    Carnitas Mulita

Terrible! I don't know if we got a bad scoop or this is what they do, but their carnitas is the worst we've ever had. Our mulitas were probably 60-70% large unrendered fat chunks. I know carnitas isn't lean, but this was just massive chunks of not even crispy fat...just slimy, flavorless blobs with pretty much no meat inside. Even if the meat wasn't terrible, the tortillas were soggy and their salsas were pretty bland. This was a waste of time and money.

Really fast, great service and affordable and still yummy tacos, my favorite is their birria tacos :) and now they take card which is really nice cuz I normally never have cash on me

I am hesitating to write this review because I want to gatekeep this place. However, that isn't the nicest thing to do, so here I am. Ambiance: 3/5 - I mean, I don't care. It smells like good meat, and there's enough tables to accommodate everyone there. - It is outside, so please wear a jacket if you plan on going late night. Food: 5/5 - Adobada tacos here are better than tacos el gordo. Fight me. - Birria tacos were alright, but still hit the spot. The meat was a bit drier than the pork, so I'll probably stick with the adobada moving forward. Worth a try though for the generous consumme pour. Price: 5/5 -$2 a taco, all the time. Need I say more? Didn't think so. Service: 4/5 - The people who run this place are pretty no-nonsense in the name of efficiency, and I can get behind that. Stayed until closing once and said goodbye to them- they seemed like nice people!

2 dollar tacos for adobada and birria. It's not the best tacos, but for the price, they are great. Street parking is easy.

Definitely one of my favorite taco places in SD. They are great for a late night craving if you are familiar with the Linda Vista neighborhood. They are open 6pm-12am daily, sometimes as late as 1am on the weekend for about $2 each. They also have tortas and burritos with a full salsa bar. Their best tacos are the cabeza, which are hard to find sometimes in SD. Taco truck can be hard to find at first. They are usually always on Comstock St. and Kelly St. In front of a vacant parking lot. Definitely a must try if you are in the area!

Tacos are pretty good for the price. Can't complain much when you're eating a $1.50 al pastor taco at 11pm on a Thursday

We started out with the Mexican street corn along with the chips and salsa. I've always had Mexican street corn that was on the cob, but I really liked it this way. Would definitely get it again because it was very good. We both ordered the spicy skinny margarita. Best skinny margarita I've ever had. Yum I ordered the traditional cheese enchilada because that's my go to for Mexican food. So good! The flavor was spot on. Lots of melty cheese. Everything was excellent and I would definitely be back when I'm in town.

They are great humans and really helpful in explaining the various drink specials (margarita trees are highly recommended), the local flavor favorites, and just the area itself. My coworker and I got the elote and the chicken tinga cheese crisp to share. The elote was okay. The Cheese Crisp was really satisfying, basically reminded me of a Mexican Pizza with the tortilla base. It's a cool spot to come hangout if you are the area.

Overview: very quick and friendly service, yummy California Burrito according to my bf…read more ---- We placed an order through the phone for a California Burrito ($13.90) and a Fish Taco ($5.50) and they said it would be ready in 5 minutes! We left right away to pick up the food and sure enough it was ready waiting for our arrival. One quick drive back home to dig in and the aroma was so enticing. California Burritos is very apt for their name, my bf rates it a 10/10. As a California Burrito connoisseur, he liked the addition of sour cream in it and said the flavors were delicious. He topped it with their green salsa for a little bit of a freshness to cut through the richness and fattiness of the meat and fries in the burrito. He didn't care for the fish taco that much and rated it a 4/10 but said the restaurant overall was a 10/10, as he thought there was too much lettuce and tomato throwing off the ratio of the taco. I, on the other hand, am a huge fan of veggies and liked the ample amount they provided. ---- There's a couple benches outside in front of the shop and seating at booth tables inside as well. It's a bit smaller to sit inside, I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air and the sunset is beautiful. ---- Overall: if you're in the mood for California Burritos come to the place rightly named California Burritos!

That said, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this burrito. It's large, filling, but their sauce had an almost artificial red color to it. Despite the weird look of the sauce, it had decent spice, wasn't overwhelming but wasn't weak either. Parking is very difficult here, and seating is limited. It's a small tack shop style place, made more for to-go orders. Service was fast and friendly. Their horchata is where they really lose a star, it's from a fountain and tastes like it, watered down artificial flavor. However you don't come here for the drinks, you come here for the large tasty California Burritos, hence the name. They've definitely won me over and I'll be back when in the area. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

I love that you could mix and match the chicken parts of your choice and are not just confined to 2 of the same. If you want a thigh and a tender you could do that, or if you wanted wings and a thigh you could do that! I had the chicken tenders which were very large. 2 pieces were more than enough for 1 person. The tenders were more like chicken breasts but cut into tenders. However they were still very good!! I tried the sichuan seasoning on the side and I really liked it. It reminded me of shichimi seasoning and had a mild spice. I believe you can order it spicier if you wish. As for sides, my kids got the fries and the fries were excellent. Someone in our party got the mashed potato and that was excellent also. My favorite side however was the hainan rice!!! It was so flavorful and fluffy, my daughter loved it as well.
