due to his severe allergy. He is having difficulty breathing, in addition to all the other symptoms that come from dairy allergy. It's very sad to see him in pain knowing the restaurant did not take his allergy seriously and misinformed him. To the owners and staff members please take food allergies seriously. I inner stand people make mistakes. I hope that my son's pain will cause the restaurant to change its policy to take food allergies seriously and that the next person won't suffer. Thank you for your consideration in the request to change your business practices.
