I walked into this taco time for the first time. I look into the staff kitchen, and I noticed this tangerine standing in the middle of the kitchen. I don't know if she was the manager or something cause she stood out to me. Her pants were not covering her behind and her shirt was lifted exposing her lower back tattoo, also her hair was curled and this lady did not have any hair net on. I was like . I tried to ignore that but it made me grossed out a lil. Later, after I got my food, I asked for jalapenos, and when I got them they were nasty wrinkly and not fresh like its been stored for a couple weeks. i dont think id come here for taco time read more

Ok...I don't know who is in charge but this place is a health hazard. We walked in there, waited for one of the group of kids in the kitchen to help us. Not one greeted us or acknowledged our presence. Not even a "can I help you." Then a young girl comes out of the bathroom with cleaning supplies, walks up to the cash register without washing her hands. Then I see a fly whiz thru the kitchen. We told the young lady who didn't wash her hands "no thank you" and walked out. As we walked out the group of kids in the kitchen laughed at us. I want the manager to contact me thru Yelp. So disappointed in this store. We saw the drive thru was way backed up, so we parked and my husband went inside. We waited over 30 minutes for an order of four crispy tacos, churro bites, and a kids' meal with a quesadilla. The teens working there didn't look like they were trying to fill orders at all despite a full drive thru and about 15-20 people waiting in the restaurant WAITING... not even eating. The staff were standing around, joking, and talking. No sense of urgency at all. It was awful. We canceled our order and left. The franchise owner needs to seriously evaluate his or her staff and improve productivity. read more

Here is my problem with Taco Time. I can supply my house with the amount of napkins and hot sauces you give me. I always remind them only 1 of each but usually end up with a fistful of napkins and 2-3 hot sauces. The other issue is that it's not affordable fast food. I have been eating at this Taco Time for a long time now and never have a problem with the food quality. I typically order 1 of 3 things from just plain tacos to a crisp chicken burrito. The reason I can only give this location 3 stars is because of how long the food takes. In fact, with a family of 4 we often swing through fast food drive thrus for convenience since there are always other errands to run while we are out. If I see more than 2 cars in line at this Taco Time's drive thru, I will opt for any other of the fast food opportunities in Fairwood. Last night I really wanted Taco Time so I braved the 4 car line in the drive thru. Took 20 minutes. Not ideal. Food was great though. read more

Consistantly good quality food, average service, but needing a little bit updating inside. My wife grew up in the neighborhood and insisted we go to Taco Time. Coming from Texas, this is definitely not Mexican or even Tex-Mex. Taco Time is by no means my favorite for tacos in general because I always end up messing myself up when I misread the menu. That is all me and I accept that. It is, however, one of my favorite places when it comes to fish tacos! Who would have thunk it? They are delicious and light yet filling at the same time! The salsa and cabbage are just such a bright contrast to the fish. Additionally, I love seeing my husbands face when he mistakenly grabs one of my fish tacos and takes a huge bite - PRICELESS!!! My friends and I came in and they were out of mexi fries, which I understand is out of their control, but how they handled it was not ok. I asked what we could have instead and they said sweet potoaot fries. After paying for my food the manager stated we paid extra, unknowingly, for the sweet potato fries and when I stated how it was not appropriate to tell me a substitute that costs extra instead of one's that do not I just got rude remarks from the manager and multiple employees, dirty looks and no apologizes. This restaurant used to be my healthy go to for fast food. Today I gave it another try The caliber of the food and service has gone down exponentially!! Today I threw my lunch out - both the window person and the person bagging had Morticia length nails - actually curling and were not wearing gloves So unsavory and unsanitary I do not know who is managing these days but the food is either cold and tasteless or if fresh, takes forever. I eat Taco Time 3-4 times a week for lunch. I'm always on the go. It's about the only fast food that either real fresh food or some what healthy to eat. I would have given a five star review but in the last six months.... (Remember I eat there 3-4 times a week so I have eaten there about 91 times.) They have forgotten or messed up my order about 10 times. The food is always been spot on! Great taste and quality. I wish they would add some Street tacos to the menu. read more

Before moving to Hawaii Taco Time was my place for all things quick eats and the Tostada salad was my jam! After moving to Hawaii I felt like I had lost a part of what made me a pacific northwesterner and I didn't have the fresh yummy flavors of Taco Time to make my life complete! I landed June 7th and was in a Taco Time that day! Honestly the Fairwood location has the best quality of food out of the locations I've been too. The team seems to remain the same as well and so the low turn over is awesome to see. I always get great service and every time I need something they always are ready to accommodate!!! Best dining with how much space they offer and honestly I love their hot sauce!!!! The food tastes great and while it's expensive and unhealthy, it's in a completely different league from Taco Bell when it comes to presentation, taste, and quality. Last time Im having Taco Time from the 140th location. Havent been in 4 months because it always turns my stomach inside out and I get explosive diarrhea within 60 minutes. Same thing tonight 1 hr after eating. Use to be a good place to get a fast meal. Not anymore. I never get sick from any of the other restaurants in the Fairwood area. I have eaten Miakos food with a 8-9 heat rating a couple of times per month for years and have never had my insides feel like they do after eating at Taco Time in Fairwood. read more

What i like most about taco time is that the menu items are easily made vegetarian and there is no hidden gluten, soy or dairy in almost everything. The crunchy taco shells are gluten-free and all of the fillings are gluten-, dairy- and soy-free (except the ground beef, it has soy in it). I usually get tacos with black beans instead of meat, no cheese or sour cream and a side of mexi fries, and i'm good to go. There is a very clear allergen chart on the website, which is very helpful if there are any concerns. The service at this location is always friendly. read more

Wow, horrible service experience here today. Came solo and ordered a salad and soft drink. After 20 minutes still no salad. Went to the counter and waited several minutes for acknowledgment despite the six employees working that I could physically see. The person who took my order, who appeared to be a manager, asked if he could get me something else. I replied that I just wanted the food I ordered over 20 minutes prior. After asking someone in the food prep area about my order number, the response was that they were finishing it and an employee started to carry it out. The worst part about it is that it hadn't even been missed - they were just that slow. No additional response or apology from the guy who took my order after he asked the kitchen about it. What can I say? The food was pretty satisfying except for the soggy flavorless rice which was two steps from being dog shit. My personal favorite is the Caesar wrap which just makes my belly so happy. Employees are sweet as hell especially this cute Russian chick that should definitely give me a call sometime. Good food, nice staff, clean dining room, fast service. If you're in the fairwood area and craving some Tex-mex you can't go wrong with Taco Time.
